Got the hoodie and a couple tees. Awesome

I got the two national championship tees and a crewneck

Can Hayes just go ahead and transfer now? Just possession after possession of him not passing and taking a terrible shot
2/12/2022 4:23:15 PM
Good thing that missed 10 second call that led to 2 points didn't affect the outcome of this game.
2/12/2022 5:12:56 PM
I was gonna say I might check back in at acc tourney time but I think I'm out for the season
2/12/2022 5:41:19 PM
Didn’t watch the game. As bad as this season is, we’ll always have that 4OT win over shitty Nebraska. Can’t take that away.
2/12/2022 6:12:06 PM
Can a Keatts defender explain the Hayes/pass thing to me. I don’t think Pass is a world beater or anything but to continually get buried on the bench while the guy you “share” minutes with shits up the court on a nightly basis has got to be demoralizing. I just don’t get it. Why not get him experience at this point in the season? To be fair, Hayes stats were probably his season high shooting percentage tonight but to see Pass get a dnp is disappointing.
2/12/2022 7:12:16 PM
Pass was sick. I’m all for him getting more minutes though
2/12/2022 7:38:10 PM
Ah. Fair enough. Didn’t watch the game and must have missed it on Twitter.
2/12/2022 7:40:21 PM
at least the Hornets are...down by 31 at the half
2/12/2022 8:15:32 PM
Pass “sick” aka transferring.
2/12/2022 8:49:42 PM
Yeah don't think pass even made the trip. He was tweeting during the game. Also Hayes got benched for the rest of the game after what seemed like 5 possessions in a row where he got the ball and passed to no one only to take a terrible shot early in the clock. It was a huge contributing factor to Pitt's run early in the 2nd.
2/12/2022 8:51:00 PM
2/12/2022 10:45:37 PM
He was sick….…sick of not getting more playing time
2/13/2022 10:19:07 AM
https://twitter.com/PassBreon/status/1491618291764412417Definitely the tweet of someone who is ready to transfer. Also, he retweeted a tweet about Smith having a monster freshman year right before this. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?]
2/13/2022 1:08:16 PM
The real question is Keatts Transferring.
2/14/2022 10:38:25 AM
FWIW, supposedly it was mentioned during the broadcast that Manny is planning on returning.(I actually watched most of this game, tbut I guess I missed that part)
2/14/2022 5:28:57 PM
Pretty good first half.
2/15/2022 9:13:15 PM
Cam Hayes is good, I've always said
2/15/2022 9:45:32 PM
Sucks that Smith had foul trouble, he could have flirted with 40. His 4th foul was total crap.
2/15/2022 11:20:37 PM
I think Terq may need an appreciation thread. He leads the ACC in 3-pointers made, he'll probably break the NC State Freshman 3-pointer record next game... and he can really dunk.
2/16/2022 9:11:38 AM
Yep, it’s Baby T!

Could be the coach...but given that it's been 5 seasons without being able to reliably get the ball inside to bigs and suddenly Smith discovered how to get the ball on the pick and roll to the worst bigs we have had since Keatts got here, it's likely that Smith figured something out. If it's true that Smith is figuring out how to get teams to respect the pick and roll, that could be the key to getting Keatts offense to hum. We haven't had a ball handler who could do that at all since Markell and with Baby T being a better scoring threat, that's pretty exciting. Then again, could just be a terrible GT team.

Considering Gtech is as thin as NCSU when it comes to talented big men, it's likely just Gtech. Also, find it interesting that people start bitching about running zones and pick and roll instead of AAU Iso and finally Keatts (or smith) incorporates it.Again in the Gtech game, lots of boneheaded shots /airballs and fouls from JH.Let's stay within reason here though, it's likely just an anomaly given how horrific Gtech is. It's not like Baby T had double digit assists on the P&R. It's his shooting that makes it work.Again in the Gtech game, lots of boneheaded shots /airballs and fouls from JH. Remember the last time we had a coach with an effective offensive system?Fans ran him out of town on a rail because we didn't dunk enough and he didn't yell and tell jokes enough.
2/17/2022 12:08:18 PM
I remember when we won a National Championship (vaguely)

We are not going to win a championship in the future

I think the way that 2006 season ended ultimately did Herb in. Plateauing at a S16 definitely played a role. I may be misremembering a lot. Obviously fans were frustrated with Herb and the lone S16 appearance in a decade was a real sticking point. But overall, it did seem like with recruiting we were kinda poised to maintain a really strong baseline at a minimum with a rising ceiling (in that, as you recruit better your ceiling gets higher). That final Herb season was coming off the S16 appearance and instead of building on it, the bottom kinda fell out at the end of the year. But after starting 21-5…we lost 3 straight to close the regular season. Then lost in our first game of ACCT to a bad Wake team. And then smashed by Texas in R2 of NCAATs. Losing 5 of 6 to close the season felt like the straw that broke the camels back. To some, they were already over Herb and there was no winning a portion of the fan base back over. But after that end to the season, there was just no coming back. Maybe revisionist history on my part. But I always thought fans were somewhat willing to overlook the lack of postseason success had that season continued on its trajectory. We were maybe looking like a 23-6 type regular season record…probably a top 5 seed in NCAAT, maybe better if we don’t lose 2 straight to garbage Wake to close that season. Instead the wheels kinda fell off at the end.

There was a loud contingent of fans that were regularly booing him at home games from my freshman year (03) until he left. Some of those insane crazy people were incredibly mean and rude to this family as well.In conclusion, we pretty much deserve the absolute shit sandwich that nc state basketball has become.

^^ yes there was a significant portion of the fan base that was never gonna be won back over by him. I just think the ending to that final season made it completely untenable. ^ there were some painful and mind numbing droughts, I especially remember the two you mentioned. But generally his offenses would grade at being pretty efficient [Edited on February 18, 2022 at 11:53 AM. Reason : A]

I enjoyed the Herb era, but the players were ecstatic when he left
2/18/2022 12:39:03 PM
Oh shit, are you Courtney Fells?
2/18/2022 2:56:16 PM
I’m not, but I was with a bunch of players that night, and it was one of the greatest party nights of my life

I would like to hear that storyI have a Staats story. One summer we were at the beach (morehead I think) and a girl in our group brought a guy home from the bar. The next morning Staats picked him up. I think this was maybe a year or two after his playing career at State ended. Can’t remember exactly [Edited on February 20, 2022 at 12:26 PM. Reason : A]

For those who didn't see the whole thread from staats, the context on Twitter is basically a bunch of former players over the last 15-20 years upset that they have basically been shut out by Keatts and then subsequently talking about how former players helped them in their playing careers. Not sure how much I buy that inviting Cam Bennerman into the building would make a huge (or any) difference in how this team is performing, but it's definitely an interesting piece of the Keatts puzzle.

Where do you see that context
