"

Thanks for the heads up!

To be honest, I never know what to wear with boots What are some good basic rules for boot fashion?

okay here's one of the new dresses that i got at nordstroms (ignore my stupid face )

ALSO

went and racked up $350 worth of alterations on my suits, jackets, pants and skirts because none of the clothes that i own fit me cause of the weight loss. which is super awesome

won't be shopping for a while, now that i'll have a ton of clothes, but the nordstroms half yearly sale was pretty fantastically awesome. i'll post a pic of the new suit once i try that one on.

No they do not but there is a general college goods store near Build-a-Bear that will probably have that hat.

^^ so cute It really emphasizes your waist!

Boots go with everything just throw on a cute top! I wear mine over my skinny jeans and lately I think they look really nice with leggings and maybe a long shirt clasped with a belt...AND i always wear them with skirts...

so I have NEVER bought a pair of boots for winter (i know, i know). I usually wear Sperry's, Birkenstocks or dressy shoes, but never any nice boots.

I've been wanting to get a pair and have been looking around. Should I go for the suede-type or leather (real, fake, i dont care)? Seems like the suede ones would be harder to keep up appearance wise, but I like that look better. Going to go for some grey or dark brown I think, and definitely with a slight heel.

depends on when you want to wear them. I like the suede look more, but when it's even slightly wet out I won't wear them. Also, when you scuff them (I tend to unwittingly knock my feet together when walking, thus scuffing my shoes), the suede ones are much harder to return to "normal" compared to the leather (or faux-leather) styles.

$10 off $20 at drugstore.com if you use PayPal with code 9h3b044c5f38691, and shipping is free if your order comes to $25 before the discount. I got 3 mascaras and 3 nail polishes for $15. And I had a PayPal balance of a few bucks so that came to like $6 out of pocket.

just a thought, but i bet the open back of that dress is going to make it extra squicky should some water run off your head...

[Edited on November 9, 2010 at 11:12 AM. Reason : weird, on the site the color was more taupe/tan]

^2 Hm, good thought... I'm wearing my hair down so hopefully the curls will catch any excess water and I don't know why the color looks so off on the website - it's not that light and imo makes the girl look all washed out in the picture

^ thanks Brandino... sad you can't be here but I understand

^Oh no! Was it a recent purchase? I've gotten several sweaters from there that have been great, but none have been purchased recently. I don't want to continue buying if their quality has gone down.

Anyone else here subscribe to Real Simple? I've had my subscription for years but I'm not going to renew it. The magazine has shrunken the content and it's become more about fashion than the recipes and homey goodness that I loved about it.

This is for you ladies that love Bobbi Brown makeup or wanna try it...

My girl is a faaaabulous artist at the counter at Saks Fifth Avenue (Triangle Town Center), and they are having a Holiday Glam Makeup Party on Wednesday (tomorrow) and Thursday 10-6pm

There will be pampering, fun & gifts for all. No pressure to buy, but you get to try out new colors or just have some fun with makeup.

They're my fav makeup line, so I'm excited to play!

Ok I'm done

I noticed that too last time I leafed through one at the bookstore. Tres sad.

There's always Martha Stewart Living! I don't know why I don't just subscribe to that magazine. Every time I look through it I find a bunch of cute ideas I want to steal

I think it is pretty ballsy....do it now, or do it when you're a mom of 3 kids and still trying to be hip.

Be sure to have a straightener, though. Otherwise, you'll look like carrot top. I think you should go for it. Dye it black, too.

I think you can pull it off if you do the upkeep. I'd have the stylist play with the layers over the ears/jaw though. You have an oval shaped face, while the model has more of a square jawline. you'll probably want that area to be less chunky and more layered.

But hen you'd have to pick a team... Edward or Jacob.

I just bought a weighted hula hoop off ebay. I have always wanted one (ever since I won the hula hoop portion of field day in elementary school) and I knew they were a great workout... but I just read that you can burn 600 calories an hour playing w/ one... and Helloo.... I'm there! I got to pick my size and colors (sparkly!) and everything.

Apparently it does, they have warnings that when you start you can't use it too long because of intense ab pain.

$24.99 including s/h. I think that's really reasonable.
