Bleh, sports games don't count because of all the licensing and company hiking bs. It is a similar concept though. They sell it at that price because the consumer will pay that price.Besides, those aren't real games anyways .My quote from previous page:

I paid all my birthday money ($60 I think) for Super Mario Kart for SNES back when it first came out like 12 years ago.[Edited on August 20, 2005 at 4:52 PM. Reason : or was it $70?]
8/20/2005 4:42:51 PM
games used to cost more because they were on cartridges.the carts themselves cost more to produce, plus publishers had to pay royalties to the patent owners (nintendo/sega) to produce them.
8/20/2005 5:38:02 PM
Analysts have been predicting for some time that the price of games would jump up as they became more expensive to produce.

PS3 all the way
8/21/2005 12:49:27 AM
^I'm still waiting for them to release believable footage and / or a system playing a demo.
8/21/2005 1:02:41 AM
yeah they are being slack, or secretive... hopefully the latter which will lead to some impressive game play
8/21/2005 1:11:08 AM
fuck xbox 360, fuck ps3, nintendo revolution is where its at
8/21/2005 11:09:18 AM
just buy a damn computer
8/21/2005 11:16:46 AM
i want to see what is so damn secretive about the Revolution controller. They have been hiding it for months b/c they are scared someone will copy it....Here is my prediction...it will have 1-2 joysticks, a d-pad, buttons like the current controller, triggers, as well as a touchpad screen ala DS.
8/21/2005 11:26:09 AM
^ WRONG...its gonna be 2 power gloves and a track and feild mat all in one.
8/21/2005 12:03:15 PM
8/21/2005 12:42:44 PM
8/21/2005 12:56:46 PM
well i didn't know if they would call them L & R or not...so i just said triggers
8/21/2005 1:56:37 PM
Those are shoulder buttons, not trigger buttons. The Z button on N64 was a trigger.
8/21/2005 2:04:10 PM
yeah you are right...for some reason i was thinking about the xbox
8/21/2005 2:08:48 PM
and the l + r button on an xbox controller are shaped, now stay with me here it gets complicated, like triggersand you squeeze them, can you follow me, LIKE TRIGGERS!
8/21/2005 2:11:07 PM
People call them triggers on the PS2 and Gamecube too.I'm not entirely sure but did the Dreamcast call them triggers?
8/22/2005 8:50:06 AM
lets see, what do those buttons usually function as in many of the games that utilize them.......hmmmmmmm.....triggers?don't be gay on terms like paintball ppl who get their panties in a bunch when you call it a paintball gun instead of a marker.[Edited on August 22, 2005 at 8:57 AM. Reason : .]
8/22/2005 8:56:22 AM
I've always called them triggers.By the way I remember seeing Atari Jaguar games retailing for like $875 yo
8/22/2005 10:24:24 AM
^Just the games? Damn. I think I remember that system... was the controller black with like 10 red buttons on it?
8/22/2005 10:35:26 AM
The L & R buttons on the Dreamcast and Xbox controllers are triggers, but the shoulder buttons on the PS2 controller aren't. It's a question of orientation.
8/22/2005 12:04:35 PM
shoulder buttons are so queer
8/22/2005 12:11:30 PM
^^^
8/22/2005 12:41:28 PM
I still have a working coleco vision at my mom's house. complete with donkey kong, mouse hunt???, and damn..... some space game.
