apoc is probably the most powerful x-men villian, aside from maybe xavier's son (forgot his name) but he is def not a badass and he wouldn't make for that great of a moviei think maybe inclusion of the morlocks might make for an ok movie
3/17/2005 8:00:29 PM
good call on the morlocksapoc is seriously teh gheyplz keep him off movie screens...
3/17/2005 8:22:47 PM
I think Apoc would be awesome....and he doesn't have to be a machine-like character or anything. He can just be some badass in some armor that looks like Apoc. And yes, it could be turned into a trilogy, how successful it can be depends on the storylines of course. But i can see 1) Apoc showing up, beating up Magneto, recruits Mystique away from Erik, ultimately able to kidnap Angel from the Xmen and brainwash him 2)Apoc turns Angel into Archangel and big fight sequence with Xmen trying not to hurt Angel and Apoc eventually gains the upper hand until an unknown character blasts him from the back leading to Apoc's retreat 3)Cable's here to get rid of Apoc where eventually Archangel remembers who he is with Professor X's help ending with Apoc and Cable being killed in some huge blast.

sometimes comic book elements should stay in comic booksapocalypse and any other over fanastical element just doesn't work in a live action movieit would be just like the uniforms...vibrant red, white, blue, yellow costumes aren't cool in real liferemember what happen with Super Mario Bros.?
3/17/2005 8:38:19 PM
apoc is just too all-powerful and outlandish for the movie to work well. he would be just as bad as having the shiar empire show up, or mojo suck them to his worldi still think a sentinels/hellfire club theme in the movie would be the best
3/17/2005 8:44:14 PM
No, seriously.... Apocalypse does not belong in the X-MEN movies. Frankly, I don't want to see any of these elements show up in the franchise:ApocalypseCableStryfeBishop"Days of Future Past"The BroodMr SinisterThe Shi'arMadelyne PriorThe Savage Land"Age of Apocalypse"ArchangelJuggernaut"Inferno"Psylocke as an English woman trapped in an Asian bodyThe third Summers brotherAnything involving space or time travelArcadeMojo, the Mojoverse, Longshot, et alThings that I do think would suit themselves well to the X-MEN movie franchise:"Mutant Massacre"The MorlocksGenoshaSentinelsThe Mutant Registration ActThe Hellfire Club, Emma Frost, Sebastian ShawDazzlerBeastStorm losing her powersHavokOmega Red if they tie his origin in with Professor XMuir Island, Moira MacTaggert, Legion"Proteus Saga"

3/17/2005 9:08:25 PM
i think juggernaut could work will so long as they change his originno Crimson Jewel of Cyttorak or whatever it was called, just a straight up mutantand his invulnerablity made him invulnerable to aging, so they could use him as X's brothergenosha would be good, muir island maybe
3/17/2005 9:16:55 PM
3/17/2005 9:53:42 PM
KRAKOA? More like KRAKNOA [/davidspade]And if I were going to do Havok, I think I'd introduce him as a mutant magistrate working for Genoshan government and not reveal him to be Cyclops' brother until midway through the movie.
3/17/2005 10:02:09 PM
^that would set up perfectly for a fight between the twoand the audience that doesn't read the books wouldn't know what the hell was going on...
3/18/2005 12:47:52 AM
Oh, please...I hope they leave Gambit out of it. He has to be the worst of the X-Men. Absolutley the dumbest character to join the X-men.
3/18/2005 2:05:29 AM
http://filmforce.ign.com/x-men/articles/596/596852p1.htmlBeat and Angel will be major characters in the next one. Gambit will be in but not a major character
3/18/2005 7:05:53 AM
I agree that Gambit is lame as an X-Man. I can see using him in the movies, but not as a part of the team. I think he works much better as either a villian or strictly the loner that he is by design.
3/18/2005 7:59:53 AM
its simply poor business to leave gambit out of the movie all together.and really, it's a dumb idea to keep him in a minor role...
3/18/2005 8:17:31 AM
3/18/2005 9:03:07 AM
That just doesn't make a whole lot of sense if they are doing "Dark Phoenix Saga." That's story's really more about Cyclops than it is Jean Grey.
3/18/2005 10:32:51 AM
i'm picturing angelina jolie as psylocke
3/18/2005 10:51:15 AM
I'm picturing me vomiting.
3/18/2005 10:56:18 AM
i'd like to see what they can do with magneto by introducing quicksilver and scarlet witch
3/18/2005 2:23:54 PM
that shit has got to be wrong (the less-cyclops part)just like its slowly coming out that Angel shit is bogus...i think magneto needs to magically become younger eric somehowi mean, i  ian mckellan, but if this thing is gonna go beyond a trilogy, which it should, we need young blood...hell, jean grey(famke) will be 40 by the time the third one drops - not that we need to get rid of her too...
3/18/2005 5:39:03 PM
I heard Halle Berry wasn't going to do the movie unless they made her role in the movie alot bigger. So expect a more involved STORM plotline...Speaking of accents Rouge loses her accent quite alot in the movies as well.[Edited on March 19, 2005 at 12:42 AM. Reason : aascsdc]
3/19/2005 12:39:49 AM
I've heard that they already have a replacement for Berry. Also, the whole Angel is a girl thing has to be fake. They wouldn't shit on fans that badly . . . I hope.
3/19/2005 12:51:31 AM
i haven't run a scientific poll or anything, but i've seen a lot more sites running with the "angel is a girl" thing as being fakefingers crossed indeed...
3/19/2005 1:22:55 PM
Colossas wasn't Russian in X2... so i dont think they're really following the comics that closely
3/19/2005 2:55:01 PM
3/19/2005 3:21:25 PM
3/19/2005 5:38:39 PM
all i'm saying is that Angel being a girl is more than plausible as that they aren't following neither the comic history nor the fanboy wishes.
3/19/2005 8:23:00 PM
And Iceman is a kid. Wolverine helps Rogue. No Beast or Angel. Sabretooth, Mystique, and Toad working for Magneto. The list goes on.[Edited on March 19, 2005 at 8:59 PM. Reason : true]
3/19/2005 8:59:18 PM
welltechnicallybobby drake was a "kid" when prof x first brought him inmystique has worked for magnetotoad def worked for magnetowolverine helping rogue isn't that outlandish since he is basically like a father to the girl in the original books, and is like a big brother to rogue in the ultimate-booksand you're right, girl angel is plausiblebut i'm pretty sure it ain't happening(FINGERS CROSSED)-------------hey i just found this looking for some stuff:
3/19/2005 10:26:59 PM
^^Toad was an original member of the brotherhood (along with Mastermind, Quicksilver, Scarlett Witch) with Magneto as its leader.^I read somewhere about strykers ring and that it was either a masonic symbol, an anti-semetic symbol, or anti-muslim. There was actually a muslim group that boycotted/protested X2 because they cited all these subtle anti-muslim signal from stryker (although if that is true...he's the villain...so)
3/20/2005 4:01:09 PM
^oh yeah, i remember that now that you mention it...
3/20/2005 4:25:26 PM
I wasn't aware that Wolverine helped Rogue out in the old books, thanks.I meant if Bobby was a kid, than all the other 4 should've been kids too(Jean, Cyclops, Beast, and Angel)And I knew that Mystique and Toad had worked for Magneto, its just them together with Sabertooth was an awfully odd combination to have at the same time.
3/20/2005 4:54:57 PM
oh snapdamn, i was getting ahead of myselfi meant shadowcat in the original booksand also to an extent, jubileesorry
3/20/2005 4:59:04 PM
didn't sabertooth fuck mystique in the comics?
3/20/2005 5:08:19 PM
how ya think nightcrawler came about
3/20/2005 5:31:50 PM
actually her and sabertooth are the parents of graydon creedher and some demon/mutant guy are the parent's of nightcrawler
3/20/2005 5:48:01 PM
off topic a bit, but anyone remember the onslaught saga? I think he could be the worst villian the marvel universe had since most of the characters died, best I can remember.
3/20/2005 6:45:35 PM

Beast has already made a cameo in the x-movies. And NOT in his blue furry form.edit: it was in X2, played by Steve Bacic[Edited on March 26, 2005 at 3:14 PM. Reason : more info]
