^^^^ We didn't have an easy schedule last season.......[Edited on November 27, 2005 at 2:08 PM. Reason : ]

if he had no regrets, he wouldnt be complaining about it. at least unc has a coach that embodies his school motto: if you cant win, whine about it.
11/27/2005 2:09:00 PM
^ We have a winnerUNC, in a box, folks. If you win, brag. If you dont win, whine and blame it on everyone else.
11/27/2005 2:12:05 PM
^^^what got you to a bowl last year?UNC last yearWilliam and Mary (cupcake)GT (ok, but not that great)NCST (Shitty)Miami (Only good win)Wake (Shitty)Duke (Shitty)so you had one good win, maybe two if you count GTNCST this yearEKU (cupcake)GT (Started off good, still decent)USM (decent)FSU (Good win)MTSU (Shitty)Mary (decent)looks very similiar if you ask me.
11/27/2005 2:25:29 PM
Thanks PackBacker. At least Mr. Lucas followed up with this:
11/27/2005 2:28:25 PM
^^ Oh cmon, that's incredibly misleading. We can only choose the non-conference opponents on our schedule, which were Utah, Louisville, and William Mary. Utah was undefeated and Louisville lost only one game. Sure, William and Mary was a cupcake but one game hardly accounts for a weak schedule.
11/27/2005 2:37:07 PM
yeah . . . maybe i was off a little on the weak schedule part. But the point was how each got to a bowl.^^and you could say that about almost any team including NCST, UNC, FSU, . . .. Oh, a few bad passes here and there, a few dropped balls, a few untimely penalties, etc . . .The point is that those are mistakes and good teams don't make those mistakes. That is why they win. they just barely pulled out a win against william and mary last year and counted it towards their bowl eligibility

that is a lie though we didnt "schedule" themwe played them after teams we did schedule backed out

They magically appeared on our schedule.

Let's not forget that WE have a QB from Nebraska coming in next year too. We got #2 on their depth chart; UNC got #3. I had forgotten about this guy until this weekend.http://www.redandwhitefromstate.com/article.php/20051026085003527
11/27/2005 4:09:52 PM
hey guys, guess who's going to a bowl and who isn't...
11/27/2005 4:13:38 PM
^^Is he gonna play?I thought he was rasslin' only?
11/27/2005 4:14:35 PM
well the article appears to be from today, and it implies that he will play
11/27/2005 4:15:38 PM
Eh, didn't read it. I figured it was the old article from way back when he announced his transfer here. Guess I should look before askingWhat's up with NC State and prettyboy QB's
11/27/2005 4:18:22 PM
the actual article about him:
11/27/2005 4:19:38 PM
Why is this thread 2 pages? We're bowl boundThey're notEnd of story
11/27/2005 4:20:59 PM
So just to clarify…. It was Matt Baker that said everything and not John Bunting right? I was having a hard time believing a coach would take a personal shot at a team like that. Anyways, people can talk all they want because we all know we struggled this year, but in the end our guys didn’t give up and we had a better season than UNC.
11/27/2005 4:23:49 PM
There's really no point making the argument anyway. State was supposed to play Temple and Louisville and didn't for reasons beyond their control. Besides, UNC was crap last year and got exposed in their bowl game for it. If the same happens to NC State, then you can tout the easy schedule. [/thread]

11/27/2005 4:47:11 PM
sdfEven if it was Matt Baker, it doesn't matter. They're basically admitting that their team was too shitty to compete with Louisville and Wisconson.[Edited on November 27, 2005 at 4:53 PM. Reason : ^beat me to it]

^ he is probably talking about the fact that not every ACC team played eached other this year so upon adding Miami, Boston College and V Tech there was no way for any ACC team to know ahead of time who all of their ACC opponents would be until the ACC dealt the schedule.
11/27/2005 7:24:31 PM
11/27/2005 7:26:48 PM
Its still a cop out, no matter how you look at it. They may very well have lost to Southern Miss also. I doubt they would have had trouble with MTSU though.
11/27/2005 7:35:26 PM
I should save all the anti-State comments that Bunting makesto bring out the next time someone from UNC tries to say "oh, we're not rivals!" (which will be the next time they lose to us).
11/27/2005 7:37:25 PM
yeah, they pull that card when it isn't beneficial for them to beat us.

Interesting Notre Dame #63 with 2 losses. Yeah they deserve a BCS bowl.
11/27/2005 11:20:17 PM
Something else I remembered today...UNC had the worst loss in the entire history of their program this year (Louisville)and now they want a prize for this season?
11/28/2005 8:12:48 AM
carolina's 6th and we're 21st big whopp .... 21 out of 117 is still pretty high :x
11/28/2005 11:05:18 AM
Did anybody mention that we beat two teams UNC wasn't able to beat, and one team that they most likely wouldn't have beaten? That's right, and I'd hope it was up there somewheres, because that's the bottom fucking line. I'm sick, goddamned sick of those whiney cry babies predictably coming through on shit like this. Well, you can take a stab all you want, but the bottom line is that we have another out of conference game to prove it doesn't take a weak schedule to make our team look good these days, and don't forget that every poll in the country has us ranked about 20 spots over the fucking faggot tar holes. And ps, I don't know the credibility of the thread-starting statement here, but I seriously wouldn't put it past puppy eyed Bunting to say some shit like that. If I ever see that bastard in person he's gonna know how I feel about his stupid ass.
11/28/2005 11:15:19 AM
hey guyswe have a perfect opportunity to really piss them off.if we win our bowl game.........lets have another parade!scrumps: hang out at the park place movie theatre. Apparently the team goes there to watch movies.[Edited on November 28, 2005 at 11:18 AM. Reason : .]

OK, I just need to get this out. I understand the whole Louisville, Va Tech non-conf. schedule. But to keep using TEMPLE as a example of a good team we've scheduled is a little bit crazy. This is the same winless or nearly-winless team that exists right now, right?Temple didn't win a few conference championships when no one was looking, did they? The argument is still true. We scheduled VT and L-ville for non-conf. opponents, which would have been a respectable OOC at the VERY least.

11/28/2005 12:17:44 PM
i dont know, but the article is from yesterday. you'd think they'd mention it if he was cut.
