he's been committed to FSU for a long time. his recruitment is still open according to everybody - himself included. he may as well not be committed at this point.

about time we got a real recruiting guru up in here. tell us more about this Johnny Frasier fellow.PackGuitar not dmspack, obviously[Edited on January 22, 2015 at 5:35 PM. Reason : a]

People have been calling Frasier to State for about two months now. He's backed out of every visit (Bama and FSU) for the past couple months.
1/22/2015 6:10:25 PM
^so are we his last visit before NSD? that would be huge, i think
1/22/2015 6:13:49 PM
he's said we're the only other visit he's taking, so unless he adds one last minute (as mentioned before, he never took an OV to FSU), we're his last("only other" referring to Tennessee, who he visited on an official early last semester)[Edited on January 22, 2015 at 6:17 PM. Reason : a]

awesome...seems like we're in as good of a position with him as we could hope to be at this point.

it would be helpful if you'd always use full names in this thread, so people like me who only give it a cursory glance can easily google these people and see who they are.

James Ford

His full name and more info was just posted on the last page. Don't blame me if you just take random glances at the thread and can't bother with reading the previous posts.

And can you also do something about the music in here?

Frasier & Olenga commit to State
1/24/2015 7:52:17 PM
Olenga is #2
1/24/2015 7:58:39 PM
guessing that basically puts a wrap on Pack15, except for possibly replacing Zuniga (if he decommits) with another DL. heck of a class
1/24/2015 8:03:13 PM
Hey spencer what is olengas name and position? Thanks in advance
1/24/2015 8:03:40 PM
hell yeah! that's great. hope we can keep zuniga, but either way...hell of a class[Edited on January 24, 2015 at 8:08 PM. Reason : the reddest of lights]

So our RB options next year are Shadrach, Gallaspy and Frasier with Dayes & Hines getting touches at WR and RB?
1/24/2015 8:19:41 PM
Wow what a night
1/24/2015 8:21:54 PM
^^ don't forget about Samuels somewhere in the mix
1/24/2015 8:23:33 PM
Samuels? Also I would bet at least one of them won't be a RB.
1/24/2015 8:24:50 PM
Hines will be exclusively a WR/KR they said

The red light is on tonight!!!
1/24/2015 10:42:05 PM
Samuels is a fb/h-back, but he was the second best rusher on the team this year IMO.
1/24/2015 11:21:22 PM
Better than shad and dayes? Lmao...the wolf Web never fails. The dude had like 8 carries all season. Come on now
1/24/2015 11:26:52 PM
I'm sure the more carriers of the ball we have..the more creative Canada will be in getting these guys the ball. We saw signs of it w/ Samuels this past season. I think we'll see some crazy formations in the coming years.
1/24/2015 11:33:48 PM
yeah, i'm really interested both in how we line these guys up and how we spread out the touches. it would be nice to redshirt one of these backs just to space them out a bit, but not sure if that'll happen. Gallaspy seems like the best candidate but, as a bruiser, it sounds like he brings something to the table that the other guys don't (except for maybe Samuels, though like y'all said, not a traditional tailback)couldn't remember if Zuniga changed the date of his decision (supposedly still Monday) and while googling that, came across this tidbit, which makes it sound like we're fighting an uphill battle:
1/25/2015 12:48:33 AM
I like it...tell them they can play where they want. Then coach them into a position where they'll be successful.
1/25/2015 9:50:30 AM
^^well that quote doesn't sound too promising.[Edited on January 25, 2015 at 9:50 AM. Reason : arrows]
1/25/2015 9:50:39 AM
Dayes and Shad are both good RBs (I'm excited about Dayes' NFL chances) but the only times we'd hand off the ball to Samuels were on sweeps and he'd break a huge play almost every time despite not being a speed guy. Dude never went down on first contact. Would he average 10 ypc if we gave him the ball more than twice a game? Nah, but he's really goodThe Frasier commit has seemed inevitable but now that it's happened I'll give credit to this staff for putting together a good class. I'm still not sure what we're going to do with 7 RBs next year but if they're all studs it's hard to complain.
1/25/2015 10:35:35 AM
It seems like we've got a good, versatile group of RBs. They're not all the same. Hines is more of a slot guy from what I understand. Shad, Gallaspy, and Frasier are more of your traditional RBs, although their styles of running are different. Dayes can take handoffs, but he's also a huge pass catching threat. Samuels is more of a FB/TE. So it's not just that we have a lot of talent in he backfield...they all have different styles and bring different things to the table. Which has me optimistic about how they'll be used and how they'll all contribute.I mentioned Gallaspy redshirting earlier...but I forgot he enrolled in January. So with a 6 month head start on other incoming freshmen, I kinda doubt he'd redshirt. [Edited on January 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Reason : d]
1/25/2015 10:59:06 AM
Hines won't play RB for us. He might line up back there on gadget plays, but he's going to be working out of the slot and used on end-arounds. Think Pervy Harvin/Tavon Austin type college role.I trust Canada will have a lot of fun coming up with plays for all these guys. Thornton and Dayes will be the main backs next year, very good shot one of Gallaspy or Frasier redshirts. Hines will absolutely play next year.

It's possible Frasier redshirts actually. He comes from a really small town and his recruitment was kinda weird because he wasn't able to deal with the pressure of every school in the nation calling him 24/7. He also put on a ton of weight this past year (not Anya-style but went from typical HS RB to "big back"). I wouldn't be surprised if he needs a year to adjust.
1/25/2015 11:20:55 AM
sweet, Olenga is another Charlotte guy. How many have we gotten now? i guess he may be something of a replacement on the d-line if zuniga decommits (although de vs dt)?
1/25/2015 12:08:41 PM
Is stowbridge still in the mix?
1/25/2015 12:15:09 PM
1/25/2015 12:21:38 PM
Sounds like we're a long-shot for Stowbridge. But it also sounds like a 4* CB for 2016 out of SC might have committed today as well, but not sure that one is concrete yet.
1/25/2015 12:22:28 PM
Ok, I'm impressed now
