This may be [old] but espn.com is close to useless for sports news that isn't a big story. Like I saw on Twitter that the Houston Rockets had signed a couple free agents, I go to the Rockets team page and their is absolutely nothing about anything in the last month other than stories about Harden and Westbrook. The "transactions" tab doesn't even have the Westbrook trade.
7/25/2019 12:17:49 PM
yeah the only time i ever go to espn dot com is to check a team's schedule or something like that. it's fairly useless to me.
7/25/2019 12:32:09 PM
ESPN (not just the website) has been hot garbage for a long time now. Once they got in bed with the NFL along with deciding they wanted to run college football they lost all journalistic integrity.
7/25/2019 12:50:04 PM
their saturation of NFL coverage/shows isn’t nearly as bad as it was a few years ago when literally every show from 1-5 was an NFL show. that was the low point.
7/25/2019 1:52:16 PM
I miss when they would show wacky shit on ESPN2 during the day like "Hunting Dog Championship" or "Caber Tossing."And oh man, the amount of hours entranced with Jeanette "Black Widow" Lee smoking fools in pool.
7/25/2019 1:56:35 PM
I was very attracted to the Black Widow
7/25/2019 1:57:29 PM
I only ever watch games on espn. And that’s not because I’m a PackPride poster bitching about their “liberal agenda”. The way most of us consume sports has changed a lot lately. Podcasts, twitter, message boards...they all keep me up to date on the info and highlights I care about. I can see a highlight clip instantly on twitter instead of waiting till SportsCenter to see the highlights. Whatever they’re debating on First Take has probably already been discussed on twitter. i also don’t do as much mindless tv viewing as i did in college. If my tv is on, I’m actively watching something as opposed to just having SportsCenter on in the background for hours. But as long as espn is airing big time events live, it won’t be going anywhere.
7/25/2019 2:03:45 PM
Every single time I go to the gym locker room in the middle of the day to workout during the week there is a talking head/panel show on ESPN2 (locker room always on that channel) and they are GUARANTEED to mention one of two things in the <10 min I'm in there:1) Lebron James2) The NFLLebron I know will go away in a couple of years so whatever. They only mention him 10-20% of the time now. But the NFL shit is hilarious because they've managed to find shit to talk about 365 days of the year. Like mid-June, well past the draft, well before preseason they're in there debating franchise tags and guys opting to sit. I guess this is what people want to hear but it's like.. c'mon. Anything else, really.
7/25/2019 2:14:34 PM
Yea i mean I'm not even that worried about the TV stuff, or even the "integrity"...well I mean i guess I am, but my post was looking for a bare minimum. If your website is supposed to be about sports information and news, provide that sports info and news.
7/25/2019 2:17:04 PM
They aren't about news and haven't been in a long time.
7/25/2019 4:02:11 PM
https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/27207990/position-u-which-schools-produce-most-talent-positionI mean really on the QBs, really? Fuck you

On twitter David Hale defended it by saying Wilson counted for Wisconsin. And we got dinged for lack of individual awards/accolades. Their system seemed deeply flawed.
7/27/2019 9:17:41 PM
Harvesting NC State hate-clicks on Russel Wilson articles. A reliable industry.
7/29/2019 9:27:27 AM
just laid off Kenny Mayne
5/10/2021 4:10:03 PM
They've been dead to me since they killed off Mayne Street.

Friendly reminder that ESPN's QBR is a terrible stat:Sam Howell: 14/26 for 147 yd, 1 TD, 1 INT 77.6 QBRDevin Leary : 19/30 for 247 yd, 4 TD, 0 INT 48.0 QBR
11/27/2021 12:42:07 AM
lmao
11/27/2021 12:45:13 AM
howell did out-rush the fuck out of leary though
11/27/2021 1:50:43 AM
Even so, he had less TDs and more turnovers. That's saying that Leary had a below average game and Howell had a very good game. I believe according to their system 50 = average 100 = perfect.]
11/27/2021 7:50:40 AM
it has a high value on running yds/tds
11/27/2021 10:53:05 AM
Like i said, it's a bad stat

10/10/2022 9:36:48 PM
am I missing why you named someone who hasn’t worked at ESPN for a few years?
10/11/2022 1:06:35 AM
Yes but my fault, not enough context by me, Espn busted Jemele Hill for Trump comments but it's cool that SAS goes on Hannity I guess
10/11/2022 10:43:04 AM
gotchathat dude is above any kind of repercussions they could throw at him
10/11/2022 11:51:27 AM
does anyone still watch PTI? I find myself cringing too much when Wilbon starts yelling. ATH is superior.
10/11/2022 2:55:40 PM
i stopped watching all espn shows sometime around 2010ish i'd sayi do fanboy mina kimes if i happen to see her on, tho[Edited on October 11, 2022 at 3:35 PM. Reason : minaaaaaaaaa <3]

some tough, tough layoffs being announced today Jeff Van Gundy, Jalen Rose, Suzy Kolber, Steve Young, with more to come
6/30/2023 1:28:28 PM
Jalen Rose and Steve Young are absolutely terrible at TV, so good.
6/30/2023 2:05:59 PM
what is wrong with you, man?
6/30/2023 2:06:33 PM
Something is wrong with me because i think they were bad at their jobs?
6/30/2023 2:22:25 PM
Justin has resorted to victim blaming. “Jalen was asking for it with what he was wearing”. Gross, Justin.
6/30/2023 2:30:24 PM
^^ how do you feel like the two you mentioned were absolutely terrible on tv?
6/30/2023 2:45:05 PM

6/30/2023 4:24:58 PM
Can't believe they let go of Todd McShay. Now where will I find out how Blain Gabbert is better than Cam Newton, and other hot takes?
