I'm sold on Rashad Jennings. Picked his ass up and starting him in my flex position. McFadden didn't practice yesterday or today. Reece may cannibalize a TD from Jennings, but he's still a great start in this bye weekI've got just a few hours left to decide on WR. I want to start Robert Woods tonight, but I'm not 100% bought into his value[Edited on October 3, 2013 at 4:36 PM. Reason : ,]

Woods is a risky WR3 at best.
10/3/2013 4:40:14 PM
I proposed a trade to a dude in my league today:giving up Roddy White and Greg Olson in exchange for Matt Ryan and Alshon Jeffery. He also has Aaron Rodgers, and I don't think he has plans of ever starting Matt Ryan. His only TE is shitty Brandon Pettigrew. Seems like a trade he should accept, right??

Am I crazy to start Hoyer tonight instead of R. Wilson? ESPN standard scoring.

I don't like that trade.Ray sucksThe fact that the Patriots waived Zach Sudfeld today leads me to believe Gronk will be back this weekend or next weekend...and he'll play a pretty big role.Wilson will have a 20 point weekend the second you trade him
10/3/2013 8:29:50 PM
Just had a trade accepted where I give up Vincent Jackson and get Gio Bernard. Really need help at RB and I'm fairly deep at WR. Decided to give up Vincent Jackson rather than DeAndre Hopkins. 3rd WR either way on my team and I like Hopkins' upside better at this point in the season.
10/3/2013 8:50:38 PM
^^^^^^ hope you didn't start Hoyer
10/4/2013 12:08:51 AM
Yeah, sorry about the shit advice...I hope Hoyer comes back because Jordan Cameron didn't do shit with Weeden running the show...

Some idiot in my keeper league dropped Ray Rice in a waiver add. This morning waivers process for him and a first place team scoops him since he didnt claim a waiver during the waiver period. For some reason, Rice is not undroppable in ESPN leagues. Should the commish be able to do something about this?

10/4/2013 11:07:21 AM
Romo vs Denver I think.I got screwed by Hoyer, even though I still think it was the right decision.Any thoughts on the drop situation I posted above? What do you do when someone drops a great player or otherwise makes a terrible decision that could change the whole league?
10/4/2013 11:15:15 AM
I have always stated that its not the job of the commish or the league to legislate stupidity. You get into a REAL slippery slope there, dont do it. I have seen countless trades that people wanted stopped or reversed because "player X sucks, what a stupid trade" that in the end, ended up being either an equal trade or even on the entire opposite side of the scale. The Commish/league vote should only step in if there is obvious collusion, thats it.[Edited on October 4, 2013 at 11:26 AM. Reason : d]
10/4/2013 11:22:56 AM
I understand and agree about the commish interfering with trades, but what about dropping Ray Rice to the waivers?I don't think its collusion, but I also would bet $1000 that its not in the best interest of that team.I'm just mad because it's a keeper league and its the first year for this guy. He basically gifted a first rounder to someone else, which upsets the power in the league.
10/4/2013 12:05:39 PM
If your league is supposed to be competitive, then Rice should be put back on that team & that guy should be booted
10/4/2013 12:09:44 PM
Generally I agree with what others have said. The commish should pretty much stay out of transactions unless it's blatant collusion or something really fishy going on. And dropping Rice in a keeper league is pretty fishy.
10/4/2013 12:40:05 PM
I agree, and I also agree that a policy of non-intervention is best unless absolutely unavoidable. With that said, need some insight on this situation:Our commish was involved in this trade:He got Calvin Johnson and Ahmad Bradshaw (whom he immediately dropped) for Reggie Wayne and Knowshon Moreno. The other guy was desperate for a running back and thought Knowshon was his answer. I definitely think he overpaid, but I don't think it was collusion. Another guy in the league started a thread whining about how lopsided the trade was and lobbying for a veto. (We're in a league where people can vote to veto trades, which I don't like.)Anyway, fast forward to today, and the guy who made the complaint pushes through this trade with the last-place team:He gets Jamaal Charles and Gronk and gives up Le'Veon Bell, Greg Jennings and Charles Clay. A) This is certainly a response to the first trade, right? and, B) Is it worthy of a veto (either independently or taking the history into account)? I'm leaning toward yes to both, but like I said in the first paragraph of the longest post in the fantasy football thread ever, I don't like intervening unless it's a complete BS move on someone's part.
10/4/2013 12:43:46 PM
^the 2nd trade is very sketch in my opinion. The first trade on the other hand, while I wouldn't have made that trade, owners have every right to try to improve their team how they see fit.Is Daryl Richardson droppable for LeGarrette Blound (with Ridley maybe not playing this week)?
10/4/2013 12:56:41 PM
10/4/2013 12:56:53 PM
Yeah, fishy was the wrong word. It's stupid. And almost makes me think the guy doesn't really understand the idea of keepers. I'm not so sure the commish can really do anything about it. I mean, it is one thing to veto a trade when there's suspected collusion. But if an owner drops somebody on their own, it's kind of hard to prove there was any tom foolery going on...simply stupidity on the owners part.
10/4/2013 1:44:59 PM
and that motherfucker said "tom foolery"

Someone in 12 team league got frustrated with Dwayne Bowe and dropped him. I just need reassurance that I should not burn my #1 waiver spot. Though it seems like every year I hold on to it for the playoffs and never end up utilizing it.[Edited on October 4, 2013 at 5:36 PM. 10/4/2013 5:36:17 PM
If you think Bowe is going to get better, use it. I, too have held on to my waiver wire only to find there was never anyone worth using it for later. This year, I used my #1 waiver priority to pick up David Wilson after someone cut him...I think it is going to pay off soon.
10/4/2013 11:20:23 PM
Guy offered me Moreno, Witten, and VJax and wants McCoy, Deangelo, and Josh Gordon. ...I laughed
10/5/2013 12:15:46 AM
R Wilson or J Cutler?Wilson hasn't put up many points but Cutlet has turned it over a lot. Also, I have Matt Forte as well if that makes a difference.
10/5/2013 9:28:18 AM
the Bears defense is giving up a LOT of points this year. if the Saints get an early lead, Cutler will be forced to pass a lot. could wind up with a ton of yards and get a few garbage TDs lateand it's going to rain and the last rain game Jay played in (Vikings) he threw for almost 300 yards and 3 TDs
10/5/2013 11:22:34 AM
That sounds like a plan to me. Would love for him to double me up with some big plays to forte.
10/5/2013 12:55:41 PM

Eliminate Blount in the first one, and you've got a safe play in Powell and a high ceiling in Moore. Pryor is back, so I might lean towards Moore, depending on your other starters. With McFadden and Reece likely out today, I would go with Jennings in your second one.Anybody have any secret insight as to whether Julio will play Monday night? I'm considering picking up Harry Douglas as my security blanket. My season has gone down the toliet in a hurry this year.[Edited on October 6, 2013 at 11:40 AM. Reason : .]
