Alfonso was a better fighter than I was giving him credit for. I think he probably can win the whole thing with Ishe gone now. I like the way Joey is playing the fellow guys though. Hopefully Sergio won't convince everyone else of what Joey is doing. Either way I would be happy to see Alfonso or Joey win the whole thing.

i think it shows sergio's intelligence that he see's what joey is doing. most of the other guys just think that he is being a nice guy. even though when sergio faught before and i think he said that he might not have had that much school, he reads so many books and analyizes them that he seems very intelligent.

there were 2 episodes last night, one right after the other. In the first episode, Sergio beat Ishe, and in the second episode, alfonso beat hollywood (Ahmed is him name, right?)

I thought Alfonso's quote was great:

"He was great though. But no one likes to lose, especially two times in a row."

I laughed when he said that. That kid is gaining some serious respect.

good fight but had joey won after the butt he would have had to withdraw, that cut was deep pluse he had at least some bruised ribs.

as for as next week's surprise my guess is either a DQ you saw punches after the ref was in between the fighters or a draw after 5 rounds.

i think it would be a lame surprise to see a draw. i dont think bonsante or jesse are a threat to win the whole thing, but hopefully next week will be another good fight.

I really didn't see the knockout of Bonsante coming. He dominated Jesse that whole fight til right at the very end.

^I agree with you. I think Jesse is done, although it sounded as if maybe Manfredo had a rematch. If this is the case maybe, maybe Jesse can beat Sergio 'the snake'.

jesse landed a lucky shot because anthony was wailing away with no regard to covering his head at all. if he had just covered up and been conservative that last round he probably would have won.

i don't think that jesse can beat sergio. i think it will be sergio and alfanso in the finals.

^ i think it will be sergio and alfonso too. unless they are matched up in the next round, in which case i would take manfredo over jesse.

you could see a real lack of boxing skills on anthony's part. hes a strong puncher, and he was able to keep up his high number of punches, but yeah, he was all over the place with his punches leaving himself wide open. you could tell the second he hit the mat from that second uppercut he was done for.

The lack of confidence in Jesse made it seem like he just didn't want it. He constantly talked like he was fighting a losing battle. While I was sick of anthony, I didn't really want to see him lose like that with a lucky punch.

good fight tonight. had the fight gone 5 rounds like the rest, i think alfonso would have won. i thought he had it, but that uppercut really slowed him down. i dont quite get peter. one round he looks like he is dominating, the next, he is getting dominated. it was cool watching them exchange shots at the end, but after seeing the corrales vs. castillo fight, nothing will ever compare.

i am pretty dissapointed to see alfonso lose, i was rooting for him. now i hope sergio wins. alfonso definatly had trouble because of the extended rounds, i remember on the five round fights he looked tired by the end of the fifth, so seven didn't help.

Aaaahhhhh I hated that episode!

Peter shouldn't even be IN the damn thing anymore, it's not fair that he got voted back on and has a chance to win everything now. Alfonso played the game fair and had won every fight, he deserves to be there more than Peter. Damn it that pisses me off.

Awesome to see Sergio beat Peter and I'm glad that Alfonso got a fight for a pretty good ammount of money. What a final episode. I wonder if there will be a season 2?

what was the deal with the clips that people voted on? like there was one where anthony picked up ishe over his shoulder, and ishe won and was wearing a home made number one dad hat. also, it seemed like 3rd place got 200k and 2nd got nothing.

if you go to the yahoo contender site, they have full clips of the entire fan favorite fights. i didnt watch the whole thing cause the show started on tv, but ishe and anthony started to get into, and anthony was getting drilled w/ some bombs.

i read on cnn that the contender wont be coming back, but that fight was a hell of a way to go out. great fight, and although the judges made the right decision, i dont agree with their scoring. one judge had sergio winning every round.

...i just went to the site and signed up for the contender alerts, and it said something like "don't miss the rematch" so im not sure what the plan is, but im guessing they will try and schedule a rematch.

i would like to see alfonso fight sergio. One thing I didn't like is how they went to commercial after every round, right when the bell rang it went away then came back a minute later. I guess they have to get their advertising in but come on, that was obnoxious ,

I think Sergio won the fight, but the scoring was definitely fucked up now trash talking the corner was a low low low low move. If it wasn't for a million bucks i would have nut shoted him right there. It just goes to prove that mexicans are good at more than just gardening and cleaning shit they can fight.
