these last two episodes have been absolutely horrible and I think the show is headed down a path to suckage. I think they are giving in to people wanting answers quick and coming up with lame answers just to satisfy people. There are no more cliff hangers, no more suspense, no more wtf just happened to end episodes. I know its only been 2 episodes like this but thats not what lost is about. The show is getting gay.And all you "i called michael on the boat" used spoilers and posted them with no warning. I hate reading this thread because you guys do research outside of watching the show to find out who each episode is about and when certain characters are coming back to the show just so you can have the glory of "calling" something in this thread before it happens when in reality you are just posting a spoiler pretending to be "guessing". LAME.

I think the last episode was very good. Very emotional. I also think they're setting us up for a massive mindfuck at the end of the season.

this season has turned ben into my favorite character
3/14/2008 3:18:40 PM
So if Michael is on the boat where the hell is Walt? And don't tell me that him standing over Locke in the grave wasn't the BSM.

so Jin took the panda bear to Sun so obviously he is still alive when she gives birth. but she doesn't know he is still alive.he is one of the people that got off the island and the public doesn't know about it. he is incognito.
3/14/2008 3:59:16 PM
Did you even watch the episode?
3/14/2008 4:00:31 PM
It's pretty obvious that the panda bear was Walt
3/14/2008 4:03:53 PM
nevermind...my fiancee just corrected me and said that chick wasn't sun. i went back and watched it and figured it out now..that was a flashback, while hers was a flash forward...i dunno how i missed that. i guess i just fell for it too hard and thought he was taking it to her

Jumped the shark, my ass. Things are just getting Lostier.
3/14/2008 4:20:16 PM
some people i have talked to don't even think jin's thing was a flashback. i don't really get it. its the people that read all the spoilers/theories/websites. apparently there's some theory that sun's dad is connected to penny's dad. anyone heard of this??
3/14/2008 5:18:21 PM
i saw that on the message board i frequent on this topic

i see a lot of people basing the flash foward/back on the type of cell phone used in the particular scene[Edited on March 14, 2008 at 7:04 PM. Reason : prop errors]
3/14/2008 7:03:02 PM
ya ben is basically jigsaw. they stole the idea from that. what most people can't comprehend is the fact that michael didn't leave the island and go directly to the boat. he most likely went to the real world and got the job on the boat before it departed.
3/14/2008 7:11:45 PM
also, the man in the store tries to get jin to buy a dragon b/c it is the year of the dragon...which was 2000
3/14/2008 7:18:42 PM
I haven't read this thread in forever. Just wanted to check in and make sure a bunch of you people are complete retards.Assertion confirmed.
3/14/2008 7:26:00 PM
you need to look at subtle bullshit like cell phones and animal-years to know its a flashbackyou just need to not be an idiot

one of the things I've been wondering is how Michael got on the boat, without walt. It obviously makes no sense that the freighter would pick him up off of that small boat they set out from the island on, so he must have boarded or been hired while on the mainland. Given the timeline, it would be very difficult to get all the way back to land somewhere, find something to do with Walt, get in touch with Ben, and work his way onto the boat - all within about a month of leaving the island. i like this theory

3/17/2008 9:45:13 AM
I HAVE A THEORYI THINK THAT THE REASON JIN WAS SO QUICK TO FORGIVE SUN WAS THAT HE HAD A BABY WITH ANOTHER WOMAN (THE BABY HE TOOK THE PANDA TO) AND HE FEELS GUILTY.
3/17/2008 9:51:23 AM
Michael probably got off the island using the Submarine that Ben had at one time before Locke blew it up. Ben sent him off the island because he had leveraging material using Walt as a hostage. Ben knows what's going on in the real world from current events and whatever so he most likely knew that Penny's dad is trying to find the island.I bet Penny's dad is equivalent to Ben in money standards and power and Ben maybe stole the idea, map or whatever to the island. So Penny's dad is upset and determined to find Ben and the island. Penny's dad and Ben probably started the Dharma initiative. Can anyone tell me what the significance of the logo of the island and the reflection of a city mean? I might have missed this in previous replies in the post.

^Now I know it is sometimes difficult to convey sarcasm on an internet message board, so I'm going to go ahead and assume you were being sarcastic with pretty much that entire post.
3/18/2008 8:40:18 AM
^^ what?Michael and Walt left on that small boat at the end of S2. are you saying they were intercepted, and given the sub to get away, then Ben brought the sub back to the island, then Locke blew it up?The question isn't really how Michael got off the island - we saw him leave. It's the timeline of how the got from the island to the mainland, then got hooked up with the freighter people. And Ben didn't start the Dharma initiative - we saw in S3 that Ben was brought to the island while he was a kid in the 70s, during the heyday of the initiative. He later killed everyone and took over for himself. have you watched before this season?what logo are you talking about[Edited on March 18, 2008 at 8:40 AM. Reason : .]
3/18/2008 8:40:20 AM
Here's my theory. This Kevin Johnson guy looks an awful lot like Michael (from Season 1 and 2)remember?yeah.
3/18/2008 9:02:47 AM
I HAVE A THEORYHoward IS A FUCKING RETARD
3/18/2008 9:20:26 AM
^^Oh yeah I remember him, you're right he does look kind of like him. Maybe it is his brother or something? You know I bet Walt keeps showing up to Locke because he wants Locke to help his uncle Kevin get back to the mainland.
3/18/2008 9:32:13 AM
WALT IS HOLOGRAPHICALLY MAKING HIMSELF LOOK LIKE HIS FATHER
3/18/2008 12:26:25 PM
Maybe Walt just grew up and changed his name to Kevin Johnson?I don't think Locke destroyed the submarine. He submerged it and made it look like it blew up, and next episode he's gonna pilot it (by himself) and torpedo the Freighter (by shoving an actual grenade in Miles' mouth and putting him in the launch tube.)Hurley steals the satellite phone and calls the Ghostbusters, who come to the island and capture Jacob. Then Hiro comes and teleports everyone to their coffins because the island is actually Purgatory. At the very end of the episode Desmond wakes up next to Penny and realizes Seasons 1-3 were all just a dream and Bruce Willis was dead the whole time.

3/18/2008 4:49:53 PM
huh.... confusing...so if we now know all of the oceanic six, then who is in the coffin that jack goes to see???(end of S3) Why does that mean he finally asks kate to go back to the island?
3/18/2008 7:45:56 PM
I just feel like it has to be Ben since he warned Jack beforehand.
3/18/2008 8:23:09 PM
It can't be Kate, Jack, or Aaron (Kate says she has to get back to "him", assuming she's talking about Aaron), which leaves Sayid, Hurley (no way), and Sun. Judging by the size of the casket, I'm guessing it can't be any of the Oceanic Six (aside from Aaron, whom I'm ruling out).Maybe it's Sun's kid? We'll find out this season, apparently.
3/18/2008 8:38:04 PM
Also, the fact that we know part of the persons name in the coffin kinda rules out any of the Oceanic 6 too. Remember the newspaper clipping? You could make out part of the name and we know it was a man who died.[Edited on March 18, 2008 at 9:09 PM. Reason : .]
3/18/2008 9:08:56 PM
Interesting screen shot of the girl jumping off the freighter. I didn't notice it while watching the show, but land is clearly visible in the background. I am pretty sure its not supposed to be the island.
3/18/2008 9:24:02 PM
probably just a goof. I remember a while ago seeing a screenshot of the season 2 finale when jack, kate, and sawyer are caught by the others. You can clearly see a bunch of Hawaiian houses in the background.
3/18/2008 9:39:40 PM
Those were probably the other's huts.
3/18/2008 10:21:22 PM
I didn't catch the teenage son part before... the only person I can think of that it would make sense with would be Michael.
3/18/2008 10:29:23 PM
I don't know why I'm up this late, but ok so if Locke is the guy in the coffin...maybe he faked his death in LA to get back on the island somehow. Also I got bored and picked out the letters according to the lost number 4 8 15 16 23 42 from the news article and it works out to say BOANOT...No Boat..On Boat? Maybe the man that was found dead in LA was Michael? Haha that would make sense since he does have a teenage son. I don't know. I'm doing everything but sleeping due to the insomnia. Oh well fuck it. Good night.

3/19/2008 12:55:19 PM
I think it's Ben in the coffin. And Jack was so upset because he realized Ben was his best chance to get back to the island.
3/19/2008 1:33:45 PM
whoever is in the coffin committed suicide.... would Ben do that?
3/19/2008 1:42:11 PM
Well if it is Ben, perhaps for some reason they are reporting Alex's boyfriend (Karl I think his name is?) as his son? It doesn't make much sense but Walt, Alex, and Karl are the only teenagers I can think of that we know about.
