wade and lebron were amazing so this game may not have been winnable but vogul put them in a hard place by benching the entire front line for half of the 2nd and 4th quarters. That was Indy's only real advantage.

[Edited on May 20, 2012 at 6:05 PM. Reason : screw the nba for giving them an extra day off]

^ Now you're starting to get it.

Benching your good players is dumb.

Wade and Lebron were total monsters.

For Indy they can play Collison or Hill, they are both pretty solid and Collison has actualy been the better of the two in the playoffs I believe.

But playing three scrubs a combined 49 minutes is a problem. Hansborough, Barbosa, and Amundson are spot duty guys at best.

If Bird hadn't screwed up by trading Kawhi Leonard for George Hill the Pacers would have a pretty solid team, but as constructed they just aren't quite good enough to pull this off.

Paul George is really coming into his own he's going to be a monster. Tough shooting for him this series though.

Hibbert wasn't nearly as effective offensively this game, he has to contribute on both ends for them to be at their best.

lol, the twitter timeline for Hansborough's travelling is hilarious.

Even when parker has an off game they still win bc they get monster game out of green, neal, and splitter.

Team is just flat out tough. They are the clear cut favorites right now, but they have some young guys who might get nervous in a big game and they've got some vets who could wear down.

Will be interesting to see if they can win it, they haven't been tested by a good team yet though.

Big game for my 76ers and my Kobe tonight.

Kinda torn because I wanna see celtics vs heat. If 76ers lose I won't be too upset, particularly since I have them +1.5 and +170 and there's always game 6.

I keep forgetting Philly is still even in the playoffs. I'd probably forget Indy too if they weren't playing Bosh's team.

I still want to know what people want Kobe to do when the ball gets reversed to Kobe with less than 7 on the clock after Artest/Blake/Sessions can't find Bynum in the post (perkins fronting) or Gasol punks out and kicks it back out.

What is the play Kobe can make in that situation that people won't criticize him for?

[Edited on May 21, 2012 at 9:41 PM. Reason : fronting bynum changes the whole complection. ]

^ personally, I'd like to see him just stroll to the center jump circle, grab a microphone, and start freestylin' over a big KRIT beat. that would be pretty money. of course, he's probably too much of a snob to appreciate southern rappers, so we'll likely never see it...

We know Gasol has nothing to offer offensively, but it would be nice if he could slow down the scoring machine ibaka or at least keep him from dominating the offensive glass. Gasol's game has fallen off a cliff.

Just got done watching celtics on dvr. That was the worst 2nd half I've ever seen a team play haha.

Bass and stiemsma were huge in that game, with oneal and big baby the Celts don't win this series.
If stiemsma can get healthy the Celts can beat the heat, he's the key

Lakers just going through the motions. Really a shame to see Kobe get screwed over by Stern in one of his last great years.

Is sessions an NCSU alum? He just had his vintage NCSU first pass of the possession straight to the other team then a vintage NCSU stupid foul for the and 1.

Bynum literally just stands around on defense. No passion at all. Getting dominated on the boards by shitty players like Collison. If he'd play with an ounce of focus on defense he'd be a great player

Gasol is playing with effort but bless his heart Ibaka is just 10 times better in every aspect of the game.

[Edited on May 21, 2012 at 11:34 PM. Reason : gasol protecting the basket and on the boards all alone]

Spent 32 million dollars this year to get dominated inside by everybody they played

Faried- 1 million
Mcgee- 3 million

Perkins- 7 million
Ibaka- 1 million

Save maybe 2 games out of 12.

So basically that 32 million dollar frontcourt will win about 20% of the games you play. Thanks a lot Stern.

Kobe runined game 2 but was God-like in the last three games of this series. I don't want to live in a world where a Gasol-Bynum frontcourt gets outrebounded by 16.

In the 3 close games it was unfortunate that Kobe blew two of them.

I kill Lebron not for his lack of greatness but for his flaws considering his 3 time MVP status and likelihood of going down as one of the most decorated regular season players but just not stacking up with the all time greats. He is great but right now on paper he looks a lot better than Jordan, Magic or almost anyone. That is just misleading.

Lebron has been amazing at all times besides last year's finals. Basically I'm saying he's the worst best player ever.

[Edited on May 22, 2012 at 1:31 AM. Reason : he also has no dignity and does the decision and flops all over the court. ]

You have no fucking respect for the game. This clown goes out there and gets ZERO assists and you expect me to be impressed that they lost by 20 in game 5. He's a clown.

Let me know when someone puts up 42,18,8,2, and 2.

Your bullshit is getting old stop bringing your unfulfilled life ambitions into this thread and make a separate one.

No one wants to hear opinions from you after your finals pick (Memphis and Chicago) went out in the first round and your favorite teams (knicks and Kobe) won a total of 1 game outside the first round. Your four teams are done, go away.

Actually, give me your opinions on the next round first so I can profitably bet against your garbage analysis.

Yeah...that's a sick line, and it was 9 assists. Wade has 30, 9, and 6 and you don't even notice because of Lebron's numbers...and that happens all the time.

Only people that could have put up those stats were Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson. Lebron haters (hating his game, not the person) are just retarded.

Theres another stat that doesn't mean much without watching the game. He had assists if you watched the game people just couldn't finish them or super ibaka blocked them. You make it sound like he didn't pass the whole game.

What does this have to do with Lebron? Comparing him to Lebron's best game isn't fair. If that was the case every other player in the NBA is shitty. Lebron is a point forward. Kobe is a shooting guard. They are also playing against very different teams. I don't know why you can't admit that Kobe was amazing in the last three games.

Nobody can predict injuries, team chemistry and the emotional roller coasters some of these players go through. Every team has a new roster and anything can happen in the playoffs. Thats why they play the game. As a scientist, I rather pick the best team in the league (bulls) to win it all for the right reasons only to have them lose than to pick some shitty team (6ers) to advance and then have them get lucky and advance. Saying stuff like this is how I can tell you are not really a basketball person and just a betting man.

Well aside from one or two people no one IS hating his game. He's obviously one of the best ever. Right now he is Dan Marino, a QB who would probably be unanimously hailed as the best ever if not for one little thing. At least Lebron still has time to change that.

I hope he never wins though

He's still only 27 years old. How old was Jordan when he won his first championship...26? 27?

He's got plenty of time to get a ring. He'll probably have 3 or 4 by the time he retires.
