wow, the ravens offense is terribleI'm up by 2 points going into the night with the Baltimore Defense and Darrell Jackson left to play for methe other guy has Edge playingI was liking my chances, but the Ravens offense is giving the Def terrible field position to defend

9/10/2007 10:36:36 PM
I need 5 points from Rackers tonight for a remarkable come from behind win in my $$$ league.I was down 75 points coming into last nights game with only Rackers, Romo, and T.O. left to playWe do penalize for missed FG's though, so i'm worried.
9/10/2007 10:39:15 PM
yeah i have a chance to pull of an upset against an LT and C-Palm team with a S. Jackson and Drew Brees team if V-Davis and Edge pull it together
9/10/2007 10:42:22 PM
I wouldnt beA healthy Rackers is one of the best kickers in the NFL.I have him against Goreso far im wayyyy behind
9/10/2007 10:43:41 PM
god damn fucking gore, fucking nasty
9/10/2007 10:49:57 PM
Rackers, you are gonna give me a damn heart attack!
9/10/2007 11:05:02 PM
slowly but surelyGore needs to break his face and fumble in the process of losing yards.
9/10/2007 11:09:19 PM
1 pt away!
9/10/2007 11:16:24 PM
i had a 40+ point lead going in to this game. Other dude has gore and james. Down to 20 points The sad part is that this is all off of turnovers, not because these are good offenses[Edited on September 10, 2007 at 11:17 PM. Reason : 4564]
9/10/2007 11:16:44 PM
ive already won and still have gore.....I need more gore so I can catch up in total points

9/11/2007 12:19:07 AM
All I need is 2 points. Can't Gore or Fitz do something.
9/11/2007 12:20:25 AM
Gore needs to break an ankle walking on the sidelines and Rackers needs to kick every chance they get.
9/11/2007 12:21:21 AM
so, I'm actually down .18 points.Howz about Rackers come in and take a toss to the left on a Third down for a 2 yard gain.that'd be solid.
9/11/2007 12:25:20 AM
Wooowooo gogo Gore, only need 1 more point to tie. Also need jackson to not do shit.
9/11/2007 12:29:08 AM
THANK YOU RACKERS!!!!
9/11/2007 1:04:57 AM

thank goodness i picked up cutler in the late rounds of my draft, because leinart might fuck me this year
9/11/2007 6:33:21 AM
week 2...IND v. SDorNO @ TB?
9/11/2007 6:40:46 AM
On Yahoo, they gave Matt Leinart 9 fantasy points. He barely threw for 100 yards for 1 touchdown, ran for 35, and had 2 picks. With one point for every 25 yards passing, 4 for a touchdown throw, 1 for every 10 rushing yards, and -2 for every pick thrown, I've calculated 7.This error put me in a tie for the week. Will Yahoo turn around and change this, or would I have to somehow bring it up? I've never really had to deal with improper scoring before.
9/11/2007 7:22:28 AM
^are you positive it's not 6 pts/td or 1 pt/int? that's the only thing I can think of
9/11/2007 7:44:07 AM
well, thanks to Deinch Branch putting up a goose egg and DJax getting a measely 3 points, I lost in my league by two pointsI shouldve started Ted Ginn Jr. over Deion
9/11/2007 8:30:41 AM
You'll learn this about Deion Branch, he sucks as a fantasy WR, learned that the hard way last year. And I managed to win despite having SJ and going into last night with a marginal lead and him having Gore, Fitz, and Alex Smith. That game couldn't have gone better for me last night, haha.
9/11/2007 8:44:02 AM
I just noticed that it's only -1 for interceptions. I always thought it was -2. On a brighter note, my opponent would have won if Leinart hadn't thrown that pick in the last ten seconds Also, I do think it's gay that you can get two points on D for getting an interception, but you only lose one for actually throwing it. The scoring protects quarterbacks waaaay too much.[Edited on September 11, 2007 at 9:50 AM. Reason : ranting]
9/11/2007 9:48:00 AM
went 0-2 in both leagues. Quarterbacks really killed me this week. out of the three starting this week in my leagues there were ZERO TD passes
9/11/2007 9:54:50 AM

9/11/2007 10:03:47 AM
Did anybody else think Mcgahee just looked lethargic running the ball last night? Willis is one of my two starting RB's, and I got ten points out of him, but sheez he just looked slow. No burst whatsoever. Like those carries inside the 5 yard line in the last few minutes of the game; It looked like he wasnt even trying to get into the endzone. Watching Frank Gore afterward burst thru holes made it all more clear. Mcgahee blows.
9/11/2007 10:49:05 AM
^I dont really agree.Keep in mind it was his first real game with his new team, and Billick's play calling was absolutely horrendous.Once they get their O-line situations sorted out, I think he will be a very serviceable RB.More than that though, Musa Smith getting entire series every 1 out of three possesions for the Ravens and him being the primary goal line back (except on that last series last night, where they only handed off to McGahee 1 out of 8 times inside the 10 yd line) is a much bigger concern. You can tell the O-line is still built for a big bruising back like Smith (or Jamal Lewis), and it will definitely take them a while to transition. Ultimately, the success of McGahee is completly tied into the hope that Billick will take his head out of his ass.^^I would not give up S-Jax...just yet. I want to see how losing S-Jax effects his and Bulger's performance. Jackson was rated the #2 overall pick for a reason, and right now is the perfect "buy low time" on a guy like him. Which perspective are you looking at this from? Giving him up or getting him?[Edited on September 11, 2007 at 10:58 AM. Reason : asdf]
9/11/2007 10:56:06 AM
McGahee has always had the physical tools (except when Will Allen broke his fuckin leg in the Fiesta Bowl!) but he doesn't give all his effort all the time...neither did Edgerrin last year but he did last night...McGahee didnt look great last night or in the preseasonAlso DO NOT TRADE STEVEN JACKSON AFTER ONE BAD GAME...although the season ending injury to Orlando Pace will have a smal effect on the whole Rams' offenseAlso I think Gore is going to have a monster game next week...versus the shitty St. Louis run defense...20 points]
9/11/2007 11:37:56 AM
Yeah, I have SJ but I'm going to give him a little more time before I give up on him. I mean if he can't run on the SF D I might be worried since Edge almost got 100 and a TD on them.
9/11/2007 12:15:32 PM
Thanks to the Guru for advising me to start Portis.I didn't win, but it was the right call obviously.
9/11/2007 12:28:39 PM
I have Steven Jackson, panthro. A guy in my league gave me that trade offer after yesterday.
9/11/2007 1:17:22 PM
Foster versus HoustonBarber versus MiamiLeaning towards Foster
9/11/2007 2:05:16 PM
Both are decent plays, but I actually like MB3 more than Foster this week, especially if you are in a Touchdown heavy league. Two things we saw in last weeks games:1) The Texans have the ability to shut down a running back and the running game altogether. These arent the same Texans of few years ago (or even last year). They are competive, strong and their D is fast, especially Mario Williams! 2) Miami's D is very succeptable to the long ball. The real strength of that team is the front 7, not at all the secondary. Jason Campbell and the Redskins could have crushed the 'fins if he could have hit the open WR.With that said, it sounds counter-intuitive to start MB3, but their offense and the way they incorporate him into the red zone attack should make him a very busy back on Sunday. Jones will continue to get the bulk of the carries, but Barber will get the money touches. They are either going to have lots of opp's in the red zone because of the passing game, or it will be a blow out and MB3 will get a ton of garbage time touches. I REALLY think the Dallas Defense comes back to like this week against a hapless Dolphins team, which will create a load of chances for MB3 to punch it in.Conversely, While Foster's numbers were good yardage wise, he has a knack for not getting past the stripe. I see Williams being used more and more everyweek. Add that to the fact that Williams is the goal line back, and MB3 gives you a better chance at big numbers this week, despite the fact that his overall yardage total likely wont be as high as Foster's will be.Start MB3.- The Guru
9/11/2007 3:07:34 PM
Houston's defense was certainly very good last week...but are they more of a speed defense or a power defense? If they are more of a speed defense I think Deshaun might have a good day...if they're a slower (relative term) power defense, Deangelo might be able to use his speed, limiting Foster's productionits certainly a close call...wait til sunday morning is my advice ]

lynch against Pittorjamal lewis against Cincyormusa smith against Jets
9/11/2007 3:22:43 PM
i'm seriously considering picking up branch this week against the cards he was the fly in my ointment last year
9/11/2007 3:30:32 PM
^^i'd go with jamal...cincy's defense looked good last night but they're not as good as pittsburgh's...also i think cincy was really jacked last night to come out and beat their divisional rivals...cleveland is also in the afc north but i dont see them coming out with quite the same defensive firealso mike anderson didnt play last night but he should be back next week to backup mcgahee...so i think musa might be a 3rd string back next weekplay it by ear but i'd go with jamal^i dropped branch yesterday...i have decent WR depth and expect him to turn it around...but his performance against tampa was pathetic[Edited on September 11, 2007 at 3:34 PM.
