We haven't seen Invisible dude in a while, and I think he's not dead? I wouldn't be too surprised if he was the one who killed Nathan if it wasn't Bennett.

And what do you mean it's out of character? "

Becuase Hiro doesn't have it in him. Yeah he hates Adam, but to bury him alive? Jesus Christ - not to mention that's beyond harsh, and completely not honorable - which is important to Hiro, his values, and his culture....it's the worst thing in the world you could do to anyone. The fact that Adam is like highlander makes it beyond the worst thing you could do to someone - it would be unfathomable. Basically Hiro in full conscious damned him to eternal torture. Yeah fucking right - so now he's Satan? That's an equivalent of the punishment assigned. And to boot, they reused camera footage from his mother/father's funeral site and put him there. WTF? Such BS and just throwing shit on the screen. All this coming from the same guy who raises his arms up still and yells ' FLYMAN' like a little kid when he sees Nate. Totally out of character.

And on a side note, Adam is the same guy that had multiple opportunities to kill Hiro in the factory when he was down and passed out , but didnt....for a reason - he has somewhat of a soft spot still for Hiro and relegated Peter to do it. Hiro has to know that Adam could have, but didnt'.

Face it, this season and especially this episode was just a bullshit quick-fix way to write the season ending up prematurely, and yet at the same time have an ace in the hole and escape clause in case they need Adam back at any time. The ones they killed were just the actors moving on to other things.

I fucking hate this show now, and you guys are totally missing just how jerry rigged this season has been. total implosion.

When I was watching, I thought I saw an ad for something about saving Charlie in a comic book or something. That was the waitress, right? I'd really like to know if she died or not, loved that character.

Adam sent Hiro's dad to a grave in Japan. Hiro was just returning the favor. As far as Adam not killing Hiro goes that probably would have pushed Peter back to good earlier. Or maybe that's why Hiro didn't just chop his head off later.

Hiro is still the coolest character on the show.

and that was definitely Bennett on the grassy knoll.

Peter didn't want Adam dead, Adam killing Hiro would have destroyed Peter's trust in Adam.

Hiro is honorable, he should have killed Adam, that is more likely then him putting him in a coffin forever.

I had a hard time believing a lot of the character development this season. I was hugely dissapointed with kensei's character development since his progression from mercenary to reluctant hero to villain seemed contrived. Also- the time he lived through doesn't exactly show humanity's maturity stagnate. Also, the idea that a former boozing whoring mercenary would become a moral authority on humanity is kind of weak. I can accept that kind of belief (the unchanging depravity of man) from someone who doesn't know the history of the last 400 years, but this guy was there. While we're are not saints by any stretch now, we don't have wide-spread legalized slavery, war-deaths per year as a percent of population has decreased (with the exception of the 2 world war eras) for the most part over the last 150-200 years pretty steadily.

Anyways, Adam was a weak villain- he would have been more disturbing and more impressive if he either made more sense as a character or was more powerful. I would have rather seen him make more sense as a character instead of having a petty hatred of Hiro turn him nuts. Hiro's change in the end to a lot colder man seemed kind of contrived to me. He could have easily killed Adam without condemning him to the same fate his dad had originally condemned him to. Maybe that was the point, but it's not like Hiro saw his dad as some supremely moral figure anymore. He knew what his dad had done in the past and I think the idea of him atoning for his father's sins and mistakes would have made more sense than seeking revenge on Adam.

Also, that symbol pisses me off. I used to think it was something meaningful- like perhaps a sign of the influence of some powerful fate bending villain we had not yet seen. Instead it looks like its just being used as sort of a "look at me" aside to the audience. They could have made it much more significant and less cheesy but ah well. Still an entertaining show, but I don't think it's as brilliant as I used to.

I don't get why Adam was "so powerful" they had to lock him up

they obviously knew a bullet to the head would kill him...sooo...why not do that if he got within 100 yards of the facility?

I'm not sure that Hiro burying Adam was that out of character, for the simple reason that Hiro doesn't actually know that Adam can be killed in any conventional sense. All he's ever seen is Adam coming back from what should've been sure death -- arrows in the chest, massive explosion, etc.

Nathan and Matt got the little instructional lesson on "bullet to the brain," but Hiro didn't. Given what he knew, burying alive seems like a pretty good solution.

Besides all of which, it was baller as fuck.

Nathan getting shot was pretty contrived, I'll grant. His whole character has just been kind of hanging around this whole season, then in the last five minutes they try to make him something important. I'm assuming this was a consequence of the writer's strike, and that they just couldn't flush him out.

Thank God Nikki is dead, though I would've rather that whole set of characters go with her.

i might have missed something w/ this, but it seemed to me that bennett took a bullet through the head and adam's blood brought him back to life.

so why would a bullet through adam's head, or anyone that can heal for that matter, kill them? the healing/blood ability is very inconsistent.

I think it is because it is a specific part of the brain that is the "source" of the power. In the episode where that dude tried to rape Claire, she fell on that tree stump thing and it stuck in the back of her head and killed her. When Peter first faced off against Sylar, the shard of glass in the back of his head got him. The bullet that hit Bennet may not have necessarily hit that vital part of the brain where the regeneration "begins".

And although Nathan didn't really do that much this season, it still sucks to see him go. I always kind of thought he would end up as a villain since he was Peter's brother and kind of had a mean look to him. Whose to say they won't bring him back though, Bennet was dead for at least a few hours before he was brought back.

yeah, just like when Claire got a stick through her head - she regenerated once the stick was removed. If anything that is worse than a bullet as they have shown that the regenerative blood "pushes" out the bullet from inside the victim's body.

if you completely blew up Adam's head, then he wouldnt be able to regenerate from that I would assume

that is a clever observation.

i have noticed that they've chosen their words wisely in saying that you must shoot them "through the head" not just in the head and when discussing adam they said that he had the be decapitated. so i think that may be their way around that plot hole. a bullet in the head and Claire's season one injury from the rape deal almost pickled them but saying "through the head" weasels them out

I kind of get the feeling that West was coaxed by someone into trying to persuade Claire not to reveal herself. And Petercould still easily show people their powers. Just start flying around then and there while all the cameras are on.

^Peter could use his own blood, he has the healing power too. Although it might mess things up that he can do all that other stuff too. And seriously, it annoys me that he had to rip that giant door off with his mind when he could have just walked through it.

Yeah but we don't know how peter's power works exactly. His ability might just be mimicking other people's powers, so that his blood doesn't have the innate healing properties that Adam and Claire do. That is, he's mimicking the effect of other people's powers but might not have the same mechanism as they do.

Sylar has more of a power than just stealing others powers.
Being that he can see and understand nearly everything I'm sure it wasn't difficult for him to come up with a believable lie to convince some pimple-faced teenager to go home.

did it bother anyone else how quickly peter mastered parkman's ability, yet he can't teleport or stop time at will. with sylar he pretty much masters it instantly, but peter has a learning curve. as soon as parkman told him what to do he immediately knew how to do it.

It could be that the ability used on him wasn't reading minds; it was a command.

According to this week's graphic novel Claire and West have met, and no one but the Haitian knows.

I want Ando back in the plot, and not just reading messages from Hiro or helping him with research.

unless of course his ability to block it is only a result of having the same power, like how hiro's time stopping doesn't affect him. fuck it, i don't know

Mediocre season.

- I find it hard to believe that peter couldn't get his blood into his brother. A fucking police station has medical kits in it. If your brother is dying, you will improvise a solution.
- That was pretty out of character for hiro.
- I would have preferred for Nikki to have lived and her kid and black girl to have died.
- Peter and mohinder are the stupidest characters to ever be on tv.

The entire season has been an insult to intelligence. A show is past its prime when it relies on gaping plot holes or people forgetting that they have incredible powers.

We have no reason to believe that Peter's blood heals as well...just because he has the ability doesn't mean his blood changed to match someone elses...speaking of which...do blood types not matter anymore? Pretty sure you can't shove your blood into anyone in the world and it will be fine and dandy

Nikki was worthless, no matter how you spin it

I agree that I hate Mohinder, for a scientist he is one of the stupidest people i've seen

I don't think Hiro knew you could kill Adam/Claire with a blow to the head. He did see him blown up in Japan, so he probably figured there is no way to kill him. The only way to stop Adam was to "lock him up" again. I think it was completely necessary, and gives us a glimpse that future Hiro (remember him?) is still a very real possibility

and i think he was probably too preoccupied getting into the heads of everyone else listening to pick out a sniper's thoughts. bennett has said before that he's a good shot, and i don't think we've ever seen the haitian with a gun. plus, bennett was in odessa

i hope it wasn't him though
