"o, about the massive number of Qs in this Sunday's paper - where can I buy the paper?"

I usually buy an extra paper @ CVS...I've heard Walgreens sells the Sunday paper for $0.93 plus tax...I think it comes to exactly $1.00 w/ tax. The Dollar Store sells them for $1.00 (not sure if thats w/ tax or not)

I already know I'm gonna get some free Frank's Red Hot sauce! "

good luck with that i got two bottles yesterday, and they were almost out, and i went today to use my other 4 coupons and they were out completely

Quote :
"So, there's a thread on Slickdeals for HT deals, and someone went through and matched up all the worthwhile Qs from the last few months with their products, and totaled each item after the Q. I pretty much went by that and made a shopping list, and will hit up HT after work."

i know the slickdeals site didnt have many post about ht but youve got to remember there are 100's of sites like it, so everyone on the other sites have done the same thing if you didnt go early the first day, a lot of these deals will be gone.

Quote :
"the frank's red hot sauce was $1.59 and there was a $0.75 coupon that came out a few months ago"
the small bottle is $1.59 the big bottle that has a variety of flavors was $2.19 so both were free after coupon

thats babyfood/drink right, you have a little one? or is there something else you do with it?

^^I figured I'd have trouble finding the "free" items at HT, but I'll go anyways. Something is better than nothing.

Besides, there's about 4 HT within a 5 mile radius of my house

^^^YAY FREE ICE CREAM It let me print 2 by just hitting the Back button a couple times.

I hit HT on my lunch hour and found everything I wanted to get except the Frank's Hot Sauce and the Lipton Recipe Secrets. There was one of the Lipton's left on the shelf, and I needed 2 for the coupon to work.

Still, my total pre-Q was $71.xx and post-Q was $19.xx

ok, so i went to CVS earlier today and just looked at my receipt and it has my pharmacy ECB on it ($4.50!!) and a photo coupon and a coupon for like $2 off Tums. Last quarter when coupons were printed, I got a coupon for free CVS-brand antacid pills. I guess CVS thinks I have really bad stomach problems...or did you all get the same things?

I printed two of those B&J coupons and I posted the link on Slickdeals. Within like 2hrs the link was dead, LOL. My bad....

And no, I'm not getting up at 3am. But I am probably getting up at 7am. I'll clip the coupons from the paper I get delivered, and then go out and get another one. Depending on what's there, I may go to HT that early and do another coupon run. But I plan to go to CVS for a few of tomorrow's sales items tonight since they start the sales early.

while you are at food lion picking up your free ice cream, check out the cereal aisle for a good deal on frosted flakes and apple jacks.

they are 3/$6 so $2/box and there was a $1 coupon a few weeks ago for any kellogg cereal...$1/box for cereal is a pretty good deal.

thumper asked about reusable shopping bags.

I exchanged xmas presents from my family today. Among them were two chico bags. According to the hangtags, they're nylon bags, and can carry 20lbs. They have a little sack on the inside, and a carabiner. They truly are easy to stuff in the little carry sack.

The website says they're polyester, and carry 25lbs. Since my sister's chorus was selling these as a fundraiser, that could explain the difference.

At any rate, these are so awesome. Mom said if we can guarantee a quantity, she can probably get the booster club president to place another fundraising order.

$5/bag, no shipping. 50% of the cost stays at the booster club.

Gonna post this elsewhere, because I can think of a few users who would be interested, but don't coupon.

wewt!

Don't know yet what the minimum quantity is going to be to make another order. My sister did sound like they were planning to repeat this fundraiser, so if TWW can't constitute their own order, I'll let yall know when they do it again.

And if they don't, I'm looking at doing this for my frat. They've got a screening option, and so I've emailed the president to put on the to-do list. It might have the 'Without us, you'd be naked' screen (college of textiles).

Looks like I can order a few of them on my own. What's so special about ordering them through the fundraiser? Aside from the free shipping and benefiting the group who is doing the fundraiser?

That's it.

I was putting it out there. Should it happen that they are doing a second fundraiser of these, I'll let folks know; if what you all want is enough to constitute the minimum, whatever that may be, I'm willing to coordinate.

Not a big deal either way, but you did come to mind

$120 for $68

used $25 GC

so $43 out of pocket

just emailed HT corporate and told them that the U-Scan lady never mentioned the 20 coupon limit and that 12 of my coupons didn't triple and then when I called back to ask about their return policy, the lady at Customer Service was very rude to me. they're sending me a check for the additional $19 I would have saved and an additional $10 in store coupon.

so really, it'll only be $24 out of pocket with $10 to use next time they have triples

well dont expect them to compensate you because you went by an internet site, you got lucky they did, and shit like that is what makes grocery stores not want to do these kinds of promotions

the issue is that all i had to do was buy the first 20 items, put that shit in my car, come back in with another VIC card and buy the other items. had I been informed that there was a limit by the chick who handled my coupons, this is obviously what i would have done. the fact that she didnt' mention the 20 coupon limit, rather just scanned them as normal and didn't tell me that they were only "singled." that's the problem.

then when i called to ask if i could return everything, have them ring up half, let me leave, come back, ring in the other half and we'd be good -- the bitch was rude to me

of course HT corporate will compensate me

and no the point of slickdeals is to get good deals not cheat the system, when you cheat the system, and they find out they dont do the triples and other promotions/sales as often if at all

^ exactly!

trust me...one dude (out of the thousands of HT shoppers) taking advantage of the system is not going to lead to them discontinuing triple coupon promotions

another thing -- was it OK for the lady, whose job is to help out customers when they have a problem, to be completely rude to me when I called and explained my problem? what would you have done if you were in my shoes and you honestly didn't know that they only allowed up to 20 triples when every other day of the year they allow unlimited doubles? i didn't see the fine print and the U-Scan chick didn't explain it to me. would you not try to get your money back?

it is not the cashier's job to inform you that only 20 coupons will triple. it's your job to read the sales ad and understand the promotion that week.

if Pepsi 2 liters were on BOGO and you only bought one, but then find out later that you could have gotten 2 for the same price, are you going to go back and yell at the cashier because she didn't tell you it was BOGO in the first place??? it's not their job.

enjoy your check from HT and your little gift card, and do us all a favor and leave the shopping up to your woman.

actually they don't allow unlimited doubles. Only 20 coupons each day will be doubled.

It really pays to know the coupon policy of the store you are shopping at....educate yourself here: http://www.harristeeter.com/promotions/online_coupons/coupon_policy.aspx

I agree that it was not right of the custoemr service person to be rude to you...but in her defense and in the Self Checkout lady's defense, during triples they post their coupon policy on the sliding doors

Wow. I see some people in this thread who are pointing an awful lot of fingers...

Speaking of cheating the system...

Quote :
"OH and I just realized after checking my receipt that I did in fact get the wrong Loreal eye shadow - no wonder my transaction total was so high. Now I get to make a return! "

later that same day...

Quote :
"well she returned my eye shadow no problem, and i kinda used $2 worth of coupons on the items, but got full price back when i returned them... "

Leave the guy alone. It's not like he was PURPOSELY trying to cheat the system..He made a mistake, and probably not one he will repeat. Who died and made you all coupon gods?

And furthurmore, I hate the sexism in this thread. Stop referring to it as a womanly thing to do because it's clearly not and I, for one, don't see the need for it.

ncstatetke, it is solely your responsibility to know the rules for the promotions in which you are partking. If you want to be babysat in every aspect of your life, get a head injury and become a vegetable; otherwise, start acting like an adult.
