that is false, and you know it. If you don't know it, then you are just ignorant.Either way, you are trolling, in the lounge. Stop.

what part is false? I want to learn
1/22/2013 9:18:44 PM
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/337958/gun-sales-and-background-checks-obamas-bogus-40-percent-stat-john-fund#That should have the info on the 40% being false
1/22/2013 9:56:02 PM
replace 40 percent with 15 percent if you wantyou're still supplying criminals with guns
1/22/2013 10:03:01 PM
^ of course that 15% is all of us selling to unlicensed people. Surely the large majority of that 15% weren't sold to people that have ppp or ccw permits and have already had a background check. Go troll elsewhere.
1/22/2013 10:08:11 PM
And bars supply people with alcohol that causes drunk driving deaths, should we outlaw bars or alcohol?
1/22/2013 10:12:18 PM
^ shit, think about Lowes. They're supplying criminals with the tools they need to break into homes and cars! We should ban all hardware stores!
1/22/2013 10:19:01 PM
maybe because alcohol and crowbars aren't nearly as effective murder weapons as gunsall gun sales should require background checksclose the loophole[Edited on January 22, 2013 at 11:27 PM. Reason : r]
1/22/2013 11:26:04 PM
Did you even read what he wrote?
1/22/2013 11:33:10 PM
I read two ridiculous off topic posts - one about alcohol and one about Lowes[Edited on January 22, 2013 at 11:37 PM. Reason : this thread is about murder weapons]
1/22/2013 11:37:01 PM
I wouldn't say off-topic...maybe reductio ad absurdum, but regardless, you responded to something he didn't say, and not his point.
1/22/2013 11:42:24 PM
even though its off topic, lets look at the numbers:In 2010, 10,228 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes, accounting for nearly one-third (31%) of all traffic-related deaths in the United StatesEvery day, almost 30 people in the United States die in motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver. This amounts to one death every 48 minutes.1 The annual cost of alcohol-related crashes totals more than $51 billionIn 2010, firearm homicides number of deaths: 11,078All of the info is provided by the CDChttp://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/homicide.htmhttp://www.cdc.gov/motorvehiclesafety/impaired_driving/impaired-drv_factsheet.html[Edited on January 23, 2013 at 12:09 AM. And that's just vehicular altercation fatalities. That doesn't include those who abuse it, die from alcohol poisoning or liver failure from long term heavy consumption...Regardless... without regulation of driving privileges and aggressive enforcement of drunk driving laws, can you imagine how many more would die? I'm glad we as a society have decided those things are important. I look forward to the day we place the same importance on reducing gun violence.[Edited on January 23, 2013 at 9:19 AM. Reason : gun nuts love to change the subject]

Wake County Ordinance:§ 130.03 WITHIN 100 YARDS OF A PUBLIC BUILDING. It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge any firearm within 100 yards of any building reasonably likely to be occupied, including, but not limited to, any school, church, warehouse or any playground or park.(1984 Code, § 2-9-18) (Ord. passed 5-4-1981; Ord. passed 6-4-2001) Penalty, see § 10.99per http://www.amlegal.com/library/nc/wakecounty.shtmlSomeone needs to be responsible for discharging that firearm and injuring those people, and I'm not asking for a scapegoat. Negligence should be reprimanded and if it was the officer, (s)he should (wo)man up and take responsibility for their negligence. There is a severe lack of accountability in this society and it pisses me off.[Edited on January 23, 2013 at 5:37 PM. Reason : .]

I couldn't imagine a judge could hand down a punishment more sever than what the gun owner is probably receiving after his name was printed in every state new publication and several national news sites. If he wasn't already a doomsday prepper who lives in a shack in the wilderness or some crazy underground bunker, he probably wishes he was now.
1/23/2013 5:44:34 PM
^^^^ Yeah, he should be held accountable.I expect that he will be civilly, though.

1/24/2013 8:50:10 AM
Ive got the chance to buy a mint condition DS Arms FAL rifle with ten mags for $1200. Should I get it or buy an AR instead?
1/27/2013 12:47:40 AM
Depends if you want a FAL or not. I'm more of an AR fan so I would wait for the madness to end and would build/buy an AR.
1/27/2013 10:14:29 AM
^yea, I'm an AR fan too and I would really like to have one. However, I could hunt with the FAL and it's .308 rounds. I think I could also turn around and sell it for profit on armslist and use that cash to buy and AR. Decisions decisions.....
1/27/2013 11:41:57 AM
tarpon if you pass can you hook me up? i already have my Ar supply built up as well as a .308 ammo stash.
1/27/2013 1:31:53 PM
I just told the guy I will buy it. We're arranging payment now. Wanna sell off any of that .308?
1/27/2013 1:43:17 PM
lol... nope.... i'll find another one.. (i have 3 .308s already so the ammo has a place to go... just none of them are semi-autos... wish i had your luck )
1/27/2013 6:09:11 PM

walmart has a 3 pack limit.was able to pick up 3 100packs of federal .223 for $111 (total) if there wasnt a limit i would have had 4 100 packs, and a case (minus 2) of federal AR .223.but im kind of glad there is a limit because the guy in front of me would have bought all the .223. he wasnt patient and jumped on the federal 20round packs. and i asked what the other box of federal was and she opened it and it was the 100round packs.[Edited on January 27, 2013 at 7:05 PM. Damn you nrr I thought I was done with rifles for a bit... Now I really want that in 30-06.I have plenty of money to spend on car shit right nowWhat do you mean? They give you a free membership or something ? I'm about to have to renew mine.[Edited on January 28, 2013 at 11:57 AM. Reason : .]
1/28/2013 11:56:36 AM
one of the requirements to purchase from CMP is that you be a member of an affiliated club. ENC Firing Range is an affiliated club. i don't have a membership there, so i just joined the Garand Collectors Association by mail. the cool thing about the GCA is they automatically send CMP an updated list of their membership weekly, so you don't have to prove membership, just tell them you're a GCA member and they'll check the list for your name.another requirement is "proof of firearms activity". an NC CHP fulfills this requirement because it includes live-fire. if you don't have a CHP, they have a form you can print out and take to the range. you get a range officer to watch you shoot and he'll sign it verifying that you actually shoot. it's kinda goofy.
1/28/2013 1:15:35 PM
Do want ! But don't need with m76 on the way.
1/28/2013 2:40:12 PM
if i only bought what i needed i'd only have 3 or 4 guns
1/28/2013 3:00:22 PM
I attended the Appleseed event and passed as a Rifleman. They gave me a badge. I guess that badge is my ticket into CMP? haha. I think the program is cool, the rifles are cool, etc., I just don't have the blow money on a garand
