5/24/2007 2:55:43 PM
Well, I sold 400 calls a month ago at 5.60 and bought them back today for 3.60.I bought 600 puts last Friday at 2.15 and sold them at 1.00 today.Although I should have lost money because the stock went up, I actually ended up netting something like $77 in the end thanks to the time premium on the calls last month. However, my boss bet against me and bought calls yesterday and made $texas.
5/24/2007 3:13:04 PM
yep...i got pretty much thrashed today. erased most of the gains i'd made this week.

DBRN and PSS report earnings tomorrow afternoon.I might have to do some research on them.
5/29/2007 3:25:12 PM
I'm just getting back from some European investor conferences, and Asco is this week/over the weekend.Be looking at the biotechs and pharmas. Can't say specifically which ones, but I do like the therapeutically aligned ETFs such as HHJ, HHK, and HHD.I've also missed the last 2 weeks of Fast Money. I'm sure they've been talking about the conference season.

picked up 42 shares of AAPL today @ 120.35
5/31/2007 4:29:34 PM
^ i've been meaning to get on the AAPL cart, but haven't gotten around to it yet
5/31/2007 5:14:53 PM
yeah, me too.. ever since the first post in this thread. If i had done that, i'd be sitting rather pretty right now.
5/31/2007 5:19:29 PM
For all the pontificating in this thread, just picking up AAPL would have led to $texas returns.
5/31/2007 7:48:25 PM
didn't have the cash at the time or I would have.

Someone should ask Steve Jobs what he would do if he were to take over Dell just so he can say
6/1/2007 2:54:56 AM
^^ yeah, those of us who got in recently (me) or still haven't gotten in have missed the boat on triple digit returns. AAPL's at the $100B market cap mark, so the law of large numbers will keep AAPL from growing at that rate any longer. But... 20-30% growth over the next year is still quite possible.
6/1/2007 7:45:08 AM
ok, had to sell some MO to make cash available for AAPL. got in right at 120
6/1/2007 10:21:24 AM

6/1/2007 1:27:14 PM
GOOG is at $500.I'm very seriously considering selling it. I got in at $343 over a year ago...only 10 shares. Tired of watching it hit 500 then drop, hit 500 drop, hit 500 drop, etc.Any thoughts?[Edited on June 1, 2007 at 3:09 PM. Reason : ]

SIRI and XMSR are lame. I think there are much better places to park your money. They might go up at some distant point in the future, but in the mean time, you could be making bank off of something else.*[Edited on June 4, 2007 at 7:34 PM. Could be a good time to get some AAPL before the 29th when the iPhone is released.
6/6/2007 4:38:04 PM
think here might be a good point to get into TIE?or would you go for the AAPL?SBUX prices are also down to the point where I'm starting to watch them again, although i don't think i want to pull the trigger yet.another company that i just started watching is NGPS. they've been growing strongly for a few years, but are depressed right now. I prob won't buy, because I already have GRMN and NVT, but never say never.[Edited on June 6, 2007 at 4:41 PM. Reason : asdf][Edited on June 6, 2007 at 4:46 PM. Reason : asdf]

^ AAPLi got some at 120, and will start getting out at 150 even if it hits that mark well before the 29th. also, recall that in the past, AAPL has had launch delays.
