I caved in and gave the site a shot. Results were quick, ended up seeing a girl after a week or two of talking online. At first, she seemed great. After a while, got super clingy. She pushed me over the edge one night and I said I was done. She proceeded to have a panic attack and hid my shit from me as I tried to leave. For the next two weeks she acted as though I hadn't broken up with her. Even though I moved 3 hours away, she still wanted to give it a try. I doubt I'll be giving that another try, although the part about talking to people was fun.

I do wonder if that sort of person kills online dating. People talking about it becoming normal, but normal people probably aren't prepared to deal with the douchebaggery on the internet. Every female seems to have a story, and the fact that they're so quick to tell it to me indicates that they're likely using it as a rationale to justify de-legitimizing it in their mind.

Of course I had to say something. She called me last night. It was awkward as hell. We hadn't spoken for over a month, and suddenly she wanted me to abandon what I have to do for school to drive 3 hours to see her...the next day (today). To be spontaneous or something, and she needs me back in her life.
