The guy with no stars plays in a Florida where it's pretty common for kids to go without being evaluated simply based on numbers. Sounds like most believe he plays against good competition and the coaches must have been pretty high on him to take him with 2 other RBs we were going after. Also read that he's being labeled an "ATH" by the coaches and that we'll still try to take another RB if one of our top 2 options commits. Sounds like he might be a RB, WR, or CB depending on how he looks when he gets to campus.

seems like they've been saying all along that this will be a smaller class, so with that being our 15th commit, i can't imagine we'll take many more guys. which could be a good thing...go ahead and get this class wrapped up, focus on continuing to keep these guys committed...and turn focus to 2018 recruits.

decent offer list from Eric Collins....Louisville, Iowa, Maryland, South Carolina are the bigger names.

judging from rivals, this may have been state's coaching staff backing off him a bit. but that'd be speculation and maybe trying to make it sound like we didn't get stiffed by this recruit.

also, Aaron Sterling - 4* DE from GA - decommitted from Bama and was visiting state yesterday

we have depth there, i think. took several in this previous class. some are redshirting. also had Alston move there and he is redshirting. now, the quality of that depth may be an issue.

^maybe - even when he committed originally schools like Clemson were backing off of him after he had a bad injury last year. so maybe those schools are interested again. who knows. it could definitely be an issue where he just thinks we're garbage and doesn't wanna come here...but i'm not sure that we know that 100% either. will be interesting to see where he goes.

^^if quality is an issue, then it makes sense they wouldnt want someone non-quality

i dont get why there is so much doubt when everyone that would know is saying that performance didnt live up to what they thought. The story on this guy since before he committed has been that teams backed off of him after his injury.

If he ends up going to Clemson or something, fine. But w/out any other information I tend to believe those that actually talk to staff, players, other programs, etc.

also clemson has 4* top 100 and top 200 cb's committed, not sure they are dying to sign a 3*

Recruits see the writing on the wall. Starting over again. NC State's specialty. Hopefully we hire a coach with ties to the South or Texas, i.e. somewhere with talent. TOB and DD both were awful fits recruiting wise.

Yeah think most assume Moore to Tennessee but we were top 3 before he committed so I imagine we're still top 2-3 at this point.

Chris Dunn is a 2018 from North Davidson High and is possibly going to be the top kicker in the class.

I think the issue is we have Bambard, Maples, and Haskins all available now to kick.
