In that context, it's clear Obama isn't saying insurance execs are bad people.
9/10/2009 11:09:46 PM
yeah, I wasn't responding to Hannity referring to Obama's words as "harsh"The problem is, Obama said this: "insurance executives aren't bad people"and Hannity reported as this: "Obama said insurance executives are bad people"then they watched a clip of Obama saying "insurance executives aren't bad people"and instead of correcting Hannity on the proper interpretation of the sentence, Luntz supported Hannity and said that "Obama is trying to demonize a segment of American society"
9/10/2009 11:19:17 PM
Hannity, "Obama says A"Obama, "B"AND NO ONE WILL FUCKING CALL HIM OUT ON IT EVER. FUCK THE MEDIA.
9/10/2009 11:20:44 PM
Not just any old "B" either...an explicit "inverse of A." Or opposite or whatever you call it.
9/10/2009 11:24:07 PM
agentlion, to be fair, Obama did say "Insurance execs are bad people." He just didn't mean that. It is the product of the way he said it. But, hannity is still being a douche bag
9/10/2009 11:33:08 PM
Holy shit, he did.That's hilarious.
9/11/2009 12:44:46 AM

I just read that Glenn Beck wrote The Christmas Sweater.hilarious
9/17/2009 1:35:30 PM
hannity is such a douche.i really hate people that dont even want to hear the other side of the story
9/17/2009 9:53:21 PM
you must hate a lot of liberals, too, then
9/18/2009 1:38:03 AM
as a matter of fact, i dobut hannity gets under my skin moreso than any political commentator out there on either side
9/18/2009 3:53:04 PM
i will admit that Olberman gets under my skin. he's the left's version of Bill OReilly.and theres this morning host on AM 1090 Progressive Radio here in seattle, who absolutely drives me nuts to listen to. she's some sort of liberal icon with a lot of lefties out here, but i think shes a shrill toolbag.but the intolerant, incurious blowhards are exceptions on the left, and most left leaning people take them with a grain of salt. contrariwise, these kind of people all over the place on teh right, and they attract armies of stupid people to them like shit draws flies.

Rick Sanchez Eviscerates Fox News: "YOU LIE"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjrhOp-kViYmajor pwnage when he starts getting on promoting vs. cover
9/19/2009 5:14:55 PM
I wonder if he would eviscerate the other networks for their shenanigans. I doubt it
9/19/2009 5:17:06 PM
Have any of "the other networks" made such an egregious and false claim against CNN?
9/19/2009 5:25:28 PM
if another network took out a full page add based on something that was patently false, rick sanchez might have to smack a bitch
9/19/2009 5:28:04 PM
*cough*CBS*cough*
9/19/2009 5:31:41 PM
CBS took out a full page ad?
9/19/2009 5:34:26 PM
no, they one-upped Fox. They ran a 60 minutes episode based on blatant bullshit lies
9/19/2009 5:50:20 PM
Fox runs an entire 24 hour news network based on bullshit lies CBS admitted their mistake though, let’s see if Fox does the same thing.
9/19/2009 6:06:52 PM
lying to rig a presidential election >>>>>>>> lying to get ratings
9/19/2009 6:16:38 PM
Fox does both?
9/19/2009 6:22:25 PM
you're giving cbs a lot of credit if you think that would have changed the outcome, but it wasn't ok either. the difference is that cbs apologized and admitted their mistake. to my knowledge, fox news does not do that.
9/19/2009 6:24:36 PM
no, anytime hannity or beck lies on air, they never come out and apologize.its sickening. i hate that these 2 clowns have become the face of my party
9/19/2009 7:44:39 PM
don't forget limbaugh, who thinks everything is about race
9/20/2009 3:23:54 AM
They're awful. Not only are they making us look stupid now, but they're polluting the future. It will be many years before news can have a remotely Republican slant and be taken seriously by people who are, you know, sane and/or literate.
9/20/2009 4:17:28 AM
why should we accept news that has a Republican slant? Or a Democratic slant? Or any slant?
9/20/2009 4:20:13 AM
I said "remotely" and I meant it. At this point, any news that makes Republicans look good seems unreliable. And while I agree with you in principle that news shouldn't have any slant whatsoever, for the time being I accept it as an inevitability that the various sources will inevitably have one. Since most people aren't going to go out of their way to seek out unbiased news, about the best I can hope for right now is that they get it from one of the less-biased sources. My experience has been that CNN Headline News (just the news -- not the pundit shows) is best for television, with MSNBC being worst on the left and Fox News being worst on the right. In the car, I listen to NPR, because for all of the liberal stigma it carries I have picked up on less bias there than anywhere else.
9/20/2009 4:25:55 AM
^^ says the Glenn Beck fanboy.
9/20/2009 4:31:18 AM
CNN has a new commercial calling out Fox News"Distorting, not Reporting"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igZZzs3MR7Y
9/20/2009 7:31:20 AM
Is it just me or do i sense a division within fox news, where bill oreilly and several others are defecting from the now popular Beck/Hannity campthey are recently starting to say things that really fly in the face of this new movementagreeing with public option, agreeing with obama's missle defense decisioni think they realize that they want nothing to do with the craziness that beck brings, and also may have some jealousy of his popularity
9/20/2009 12:43:47 PM
^ i haven’t seen the video of these Oreilly statements, but Oreilly has a way sometimes of disagreeing with something by agreeing with it… he did it during the election regarding Obama’s musical choices. You have to pay attention to the subtext of his statements.
9/20/2009 12:55:57 PM
There was no ambiguity, he said it and also acknowledged how it was against popular view while talking to chris wallasits not hard to imagine that oreilly does not like beckhe was talking to beck on his show the other day and was disagreeing with basically eveything beck saidlike bringing up how czars have been around a long time, etcalso this is not the first time, oreilly has fought with limbaugh and other right wing conservative radio host so he doest exactly march along with them
9/20/2009 2:03:17 PM
O'reilly can be called many things, but "ideologue" is not one of them, and that has always been the case.
9/20/2009 3:16:08 PM
hannity and beck are extremists who rarely, if at all, bring in opposing viewsoreilly makes a case for every argument, and brings in panels from all sideslike him or not, hes a lot better than the crap on msnbc at the same time
9/20/2009 3:37:30 PM
oreilly brings on counterpoint opinions, but then shouts over them and doesn't let them speak. it's better, but he's no saint.
9/20/2009 4:21:04 PM
