Don't get me wrong, I love a good red nail polish... but I just think that looks toooooo... I don't know, brown? If it was more of a cherry color I'd be all about it. Or a dark purple.

Whoa, Zoya has a Mischa polish.Close enough Zoya Nail Polish in Mischa can be best described as: Medium muted neutral pink with hints of mauve and dark peach, fine golden frost and a pinch of silver microglitter. A sheer peachy nude for a look with a sprinkle of magical color. ]

Their Lauren color blows monkey chunks. I won't waste my time painting my nails the same color they already are. Kelly and Casey are my favs of the colors posted.

Zoya Nail Polish in Liz can be best described as: Muted red-toned dark mauve with a pigmented creme finish. Bold and yet soft at the same time for a strong natural color. I <3 this color, and would actually wear it if my nails weren't so terrible. It's taken years to work them back to health, and they still suck compared to most people's nails

Ok...I just want to rave about my new face lotion I have been using for about 3 weeks now. I was getting so frustrated with my combination skin being so over dry (a common occurrence in the winter for me). So, I have tried many lotions in the past and have failed miserably with being able to maintain balance between moisturizing my skin and not harming my oversensitive skin. This stuff is amazing and it has SPF in it so I am overly and pleasantly surprised. I have periodically used Eucerin lotion for when I would have trouble with eczema during the winter time but I had no idea this stuff existed and how amazing it truly is.Just wanting to share my happiness with you ladies (and various gentlemen )[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 12:39 AM. My skin has been so itchy lately. I think the lotion I used from Body Shop caused an allergic reaction Either that or my skin is just really, really dry I brought two cookbooks into work today because I need to make a shopping list and my one coworker made a huge fuss over the fact I like to cook. It was kind of weird

Do y'all think this color would be bad for my skin tone? Aka... pasty?I'm thinking of ordering it for our engagement pictures (and because I just really love it)
1/6/2011 11:31:22 AM
NOOOOOOOi love reds and paleness.i love any bold colors and paleness
1/6/2011 11:32:16 AM
No red dresses look good on just about everyone. I think it looks especially flattering on pale skin. Besides that dress looks hot anyways
1/6/2011 11:33:15 AM
i can TOTALLY see you in that dress Sam
1/6/2011 11:34:58 AM

^GG! It'll look great. As for me, I've just discovered the curling-your-hair-with-a-straightening-iron thing.I'm late I know. But I love it!! I just got my hair cut and had layers put in and such so the curls have this cascading effect.
1/6/2011 11:57:03 AM
i can't ever figure out how to to that
1/6/2011 12:39:38 PM
This is how I learned this morning:
1/6/2011 12:40:44 PM
omg I DO THATmy hair just refuses to curl maybe i'll just get hot rollers
1/6/2011 12:45:30 PM
^try spreading some heavy duty gel on the piece before curling.thats what i do
1/6/2011 12:47:46 PM
ahaha I have to use rediculous amounts of hairspray before I even start. My hair hates being told what to do But I use hot rollers and they're much easier and I get better curls than when I used a curling iron.
1/6/2011 12:55:54 PM
also, try starting the curl about 1/3 or 1/2 way down the length of your hair. It will give you a better result
1/6/2011 12:56:57 PM
I LOVE hot rollers, but my hair actually behaves very well to heat which means when I first take them out I like a little old lady that just got my perm Although they losen up and look sexy around lunch time.
1/6/2011 12:57:26 PM
hairspray does nothing for me beforehand.i have to use gel before when curling and then hairspray it after.the result:(although that is with a curling iron)otherwise my hair falls flat in about 30 minutes or so. but its just me [Edited on January 6, 2011 at 1:10 PM. Reason : slightly better image]
1/6/2011 1:06:20 PM
i cannot curl my hair. well i suppose i COULD but i am too lazy to curl it with an iron and i haven't tried hot rollers in YEARS. i need product and dirty hair also to make the curls stay since i have fine hair. i usually just go the scrunch route when i'm looking for texture. i should probably try a curling iron sometime but...i don't know howwww. any good curling iron recommendations? anyway what i really came to chat about was FRINGE ADVICE!!!! i'm so torn. i'm going to take the plunge and get some minnetonka fringe boots that i've been wanting for like at least 5 years...as study motivation so i'll have something cute to wear after i'm finally done studying. anyway, i can't decide between the 3 layer and the 5 layer. at first i was 100% sold on the 3 layer, but after googling images of them on people, i don't know if they are a weird height or not cause they are calf height (sorry for the celeb pics...i had minnetonkas before they blew up in the celeb world so...just sayin i'm not riding the fad pony or anything):but then on this girl, they don't look that weird:and i was all..."oh no not the 5 layer that is TOO HEAVY on the fringe"like so:but then i found these pics and was all "oh shit maybe the 5 layer is what i want"and i am short/small so i feel like the 5 layer could be really overwhelming on me. BUT i don't want to look stubby a la lauren conrad because they cut off at calf height in the 3 layer. i'm getting brown btw. i guess i could just say "fuck it" and get these instead, but i am only like 65% in love with them, versus 100% on the other:yea. confusing times over here. i should probably stop distracting myself with fringe now.
1/6/2011 1:26:11 PM
i say go with 3.and also with curlign irons i am in love with:
1/6/2011 1:29:27 PM
can you go try them on somewhere? And I would just go with whatever past boot length you are comfortable with. I think my ass and legs are too fat to pull off boots this winter.
1/6/2011 1:33:17 PM
pshhh you do not look like you have fat legs!!! and what does ass have to do with boots haha!! fat asses are a good thing i thought?and yea, i was thinking maybe nordstrom or somewhere like that carries them?? i guess i can always order the 3 too and if they are strange, send them back.[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 1:35 PM. Reason : .]
1/6/2011 1:35:10 PM
fat asses are only acceptable on black women. White women are supposed to be a size 0 and do yoga 24/7. Duhh!!!
1/6/2011 1:42:29 PM
point out to me who made that rule and i'll go spit in their face. boots are a necessity some places, not a fashion statement. who gets to decide which asses are too big to wear nothing but shitty clothes? nobody.
1/6/2011 1:58:45 PM
yeah...but fringed Minnentonka's aren't exactly a necessity unless you're name is something like Chief Spotted Hawk and you live in a tee pee...and most boots worn right now aren't a necessity unless you live in an igloo...
1/6/2011 2:02:48 PM
wearing boots shorter than the snow on the ground sucks ass if you have to walk in it. no snow, no need for boots
1/6/2011 2:05:32 PM
yea...after owning other suede boots, their only function really is being cute. minus my fuggs, which actually do keep my feet really warm.just let me jive with my native american side[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 2:07 PM. Reason : .]
1/6/2011 2:06:48 PM
if I lived in Canada, I'd wear boots all the time and wouldn't give a shit. But in North Carolina, I only wear them to be cute.
1/6/2011 2:08:52 PM
oh...i would buy every color in every length if i had the money...i love them...i always have
1/6/2011 2:09:32 PM
haha same! that is why i'm going to purchase ONE pair. aka all i can afford. well "afford"hehe
1/6/2011 2:12:37 PM
whatever. quality leather if hot even if you are otherwise unattractive.
1/6/2011 2:13:35 PM
Not a huge change i guess but i am going straight in 2 weeks Its been a few years when i wore it as a soph in college. Looking forward to it but after 2 mo it will prob go back the other way.
1/6/2011 2:15:51 PM
^^ Haha, this is why I am so sad it's near impossible to find quality leather boots. I need something to make up for me not giving a shit otherwise.
1/6/2011 2:38:53 PM
look online, there's plenty to be had if you've got cash to burn
