Jessica Simpson as Daisy...perfect.

Willie Nelson as Uncle Jessie...even more perfect.

Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg...you need someone shorter and fatter. Danny Devito's look and Burt Reynolds' voice.

Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott as Bo and Luke Duke... ...

Ben Jones is coming to my family's nursery July 31 for a concert... I've heard he's really been drumming up anti-support for this movie. I personally don't think i'll see it just because I can't picture Burt as Boss Hog And does anyone else think it strange that this movie is released at the same time as the dodge charger? first the itallian job now the General lee

also in the movie:

Farva, Ramathorn, and Rabbit.

i dont understand why they have a lot of 80's cars in the movie trying to make it like the show, but then have a brand new Jeep Rubicon and sponsors like Yahoo!. I just dont understand it

I saw it yesterday afternoon.

I'm not going to complain about any movie where I get to spend 1.5 hours watching Johnny Knoxville & Sean William Scott.

Jessica Simpson wasn't that bad. HockeyRoman enjoyed her.

I don't know why. It was very entertaining. I don't think that I would be a fan of the original series, but the movie was very funny. It did a good job of not just trying to appeal to hicks. The funniest aspects of it were the subtle bits of humor. I don't want to say too much without giving anything away (not that it really would). Jessica Simpson reached a new level of hottness.

It was pretty entertaining. You can't go in wanting to hate it or you will. The stunts with the cars was worth the ticket price!

very entertaining and well worth the price of admission. Jessica Simpson alone was worth that, but I really did find myself laughing at several of the jokes. THe outtakes are fucking hilarious.

If you had never seen the Dukes of Hazzard before it was hilarious and pretty entertaining. There were quite a few moments where I just sat back and thought that they were kind of butchering the original Dukes of Hazzard though, but all in all, it was a fun experience. And one has to love Jessica Simpson.

All of the Dukes were well cast IMHO.

However, here's the bad:

I just couldn't accept Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg. WTF were they thinking when they wrote and cast Roscoe P. Coltrane? Did Boss Hogg ever conspire to have the Dukes killed? WTF is up with the conspiracy guy? And finally, did the original Dukes ever smoke large amounts of weed?

Thought the movie was great, and much better than a lot of the critic reviews I've seen.

Jessica Simpson did much better than I expected, and dang she was hot in this movie, well worth the money just for her.

^^^It's worth noting that in the 70s and 80s there was no way any character on a kid-friendly TV show would smoke weed.

I saw it Friday night with a friend, but I have never seen the orginal Duke's of Hazzard TV show...anyhow,

I thought that Jessica Simpson was terrible in it. Her acting skills are complete crap...she had one line scenes... (worse than Madonna)...and I liked Newlyweds (mind you)... anyways, she was barely in it for all of the publicity that she got. Her scenes were less than a minute long.

As for Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville...They were awesome and it was really funny! All of their scenes rocked.

I'm not saying that the movie was bad b/c of Jessica Simpson...I just expected more out of her since they made such a big deal about it saying that this is "her" movie when it is clearly Seann and Johnny's...

I'm not a prude, but I remember the Dukes being a lot more kid-friendly. Somehow it just didn't fit to see them flipping off Roscoe and company. I thought it might have been more fitting to use the Dixie horn instead of flipping them off.

^^She played an important character, but from the previews and such I really didn't get the vibe that she would be the focal point of the movie. They just made the point that it was her first movie and that she would be showing off the goods through-out the movie, which she did. I thought it was a great first gig for her.

I am guess not, but Willy Nelson does. That was one of the hilarious subtle jokes that unless your knew that Willy smoked up you wouldn't have gotten.

Really? Because every article and preview/interview I've seen for it, the interviewer is more concerned about Jessica Simpson's role than they are about Seann and Johnny's.

Probably because Jessica's role is so opposite of how she likes to view herself. Jessica has always claimed to be shy and reserved, but this character is very sexy and uses her "goods" to her advantage. Or perhaps because it's her first role, or because she's ultra hot and most of the guys don't really care how Johnny Knoxville or Seann William Scott really felt about playing the Duke boys, haha.

I knew that Daisy was somewhat of a main character, but she was just important because she was always bailing the Duke boys out. Most of the interviews and such I read were really pointing out the fact that Daisy Duke isn't just some bimbo with a nice body, but in fact that she uses her mind and devises plans to help her cousins out.

Farva is hilarious in this movie, haha.

Ramathorn's part was hilarious, but instead of that skit, the should have done the "meow" one, haha.
