10/13/2012 12:17:45 AM
If only the Nationals had a dominant pitcher, one who is plenty capable of shutting down the opponent.
10/13/2012 12:23:16 AM
Hah Posey must have fucked that guys sister the night before. I almost can't believe the nats are going to lose this game, but then I can bc it's the cardinals

Now I REALLY don't care who wins the WS. Awful way to end an exciting week of baseball
10/13/2012 12:28:07 AM
10/13/2012 12:54:00 AM
Yeah, the Cards are one of the few teams that you can imagine pulling a stunt like this.
10/13/2012 12:54:27 AM
At least I don't have to hear Natitude again this year.Should have never let Teddy win.
10/13/2012 8:40:33 AM
10/13/2012 8:43:57 AM
all the teams worth pulling for lost in the ALDS. god damn it.
10/13/2012 9:37:21 AM
I guess I'll reluctantly be pulling for the Giants to win it allMaybe it can lead to some new Lincecum voicemail outgoing greetings
10/13/2012 12:47:43 PM
please don'tGiants fans are insufferable morons that don't even watch the game. While it's a lovely stadium, the game day experience at AT&T park consists of Giants fans playing with their iPads and sipping on overpriced chardonnay. They're like UNC fans but without any of the success or tradition to back up their incessant bragging. Oooooh you won a world series in 2010? What a storied franchise!
10/13/2012 2:06:26 PM
they sell wine at UNC games???
10/13/2012 2:09:35 PM
^^i don't want to pull for the Yankees or Cardinals, they each already have enough WS'sand i'm not gonna pull for a team in the Twins divisionso that only leaves the Giants
10/13/2012 2:25:01 PM
just stop watching baseballit was good up until now
10/13/2012 2:26:43 PM

10/13/2012 2:27:34 PM
and yes, I'm bitter as fuck.I'd pull for Detroit to validate our loss, but that's like congratulating the dude who'd been fucking your wife and wishing them a happy marriage
10/13/2012 2:29:26 PM
10/13/2012 4:40:38 PM

10/14/2012 1:14:38 AM
Damn I am surprised that resulted in a fracture for Jeter. Watching it live it did not seem like much. Oh well fuck the Yanks go Cards and Tigers. Rematch of another crappy WS.
10/14/2012 11:40:42 AM
That was the same foot he's fouled a few balls off recently. So it was probably weak.[Edited on October 14, 2012 at 11:48 AM. Reason : .]

^^It would be laughable if he wasn't so sincere in his newly found belief. I'm so sick of baseball apologists and old school "baseball purists" allowing the game they supposedly love to go to hell in a handbasket. There are so many easily fixable issues with baseball but they won't budge because they'd rather mindlessly follow tradition than improve the product on the field.I enjoy baseball, as a kid I absolutely loved it and adored it. Up until I ruined my arm it was by far the sport I was best at, but I've watched this sport get worse, and worse and the folks running it grow more disconnected from reality. Even now despite all its flaws I still love baseball.Last night's Packers vs. Texans game pulled a 6.9 rating to baseball's 1.9 head to head. That's regular season week 6 game vs. a postseason baseball game. That's pathetic. In fact, Saturday's Yankees vs. Tigers baseball game drew the same as the Notre Dame vs. Stanford game, a game which had significant competition and was on during the day instead of being an 8pm start like the baseball game.Baseball is just about to the point of irrelevance with the 18-34 demographic. If they don't do something soon they're going to be on the same level as hockey in terms of sports relevance.

Dirty slide by Holladay, ought to bean him next time

If they don't attract more of the younger demographic the long term health of the game is in serious jeopardy. The only hope they have is in pushing it towards the growing hispanic audience, and they aren't even doing a good job of that, despite the baseball culture that exists in so many spanish speaking countries.
10/15/2012 9:46:18 PM
another angle fwiw
10/15/2012 10:02:53 PM
Scutaro...the guy hit on the slide out of the game in the 6th probably b/c of injury
10/15/2012 10:08:39 PM

10/15/2012 10:11:45 PM

10/15/2012 10:20:57 PM
Lol at these umps
10/15/2012 10:56:26 PM
wow, bad call there, hope the giants don't score from that....even though i'm pulling for themnot sure if he's suppose to or not, but the home plate umpire should've been going towards first on that play knowing that's where the ball was going...should have had a good angle on the call[Edited on October 15, 2012 at 10:58 PM.
