That site is probably neutrally hosted by a bunch of providers. In large locations, cell providers will piggyback infrastructure to give better reception in dense areas.

Not really. Aside from still waiting for a couple of programs to be updated to 4.0, it's about the same as it used to be. I got Iconoclasm, Shrink, Winterboard, Five Icon Dock and Infinifolders working so I got back down to one page of icons, which, for some odd reason is really important to me. I'm still waiting for a decent theme to be released that includes high resolution icons cause any theme designed for the older phones just looks like crap now. Here's what I managed to cobble together thus far:

I haven't noticed any slowdown at all. Some people complain that after installing Infinifolders there is a delay when you try to open folders, but I don't even notice that.

I honestly have no complaints.

how do you guys discover apps to download?

i used to browse the app store every now and then looking for new stuff, but that was slow and tedious. i used to follow a few blogs that talked about apps, but the few of the apps were relevant to my interests

because of that, i rarely ever download apps anymore, which i feel is a shame, cus it's the largest app network, figured i should be getting my money's worth out of that

ran across this today, http://zoomappy.com/appstoregames.htm which helps browse and filter itunes huge catalog, but figured i'd ask how y'all find stuff too



for example, i just quickly found a couple dozen free kids apps, for both my iphone OR my ipad in like 10 seconds, and can sort them by ranking. i could never do that easily in the app store

I browse the app store. Compare apps with friends. Sometimes I google something I'm interested in to see if there is an app. I'd like to find some good tech podcasts. Only one I listen to now is Leo but I'm not a real fan of him. Looking for a good tech review podcast including software and hardware not necessarily just for iPhone.

How's that podcaster working for you qntmfred? He's got an update coming out today that should fix some feed issues relating to rss feeds with bad date formats.

It just clips on, doesn't go above the profile of the front and gets dust/dirt between the back and back of the phone. Anyone in Charlotte who wants it i'll let it go for like $10. I jailbroke my phone and I've been really pleased with it except now my calculator icon is missing. I put it in the sbsettings dock then deleted sbsettings after I decided it was worthless to me because I have no need to adjust any of those settings more than about once a year. Well ever since I deleted sbsettings the calculator icon is gone, any ideas on how I can get it back?

Does it still show up when you search for it with Spotlight?

I'd try installing Poof and seeing if the icon is just hidden.

There seems to be a bug with activator (installed with SBsettings and a bunch of other stuff) that cause the screen to flash before coming on when you press the sleep power button. So i press the sleep/power button and the screen flashes on then off then back on. It's annoying. Guess no SBsettings until that is fixed.

This is annoying because almost everything requires activator to be installed. No lockinfo or sbsettings.

Anyone else notice this bug? If you have activator/sbsettings installed. Turn on your phone using the sleep/power button. It flashes on/off then back on. I've seen this on 3 jailbroken iphone 4's already.

home screen. the time and weather change like they would on an android phone. the only problem is that the time doesn't flip as it changes.

Here's another example of a developer hiding something they weren't really supposed to in an app. This one isn't nearly as "damaging" as the guy that hid a the proxy software in the flashlight app. Something tells me Apple will still probably pull it though (if they haven't already).

I just put the HTC Hero theme on my iPhone and I'm missing the slider, and there is no icons next to "Phone".
