I went to Jax's last night and they were pretty good.

this thread seems so funny to me seeing as I'm in Buffalo

here if you go some place and the wings suck, they won't stay in business very long

Whole Foods, sauce of your choosing, a few hours - you get quality stuff right at home for less money.

zaxby's wings are too small

yes, mathfreak is correct, making them yourself is the best way to do it most of the time. i usually go with Frank's buffalo sauce, add some garlic extract, and a little bit of cayenne... and cook the wings twice.

i oven bake them, because the fryer is just too messy, but basically i cook the wings for about 10 minutes, then coat them with sauce, then cook them again. it causes the sauce to really bond to the skin and meat. then when i take them off i run them through the sauce again.

its good times

i cook them for about 30 minutes in the oven at around 400 to give them a crisp texture

baking them is a little more healthy than the fryer.

i've tried baking them and never really liked the outcome as much so i just fry the biatches. luckily i don't eat them [almost] everyday anymore so its not too big of a deal for the extra-unhealthiness

so i finally gave left wings right a try last night and was not to impressed. i got the buffalo fingers and just didn't find the chicken to be as good as wing zone's. haven't had the wings yet. the buffalo sauce was good, got the second hottest but nothing amazing enough to keep me coming back. i'm thinking playmakers is on my list to try next, does anyone know of a hole in the wall place within reasonable driving distance that makes amazing wings?

Buffalo Wild Wings (BW3's for the old timers) probably has the best wings I've had. They are a national chain and have locations in Garner and Chapel Hill.

bw3's had the crappiest servers i've ever been a guest of

it took them 45 minutes to refill my diet coke, but regularly cleared the table of plates and napkins
