Just got a reply from Judge Overby.

It would seem a little odd to become even more punitive, although that is not out of the question. This is probably a lot more than you wanted, but I am not aware of any new speed limit for Wake County, do not think Wake County could set any such speed limit lawfully, and I am not aware of any new policy of the DA which might be related to speeding cases. 143 in 55.....damn traffic.......and 145 in 70... on I-40 ..........got a ticket a yr and a half ago for 83-55.......court costs and driving school and i was done ......no points....

^^^wtf, how do you get a ticket for anything over 120... it should be a non issue getting away.
