If you think that's overpriced, check out some of the hardly ads. Every fool thinks their custom crap makes a bike worth more. 90% of the time it will have a higher resale value if it's stock. They're the ricers of the motorcycle world. cept the harley guys have skill is modding their bikes and usually turn out great pieces of art.
3/15/2006 12:37:06 PM
they don have no special skill, it the rednecks and now yuppies who are willing to pay for the name. there are sportbikes that are pieces of art, but they still depreciate cause they be japanese, actually run after 10 years of abuse and dont leak oil. but again the beauty is in the eye of the beholder
3/15/2006 12:41:13 PM
http://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/142157734.htmlthat's a deal
3/15/2006 8:06:39 PM
wowthat'd make a great little ride
3/15/2006 8:24:43 PM
kyle if you can help me turn it into a streetfighter like yours was. I could hit that up. ^^
3/15/2006 9:06:18 PM
jeff would know more about these bikes, im assuming if u leave the rear fairing on, spray paint it flat black, along with the gas tank and throw a lil street fighter light on the front ull be set.lol i have a spare street fighter light that i bought for the r6 when i was fixing it. it's not going to be a street fight anymore, full fairings now so i'd let the light go for cheap.and u can see the fairing setup on ebay for cheap, jeff would buy a piece from you probs, he lost a piece hah, and he knows all about these lil f2's[Edited on March 15, 2006 at 10:10 PM. 3/15/2006 10:09:23 PM
the rear faring section can be held in place by zip ties, but you need small asian hands to go under the frame to wire it. Ghetto but it works.
3/15/2006 10:30:08 PM
lol i would just leave the full fairings on
3/15/2006 10:43:04 PM
atleast my rims are the same color
3/15/2006 11:54:43 PM
I coulda sworn I saw a '90 Suzuki VX800 on charlotte's craigslist last night... if only I had $2200
3/15/2006 11:59:26 PM
http://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/141693671.html yeah that
3/16/2006 12:21:47 AM
why are you going to leave the full fairings on i say cut of the back fairings or shave them off some. Sorta like what Igor did with the hawk. That would be pretty sweet then.
3/16/2006 9:08:45 AM
found this in baltimore http://baltimore.craigslist.org/mcy/141717650.htmllooks really good
3/16/2006 9:59:42 AM
Its a clean bike, but there are better deals then that. Besides its in MD, so you'll need to ship it or haul it back on a truck. This seems like another clean bike, but if he ran full synthetic in the break in period, would seem kinda stupid since I've heard that its not wise to do that until its properly broken in.http://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/142439089.html
3/16/2006 2:16:50 PM
^well right now i am living in Richmond doing a co-op so MD isn't that far away. the honda looks real nice, i just really want a gsx-r. And i don't have that much money...yet.if anyone would give me $7000 it would be really nice
3/16/2006 3:01:49 PM
^are u black gsxr lewlz i had a black mans gsxr once
3/16/2006 3:03:36 PM
no i am white...but my dick is blacki just like the look of the gixxer the best next would be an r6, rr, and ninja in that order. of "600 sportbike" class. and so i am looking to buy a 03-04 GSX-R 600 if anyone knows of one.
3/16/2006 3:15:03 PM
I got an 05 but its also in pieces.
3/16/2006 6:44:23 PM
That RR is a bit on the expensive side IMO. Price is average at best.
3/16/2006 10:23:06 PM
I wasn't saying it was a good deal, I was noting the full synthetic oil used in the engine
3/16/2006 10:44:52 PM
that cbr 600 for $1500 is gone
3/17/2006 9:49:31 AM
wow that was fast...
3/17/2006 9:50:33 AM
if dude took paypal i was gonna buy it this weekend if it was smooth
3/17/2006 10:13:52 AM
I was going to buy it, but then he said I couldn't test ride it until I put a battery in it, new plugs, and cleaned the carbs because it wouldn't start/run ok otherwise. Also, I did some reading and found out that bike weighs 460lbs
3/17/2006 11:02:19 AM
wow i would have loved to work on that bike too...damn what a shame
3/17/2006 11:08:53 AM

3/17/2006 12:05:09 PM
there is a 2003 ninja 250 for sale for $2000 near where i live (not raleigh) what do yall think about that bike?[Edited on March 17, 2006 at 12:34 PM. Reason : .]
3/17/2006 12:34:30 PM
250's are like 4000 new and usually its the same bike that were produced a decade ago. If you find a working old 250, grab that cause its no more special then the new one.
3/17/2006 12:41:09 PM
but who wants a 250?
3/17/2006 1:19:21 PM
grab a used 250 as a starter bike if you really are beginning... get a used 250if you have an idea of what you're doing, it may get old fast
3/17/2006 1:49:43 PM
Full list on a 2006 Ninja 250R is $2999. How much do you think that 2006 is worth after you ride it off the lot? I wouldn't pay 2g for used one unless I know the owner personally and he babies his bikes. I think $1400-1600 is a fair price for a stock 2002-2004 EX250 in good condition. A little more for excellent condition and low miles.
3/17/2006 5:53:44 PM
I wouldn't pay more than that
3/17/2006 6:22:35 PM
'05 Hayabusa 1300 for $5000 surely too good to be true, with only an IM acct to contact]

http://richmond.craigslist.org/mcy/143288813.htmlhahahahathe funny thing my buddy fell for one of thee not too long ago, traded in his old integra for it.the thing vibrated rediculously, made NO torque and had a ride inferior to even old russian pieces of shit ive owned. a week later his frame cracked while riding. then his rear drum brake literally exploded. then his ehaust fell off on one side. thing ran and looked like a piece of shit, but every bitch that saw it thought it was the hot shit because it had fairings and a racy paintjob, and every nigger thought it was fast cause it had dual exhaust. they didnt seem to notice the big SANYO sticker on the side. i thought sanyo made like cheap cd players. I just instructed the homeboy to tell everyone it's a Ninja. it was a total lollercoaster. it did have one cool feature and that was a remote start. shit be sittin outside, people walkin by, we be starting it from the balcony or playin with the panic button. no one expects that shit from a motorcycle. because of the remote start it had the wirdest shifting sequence, all up to downshift, all up to downshift, and after you click it down all the way into six, one more click would put it to neutral then into first.
3/22/2006 2:43:10 PM
lol
3/22/2006 3:55:50 PM
well at least it beats a Cyberhome bike
3/22/2006 4:04:27 PM
yea i saw that thing, and ridden it, it's horrible. and he kept saying my bike my bike, and its sure as hell is not a bike, it's more of a scooter on steroids. or scooter on estrogen....

how is that BS? Bike with broken transmission. If you know how to do it, that would be a good price. yamaha transmissions of those years were a bit crappy.
3/22/2006 8:59:45 PM
not a bad deal if you can do the work yourself.
3/22/2006 9:02:16 PM
No, I don't need another broken bike Igor
