I like the second one... but I'm sorry you have to wear burnt orange :\
1/10/2011 1:24:22 PM
if you're part of the wedding party, don't pick a dress with white trim, especially if the bride's dress is white.
1/10/2011 1:30:34 PM
1/10/2011 1:31:03 PM
for trims: i like tangelo, persimmon, cobalt and celandon

MY MINNETONKAS CAMEi love them i love them i love them!!!obviously not wearing them in the winter weatherbut i can't wait to wear them out. i got brown and they fit perfect and are soooo comfy. went with the 3 layer fringe <3happiness. but i need good suede shoe protectant...does anyone have any that they like/use? these suckers were almost $90 so, yea, i'm spraying some shit on them in an attempt to protect them from moisture.
1/10/2011 8:50:28 PM
I am so happy for you!! I hope my minnetonkas never fall apart. They are about the most comfortable flat shoes I have ever owned.
1/10/2011 9:09:51 PM
how much do those Alfred Angelo dresses run? I always try to find a price but never can.
1/10/2011 9:14:35 PM
The ones that I chose are less than $175 but I don't know the exact price.

Gosh, I just love the way that first one looks with the white. I am sadface that one might be a problem because of the white. I know for sure I will not steal the show with my friend Dani because she will look amazing, I just don't want to be disrespectful of her and her day.I do want a brighter sash color if I do choose that second dress just to spring it up a bit. I LOVE burnt orange. It is one of my favorite colors.

^i saw your boots via fb AWESOMMEEEE
1/10/2011 9:36:52 PM
I'm a HUGE fan of the burnt orange. This is my burnt orange handbag:I'm trying to think of what color sash would be appropriate to accompany your dress though... hmmChocolate brown would probably look best but it would make it look fall-themed ]
1/10/2011 9:40:11 PM
punchmonk, I like the first one. the second one looks very bridesmade-ey
1/10/2011 9:45:05 PM
^^ I have a vintage burnt orange Prada work bag that I love. Very fun way to dress up a basic outfit or add some pop.
1/10/2011 9:49:28 PM
omg trish. gimme gimme.
1/10/2011 9:51:56 PM
^^I agree! I'm sure your bag is gorgeous. It's such a great color and you're right, it spices up anything!^ Don't forget to text!

1/11/2011 12:01:53 AM
Don't get me wrong, I agree that certain things in that color can spice things up... I just think it's cruel for a bride to assign that color to all bridesmaids because not everyone can pull it off. Hopefully she considered everyone's skin tone
1/11/2011 12:04:48 AM
orange is SO not my color. thats for sure.
1/11/2011 12:06:23 AM
rusty orange (which I guess is the color that has been mentioned by the looks of it) is one of my favorite colors. . . I'm pale with dark hair so it might not look great on me but oh well
1/11/2011 12:09:05 AM
hay guise, what's white and black and rusty orange all over...lol
1/11/2011 12:14:29 AM
hahahah shut it
1/11/2011 12:15:24 AM
Punchmonk- do you know the flowers she is going to use- or the other accent color shes doing in the wedding? Maybe that would help with a sash color. Not knowing how correct the colors on my computer screen are, I like the pistachio or glass green with it cause it seems to brighten the dress up some for spring.

Ladies, I am not sure if this has been posted in this thread or not, but there is currently a JCrew Warehouse sale in Chapel Hill (at University Mall). I went over the weekend, and got 2 pairs of shoes, 3 cashmere sweaters, 3 dressy tops, and 2 dresses. It's going on through the 23rd, and they keep refilling their selectionI got a pair of $200 leather "driving" flats for $30. A pair of jeweled heels, $30... All shoes are $30, All cashmere is $40, regular tops are $10, sweaters $20, dresses $20 (and that includes the fancy dresses and the casual dresses), swimsuits $4, accessories $8. They have crewcuts and men too, just not as much left there. I can't remember the pricing on jackets and blazers, but it was still great. If you go at a popular time, be prepared to wait in line, but it's a fast moving line!Through January 23rd, 10am-8pm.[Edited on January 11, 2011 at 9:33 PM. Reason : times]

amna, i also like the first one better, but i didn't know the whole NO WHITE rule. i should probably learn some more wedding etiquette since it seems everyone is getting married now.
1/11/2011 9:53:16 PM
I want this outfit
1/11/2011 9:58:01 PM
Late to the party, but I like the first one
1/11/2011 9:59:03 PM
^^^yeah, meg, I just talked to my bff and she is not wanting me to wear white just for the fact that she might not wear a white dress. It might be ivory, champagne, antique white, etc. and she does not want it to clash. I think I like that one better too but it is def out of the question now.[Edited on January 11, 2011 at 10:01 PM. ^^^ Sam, I adore that purple skirt! Gorge!Okay, so I have a first date tomorrow night. It's going to be 32 degrees tomorrow night in Orlando! Ick! What are some sexy clothing options when it's 32 degrees?
1/11/2011 10:28:59 PM
A parka. Definitely jeans. Boots tucked in (if doing skinny jeans). A warm top and heavy cardigan.
1/11/2011 10:31:14 PM
Or a fun dress, tights, and cute shoes
1/11/2011 10:36:51 PM
A fitted sweater dress with tights and cute shoes/boots! At least, that's the only "cute" outfit I ever wear
1/11/2011 10:40:55 PM
ugh ideeli.com is my new addiction. i feel like i like their sales more than ruelala and hautelook (though they are all my addiction). wish i had somewhere to wear these dresses so that i could purchase one anyways...if you aren't already on ideeli...http://www.ideeli.com/invite/katcadwalladeri joined recently because they were having a lila p sale.EDIT! diff brand...the dresses are KILLING me today. if i had a big girl job with big girl functions or holiday parties i'd be all over these:[Edited on January 12, 2011 at 1:04 PM. HALP!ok i need fashion help. i'm pretty much a disaster.i have this dress in black:and i need shoes to go with it. i'm short and the dress is kinda long on me so flats aren't an option. anywho, i'm really poor so i need to keep it cheap, like no more than $40 if possible. so that narrows things down. i like plain stuff and i am not very adventurous. any suggestions or examples?
1/12/2011 9:39:10 PM
go to DSW they have awesome options. i would go with silvery or gold - depending on what your jewelry choice is
1/12/2011 9:41:56 PM
Or go with something fun and bright - pink or cobalt blue or even a jewel purple
1/12/2011 9:44:45 PM
i don't really wear jewelry. maybe earrings but hardly everand thanks for the suggestions BUT i have no idea what to even look for? is there a certain style or height or... anything i should be considering? or anything i should stay away from?[Edited on January 12, 2011 at 9:50 PM. Reason : ]
1/12/2011 9:48:52 PM
i agree w/ the dsw suggestion. from looking at their clearance page for 5 seconds there are plenty of options...http://www.dsw.com/shoe/rampage+nicki+zebra+pump?prodId=dsw12prod2080014&category=cat20006http://www.dsw.com/shoe/rampage+nicki+patent+pump?prodId=dsw12prod2080012&category=cat20006http://www.dsw.com/shoe/tahari+dara+pump?prodId=205696&category=cat20006

i like the zebra idea. something funky and fun would be awesome. if you're not super comfortable with walking in heels, the height of the zebra shoe i think would work well.
1/12/2011 9:52:04 PM
and dsw has TONS of stuff. those were seriously just on the website in the <$40 range. the store has a shitload of stuff.i like the colored shoe idea...maybe a red or purple or something. i also like the gold idea. gold or nude is always classic.its a black dress so its really up to YOU! you can do almost anything. i think you could do a peep toe too to sexyyyy it up a little, if you wanted[Edited on January 12, 2011 at 9:54 PM. 1/12/2011 9:54:13 PM
i like the last one you posted kat, but im not sure about the color. along those same lines, are there any color shoes that go particularly well with black dresses, and any that are absolutely horrible? i know these might seem kind of silly questions. i really don't know though.
1/12/2011 9:54:23 PM
don't go with black shoes or navy shoes. i think bright colors would be awesome or brown either [Edited on January 12, 2011 at 9:55 PM. Reason : .]
