I'm just glad to see that the "eye" painting was in Starbuck's apartment before the last episode leaves them closer to Straczynski than Lost in my mind, but still somewhere in between.
1/24/2007 2:30:54 PM
I really can't stand the direction they're taking Starbuck. So, some loose ends to contemplate since I've been watching season 2:- The Sharon who shot Adama claimed that there were 8 Cylons in the fleet. D'Anna Biers was one of them. It's probably safe to count Shelley Godfrey (I think that was her last name) as another. That still leaves 6... if she was telling the truth.- Whatever happened to the Pegasus deck chief? (I suppose one could probably just say he was killed on New Caprica...)- Whatever happened to Stinger, the first Pegasus CAG? (Same excuse?)- Exactly how many Vipers is the Galactica carrying nowadays?
1/24/2007 3:35:26 PM
A shit load of vipers probably. The Pegasus had a bunch of vipers as well as a way to manufacture them on board.
1/24/2007 3:38:48 PM
^^ there was also Brother Cavil, the guy who got found out when another one came back from Caprica with Anders' gang. but that still leaves a bunch. I would bet the others were either found out or decided to leave once they got onto New Caprica. with all the skin jobs running around it wouldnt have fooled anyone.
1/24/2007 3:46:50 PM
^yeah, their problem is pilots, not vipers.

1/28/2007 10:45:44 PM
I guess they just delayed respolving the love triangle even longer.
1/28/2007 11:21:01 PM
the bonus scene on the website was awesome.
1/28/2007 11:40:47 PM
wtf was up with the Cylon lepers?
1/29/2007 11:19:15 AM
they were the people that Baltar had killed
1/29/2007 12:33:27 PM
me thinks that the love square is over. atleast till a) the end of the season b) a future season or c) someone dies ie Dee or Anders. And the teaser from last week definitly did not do any justice to the awesomeness of this episode. I mean Baltar's interrogation was by far better than anything I expected. In two weeks' episode should be really interesting with Baltar on trial. I mean the fleet splitting apart over fair v. revenge couldnt be more true to life. And what did Lt. Gaeta do that he has to hide so bad from his people? When can we get back to killing Cylons?
1/29/2007 2:56:31 PM
1/29/2007 5:52:23 PM
I think Lt. Gaeta is a cylon. He tipped Baltar off to the camera above his head with that OBVIOUS glance. He didnt' want Baltar to reveal too much, and then the pin in the neck 'just missing' the artery....well that seemed 'cylonesque'. He's also somewhat of a disposable character in that they can easily reveal he's a cylon by the end of the episode. They aren't turning a popular character like roslyn/starbuck/adama, etc. Also lucy lawless knew the '5th cylon' and Gaeta was one of the humans she knew from new caprica. I don't know, i think it could happen.
1/29/2007 7:42:15 PM
Another completely filler episode. Let's wrap this series up already if they don't have new shit to bring.
1/29/2007 7:43:00 PM
that was not a filler episode dude, you are fucking out of your mind. some people's expectations are retarded. If it isn't space fighting it's a 'filler episode'. Go take some adderal and actually WATCH ok?
1/29/2007 7:57:43 PM
The episode wasn't bad because it had a lot of character dev and no action, it was bad because it was repetitive, recycled shit:- Lee and Kara are torn between their spouses and each other- Baltar rationalizes the fuck out of everything so that its not his fault- The president is kind of bad assThe only new thing was how Baltar played Gata, but that was a total of 5 mins of material. The first time we saw these things, it was good. The 50th time, it's boring and tedious. Instead of being pretentious faggot, you can call a spade a spade. The writers create stinkers just like writers for any show. The true measure of filler: Remove it from the pantheon -- does it change the series in any way? No[Edited on January 29, 2007 at 8:13 PM. 1/29/2007 8:06:54 PM
Ouch, and I don't think I care that I got drunk and missed the episode now
1/29/2007 8:19:36 PM
^ no you should watch it. That guy is out of his mind it was a good episode. I for one am not ready to rush to the finish line just because i think they could wrap up all the unanswered questions in one or two episodes. Im enjoying the ride, if something is filler just because it wraps up existing storylines then you have literally no idea how a story arc works and less than any idea how tv story arcs work. And i know everyone has their own opinion but maybe some people's should be revoked.
1/29/2007 8:38:55 PM
1/29/2007 8:52:23 PM
I thought Baltar was trying to set up Gaeta. Like if he said some shit about him working two sides agains the middle and then whispered in his ear it would look suspicious to those watching on camera.
1/29/2007 8:58:48 PM
I also noticed the Galactica was looking beat up as hell on the outside.
1/29/2007 10:15:02 PM
yeah...i loved the exterior scene where galactica was scared up and banged up.Galactica is not Voyager, they can't get into fights every episode
1/29/2007 10:25:20 PM
1/29/2007 10:35:44 PM
1/29/2007 10:53:48 PM
at first I thought it was the same thing. But gaeda being bad also seems interesting.
1/30/2007 5:10:43 PM
Kainen, i was thinking the same thingi can not come up with another reason for those scenes to break off like they did and really didnt see geada or whatever go for the kill / i really didnt see that coming although, gaeda did almost shot Baltar when BSG was rescuing everyone from new capricathis was a bad ass episode...the entire baltar scene was excellent drama and tvi dont really give a crap about the story line love triangle but everything else rocked
1/30/2007 6:16:51 PM
Reasons for Gaeta being a cylon1. Noticed the device in the CIC but never said anything about it (miniseries)2. Wrote firewalls to protect against the cylon virus...they failed3. Discovered the picture that showed Baltar being a traitor was fake as soon as he repented to six4. In Colonial Day, Sharon (boomer) is dancing with Gaeta5. Gaeta touches Boomer before she shoots adamaReasons for Gaeta not being a cylon1. Usually controls Jump coordinates for the fleet, would have been very easy to send them into a trap.2. Giving info to the resistance on New Caprica3. Wanting to stop the suicide bombing because Baltar wouldn't be at the ceremony.
1/30/2007 6:29:10 PM
I really don't think Gaeta is a cylon. i dont really know why but I suspect the final 5 arent just normal hidden cylons on the fleet since the other Cylons dont even know who they are. There also has to be some significant connection between the final 5 cylons and the temple of 5 priests built by the 13th colony.
1/30/2007 6:43:45 PM
^ nice list of stuff ( I even forgot about the CIC device)But you have to remember, just because you are a cylon doesnt mean you explicitly know it and have total control and seperation from your human upbringing. You don't scheme so outright. It usually means you are more sympathetic toward the cylons for strange reasons you can't explain, and will blip toward actions that are impulse. At least it was that way with Boomer....I'd assume if Gaeta is one the same would apply. I doubt the remaining Cylons are in total subertfuge 'spy' mode....but i do think they make some questionable and 'above human level' decisions as a reaction from programming. It's more of a muddy more realistic confused neutral area b/c they were raised as humans and hidden/more important than your standard set of Cylons. Who knows...its confusing. I dont know, that doesnt even make sense I bet.[Edited on January 30, 2007 at 7:29 PM. Reason : dasf]
1/30/2007 7:27:23 PM
Something tells me that the remaining five cylons aren't hidden in the fleet. There's something obviously very different about them. If I had to guess, I'd say they left the other seven models due to deep divisions between their groups over the war with humans or the search for Earth.
1/30/2007 7:31:41 PM
^i like that theory. we know that the skin job cylons didnt come around until after the first war during the Armistice so maybe the final five seperated from the others at that time.
1/30/2007 9:24:32 PM
But That can't be right since the seven don't know what the five look like. If they can regenerate like that, they'd know exactly who the final five were.
1/31/2007 3:11:29 AM
^^ then how do you explain D'Anna Biers (lucy lawless) knowing one of the final five?
1/31/2007 3:28:24 PM
1/31/2007 5:04:54 PM
he means that she recognized one of the final five
1/31/2007 5:13:44 PM
bbehe did a good job with the breakdown on Geata: cylon or notbut
1/31/2007 5:31:38 PM
Even if some of the final 5 are existing characters that doesnt explain why the Cylons dont know who they are.
1/31/2007 5:44:49 PM
Kara's drawing = Kara is one of the final five?I dont like the final 5 being in the fleet either. Out of all the survivors, they make it to the fleet?blahWatch the old presidents aid be one of them, cause the actor wants back into the series.good episodesz0r.
