so what do outside animals do, like wild/feral dogs? just go apeshit until it's over? have heartaches? permanent mental issues?

probably clear... i'm like 2 blocks from there and it's been just barely raining for the past 10-15 minutes. in fact, it's sucked in general as usual except for a couple thunders.

how in the hell are we still in a drought? i think these average numbers are overinflated or the rainfall isn't being recored accurately. that's my big conspiracy theory for this month.

[Edited on May 9, 2008 at 5:51 AM. Reason : okay, so maybe more like 0.5 mile from glenwood/440 but still...]

Looks like west raleigh and the cary area may get ravaged by some hail producing storms soon. Keep an eye out in and around NCSU. Looks like I'll miss it here in N. Raleigh

Woops didn't realize it...just more of a hobby of mine actually. As long as no one calls it sleet...I'll be happy.

I just had fairly heavy hail fall out in West Cary for about three to five minutes. I looked outside and it looks like someone dumped bags of ice at all my downspouts.

Pretty much all the SKYWARN reports I heard for this storm were that the hail was dime size or smaller. I gave a report for the pea sized hail I had at my place in Cary.

F3 tornado ate my garage and most of town back in 1998.

That, I can't top.

But one of the few things that makes me wish I could go back in time was my summer in the Ozarks with my grandmother, in 97. Looking back, excellent storm photos would have been so easy to get!

I remember going out one evening, as usual, to watch the storms, and realizing that holy shit there's a funnel cloud descending over the cow pasture! (Laterally, a couple hundred yards from where I was standing)

God almighty, that was awesome.

...This was also the same summer where one of my main forms of entertainment was popping tar bubbles on the road, and sucking on as many honeysuckle blossoms as I could find, and trying to pet the goats I'd sometimes find.

The N. Raleigh Tornado came within a mile of my house back in November 1988. That shit was an F4. I wonder if it came through...the fact that our house is in a lower lying area could have protected us from getting more severe damage compared to a site higher in elevation?

Left the Colonial Heights Wal-Mart about 30 minutes before a tornado ripped through it back in 1993, was spending a week with my cousins up in Chester. Never actually saw the tornado though, which sucks.

I saw something on fox news tonight about how al gore and his global warming phase is part of the cause for our food shortage. Didn't pay it much attention though. Kind of wish I had.
