I'm pretty certain they stopped doing that (at least knowingly taking in convicts).

Or that being said, I have yet to see it.

Reporting a cheater was never a question. The question was whether being caught cheating in school automatically results in problems with the military. I'm just curious how closely they watch their personnel.

I don't see how the chain of command would be alerted to the fact that the person was cheating aside from them being told about the incident in question. There's virtually no way for them to find this out aside from maybe (in the case of ROTC) seeing an "F" on a report card from the class.

Funny espn has their own special movie "code breakers" about army or navy football players that cheat on exams.....pretty sure it violates some kind of honor code and you would be kicked out.

Yeah, well, his student file would have it in writing. So I don't know if the chain of commandf would have access to his student file.

I don't care what the hell you are or where you came from. You cheat, you face severe punishment. Just because you are military, does not exempt you from the rules.

i think the argument is pretty much centered around whether or not a serviceman should get into "extra" trouble.

i say "it depends", and outlined the conditions earlier.

^^^

If it's ROTC, there's a possibility as they have a lot of the same priveleges as an academic department. The department regularly checked on grades. That being said, I don't think people sit around all day reviewing dozens of student records actively looking for cheating instances--or if they even have access to that information to begin with.

If it's active duty/reserve/national guard, they wouldn't have access to that information.

UCMJ

we get our asses handed to us if we even look like we cheat

if its an officer/candidate or whatever, throw the book at him, officers are suppose to be the gentlemen of the services, the best of the best as they say

if its enlisted...i say go ahead and do the same thing
