who gives a fuck about percentages and why are you focused on them?the margins are thin enough as it is and you’re a random dude on the internet asking another random dude on the internet about percentages that don’t matter in the least (other than your attempt at an online argument, so good job?)
1/7/2021 8:46:22 PM
What? You started the argument? I acknowledged the racism and gave a percentage, you said I was wrong. If you think the one I listed is wrong you must have an idea of what its rightMe: Obama did some things wrongYou: no it was racismMe; yes racism was primary at x% but these other factors matteredYou: no that % is wrong [Edited on January 7, 2021 at 8:51 PM. racism was the biggest factor on the margins and activism over the last 4 years was enough to overcome that margin which is why we’re in the position that we’re currently in
1/7/2021 8:54:39 PM
I said it was the biggest factor for the entire general election, you're only even saying it's the biggest factor on the margins so why did you come at me when I said 40-50%?? We basically agree?Like basically my argument comes down to whether or not a presidents actions have an effect on who people vote for. I say they do! [Edited on January 7, 2021 at 9:03 PM. and my argument is that enough racists were emboldened by a flagrantly racist candidate to put said candidate over the edge, entirely as reaction to the first Black presidentthe people who put Trump over the edge could give two fucks about Obama’s actions, other than being black[Edited on January 7, 2021 at 9:08 PM. I've seen that 10-15% of Trump voter previously voted for Obama. Seems like Clinton couldn't have won by keeping them in the tent. If Hilary matches Obamas vote count in she wins Iowa, PA, wisc and much.

Waking up this morning and seeing an article in my news feed titled “what’s in Biden’s 1.9 trillion emergency coronavirus plan” was a surprisingly good feeling. I didn’t read it, don’t know if I even agree with everything in the plan, but just the simple fact that there is actually a plan is such a huge difference and a credible move back towards normalcy

I love how Amazon pledged to help Biden with vaccine distribution.Where was Amazon the last year? Why wait for Biden? You're going to put your beef with Trump over American lives?
1/21/2021 6:57:39 PM
LOL! You think Trump would let Jeff Bezos look good on his watch? He was too busy with his own petty beef.
1/21/2021 7:16:29 PM
1/21/2021 7:23:38 PM
Regardless Biden should makes every effort to tell Bezos to go fuck himself and/or put some air tight worker protections in place. With bezos my first assumption is that he plans to volunteer his workers for dangerous front line work without any plans to give them appropriate choice or compensation. I'd love to be proved wrong!
1/21/2021 7:37:24 PM
And I have no doubt that Trump would have likely rebuffed Amazon. It's just the lack of reaching out that gets to me.
1/21/2021 7:46:20 PM
1/21/2021 7:49:57 PM
If you want to know why bezos does something, think about whether it more likely to help or hurt Amazon's stock price. I guarantee 99% of his actions have motivations no deeper than that. Especially now that Musk has passed him

Bezos is a sociopath who doesn’t give a fuck about anyone other than himself:https://www.businessinsider.com/jeff-bezos-amazon-how-much-donations-charity-2019-5

Creating incentives again to “not work”
1/23/2021 9:39:55 AM
I guess dangerous jobs will just have to pay people enough to incentivize it!Forcing people to work in unsafe conditions seems bad for anyone on any job at any time [Edited on January 23, 2021 at 9:55 AM. Reason : E]
1/23/2021 9:54:16 AM
But the free market will adapt, right? If a job is dangerous they will pay more for people to do it, AMIRITE?
1/23/2021 10:01:01 AM
When you make a post that dipped in sarcasm its tough to understand your true argumentBut yes if workers can quit an unsafe job and still get wages then the unsafe job will have to pay more or make the job safe[Edited on January 23, 2021 at 10:12 AM. Reason : I get yelled at even when I like Biden's policies, can't win lol]
1/23/2021 10:11:48 AM
How do you prove fear of being unsafe in light of this panemic. If you work anywhere indoors with another human, you could claim fear of Corona virus if you want to quit.
1/25/2021 8:42:00 PM
Seems like there are a few options1 govt stats out of it, let's companies define own safety protocols2 govt defines protocols and punishes companies that don't follow3 govt defines protocols and let's their workers get unemployment if they don't follow4. ??2 would get tons of "what about freedom" complaints, 3 let's them do what will but gives workers some protection Regardless, the idea that there a significant portion of people who'd rather not work than work is a right wing talking point used to attack social safety nets since they started. How many people do you think are eager to be on unemployment? I think the max benefit is about $12k a year?

I'm not paying close attention, but aren't a lot (most?) of the Executive Orders just undoing a lot of Trump's EOs?
1/28/2021 10:08:18 AM
I see people are bitching about executive orders again; I guess a Democrat must be back in the White House. I'm sure we'll soon see bitching about the national debt any day now, too.
