I thought it was funny that the description that my cable box gave me a few weeks back refered to a "Samuel Fields". It took me a while to realize that Time Warner would probably have to put that instead of "Nigger General."

season finale was awesome.

My favorite part is at the wedding when Jane slugs this guy and says "what are you looking at?", and the guy replies from the ground, "I ain't looking at you!"

Alma & Ellsworth - married

I was wondering if they would change the character of Seth Bullock now that he's had to go through his step-son/nephew being killed and his former lover getting married. He seemed like a bit of a drunk at the end of the finale. I half hope that they pursue this and turn him into a drunkard sherrif haunted by his past. Bullock just always struck me as much more two dimensional than the rest of the characters.

Yeah, he overshadows most of the other characters, although the show is not based on Al. Note that the show is called "Deadwood" not "The Gem".

Nobody thought the profanity was taken to a ridiculous level on this show? It kinda takes me out of it. People cussed back then, but I'm fairly certain cocksucker wasn't even used until closer to the turn of the century, going into 1900.
