I saw this the other night on MSNBC. I thought it was rather funny that the guy on MSNBC called this propaganda even a couple months before, he was prasing artists for speaking their minds about Bush. hmmm just makes me wonder.

^^maybe b/c those artists dont just exists b/c of current events.i mean, its one thing when eddie vedder sings about a police state, hes been doing that for years, regardless of the president...its another thing when youre band and promoter's sole, stated purpose is to "fill kids minds with truth" or, well, just read:http://thinkprogress.org/rightmarch-email/

after viewing the video, all i can say is, well, at least they're using Elixer guitar strings, those are damn good strings.
11/21/2005 4:24:26 PM
eww. no they aren't
11/21/2005 5:48:14 PM
Can't stand the feel of those strings myself.
11/21/2005 6:29:16 PM
well, its what ive always used. my best friend got me hooked on them in hs and i havent really tried anything else recently.

Why don't they just request Toby Keith? He at least doesn't just exist because of current events and his lyrics are equally as compelling/well thought out.Anyone else find it funny that they name two marginal singles from last year as being the reason the youth of America are so "misinformed"?I'm a little upset Green Day's "American Idiot" gets no mention...[Edited on November 26, 2005 at 5:51 AM. wow those are awful. They sound like beer comercials, but with stupid political lyrics. How anyone can take that for serious music is well beyond me. And if conservatives really think this is going to make the left go "hey, after hearing this wonderfully prepared musical overture, I think I WILL support the president!!" then they aren't even as smart as I thought.
11/26/2005 8:25:33 AM
oh boy...http://rightmarch.com/this is what i get for remembering this thread. apparently since noone would request that song, theyve decided to turn it into a commercial and just buy airtime to show it. its smart, really.and if mtv wont air it, THEYRE REPRESSING FACTS! ON PURPOSE!if you watch the video, they use a quote from Al Jazeera. kekekekekekek....

When I read the lyrics, heck even when I heard it I though "We didn't start the fire" then I read the second post.BTW. The very first thing I thought when I heard it was... cool they put lyrics to sonic the hedgehog tunes.[Edited on December 15, 2005 at 8:45 AM. Reason : -]

^ha that's pretty good.First off, they are putting the ad on the wrong station. On Fox they are preaching to the chior. Heck, I'm republican and even I think it would be a good idea to 1) Find an instance of how/where the president has been correct. Then 2) Write a song about it. They jumped right to step 2.
