Josh Freeman at MinorCam Newton vs GB
9/15/2011 3:35:06 PM
I'd actually say Newton. Carolina will have trouble running, so he will need to pass often.
9/15/2011 3:36:21 PM
Pick 3 WRs:Mike Williams (TB) @ MINHakeem Nicks vs STLPercy Harvin vs TBHines Ward vs SEA Gotta go with the first 3, right? (assuming Nicks is heathly)Also, my league has a head coach spot. I have ATL. They win I get +3, they lose I get -3. It's probably best to just bench them this week vs PHI, right?
9/15/2011 4:36:16 PM
^^ you realize Green Bay has a tremendous defense?yes, I know Brees threw on them, but its brees...Id go with Freeman.theres no way Cam has a week like he had last week. Not to mention Woodson and Matthews will be making his life hell.
9/15/2011 4:38:50 PM
Nicks plays MNF so he could fuck you. Go with the other three unless he's assured of playing before one o'clock Sunday. And the head coach deal is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.
9/15/2011 4:39:42 PM
^Yeah I hate the HC roster spot. And the league has a season acquisition limit of 25, so that makes it difficult to play matchups with the HCs and just pick up whoever is playing a scrub team.
9/15/2011 4:56:23 PM
I know GB has a hell of a defense, but I also know that GB is going to score... a lot. So I'm thinking Cam is going to have to throw the ball.
9/15/2011 5:42:56 PM
up to you, but I'd start Josh Freeman. just because Cam is going to have to throw the ball alot doesn't mean he's going to throw for completions. he might rack up alot of negative points. the cardinals defense is atrocious and i don't trust a rookie on the panthers to produce week in and week out against elite defenses.with that said, I'm going to the panthers game this weekend and hope I'm wrong [Edited on September 15, 2011 at 6:21 PM. Pick 1 flex:Mark Ingram vs chicagoEarl Doucet vs wshMalcolm Floyd vs pats
9/15/2011 6:38:49 PM
^have a hard time starting Doucet after just one week, so it's down to either Floyd or Ingram. I would go ahead and take the Ingram gamble this week.Would would you use as a flex this week? (16-team PPR):Collie vs. CLEMoore vs. CHID. Thomas vs. HOUBreaston @ DETHardesty @ INDProbably gonna plug in Collie, but I may take a chance on Moore if he is active.
9/15/2011 6:55:30 PM
I would play anyone on that list above Collie. Collie is borderline dropable at this point. He is the 4th receiving option on a run-first team. He didn't record a single catch last week and was only on the field for 2/3 of the colts offensive plays. I wouldn't start him until Collins proves he can manage the offense.I would go with Lance MooreAndddd I just realized I spewed out all thr same info that was on the last page. 9/15/2011 8:53:06 PM
^^I heard Collie's role will be minimal this week. May want to go with Moorepick 3 WR's. one slot is a WR/TEAaron Hernandez Chad OchocincoBrandom MarshallBraylon EdwardsNate Burleson Julio Jones
9/15/2011 10:12:27 PM
i like drafts that happen after week 1, it's fun seeing how some people will bump or drop players after 1 game^marshall, julio, hernandez[Edited on September 15, 2011 at 11:31 PM. Reason : ^]
9/15/2011 11:31:01 PM
My fiancee has Eli Manning and Donovan McNabb. Ouch. Does she start one of them or pick up Grossman or Collins?
9/15/2011 11:59:18 PM
I'd certainly start Eli over McNabb. STL are without their 2 starting CBs. But I'd strongly consider picking up Grossman. If Newton can put up 400 yards on the Redskins, I think Grossman throws for at least 300. I dropped McNabb for Grossman in one of my leagues. At the pace McNabb is going, he won't be the starter by mid-year.
9/16/2011 7:50:09 AM
what is everyone's feeling on Hakim Nicks? I have him in multiple leagues, and my backup options aren't ideal...in one league I have Jacoby Ford, Cribbs, and Mike Thomas (Jax) - we get return yards so cribbs can get some points there, and he is playing against a weak Indy. Ford is banged up, and Thomas is going against the Jets, so I think I gotta play Cribbs... yuck!in the other, I just picked up McCluster (and dropped jonathan stewart) who I plan on starting over Collie (who i just can't bear to drop), Knox, and AJ GreenAm I making the right calls? In either league should I risk Nicks playing on Monday? Or do any of you have different guys on my bench who you would play?
9/16/2011 11:28:39 AM
ESPN updates their weekly rankings to include Nicks, so that may be a good sign. I am in the same boat. I have to pick 2 of Nicks, Smith(car), Bryant, and Nelson.
9/16/2011 11:50:06 AM
I don't think Nelson is going to have as good a game- and neither will Smith (going against a much better defense which is going to really put the pressure on Cam)I'd play Dez Bryant and Nicks if I could, but keep an eye on it, with the option to throw in Smith if it looks questionable
9/16/2011 12:14:14 PM
I'm probably going to roll the dice with Nicks playing (I have shitty replacements). If I have to pick up Hixon or a STL receiver, so be it. Bradford needs a new target now that Amendola is out, so who knows, might get lucky.
9/16/2011 12:32:44 PM
Sims Walker could have his breakout game there, and he is available in a lot of leagues.... speaking of which....
9/16/2011 12:36:36 PM
Jeremy Maclin @ Atl orNate Burleson vs. KC
9/16/2011 1:13:54 PM
i like Burleson after seeing what the bills did to KC
9/16/2011 1:17:50 PM
SD defense or Giants D?Mark ingrahm or cadillac or ben tate?
9/16/2011 3:30:18 PM
Giants and CadilacPlaying the Chargers D this week would just be silly
9/16/2011 3:42:41 PM
I'm struggling with dropping Collie as well because of QB situation, but another dude in the league is actually benching Reggie Wayne?
9/16/2011 3:47:00 PM
thats what i want to do but the rams are playing the giants so i dont want to negate points...might go with tate and the giants d...was at SD vs. NE game last year and the pass defense was fairly impressive but it looks like NE is cooking with gas this year in the passing game
9/16/2011 3:48:36 PM
Who should I start as my 2nd RB, be prepared all these options are garbage:CJ SpillerDexter McClusterJerome HarrisonOr should I start Steven Jackson and hope he plays.
9/16/2011 3:51:36 PM
^McClusterNeed 2 out of:Bradshaw vs. St LouisJones Drew vs. JetsHightower vs. ArizonaI still cant decide on this one.
9/16/2011 3:59:42 PM
9/16/2011 4:02:00 PM
Should I roll without a TE this week if Marcedes Lewis is out; or look at dropping someone on my bench to pick up the best available? Last year I kept wanting to change my team around and had to be convinced like every week not to. "Are you winning?" "Yes." "Then why change what's working?"
9/16/2011 4:13:20 PM
Drop CollieTaking a voluntary 0 for any position is crazy, especially in week 2[Edited on September 16, 2011 at 4:17 PM. Reason : Why the hell would you need 7 WRs anyway?]
9/16/2011 4:16:21 PM
The fuck. Why the hell DO I have 7 WRs?! I guess I picked up Hines Ward and Lee Evans with the intention of grabbing McCluster or some other swiss army or RBs to fill spots once I figured out who to keep.^One could argue that say, during a bye week the voluntary 0 from your K or TE outweighs dropping someone on your bench to pickup what might only end up as 3 points.Or worse, negative points.[Edited on September 16, 2011 at 4:21 PM. Reason : ]
9/16/2011 4:19:13 PM
Just drop your kicker and pick up anotherNo kicker is worth keeping on their bye week
9/16/2011 4:33:28 PM
that look good? or would you change anything on it?
9/16/2011 4:39:42 PM
I'd swap Tolbert for BGE and Britt for Wayne, but they're close enough where its more of judgement call than a no brainer
9/16/2011 5:06:24 PM
Yeah im thinking of sticking Tolbert there.I dunno about Kenny Britt, dude always has been a ? for me.Wayne got it done last week...but so did Britt, could be a toss up.I will wait till Tomorrow and decide on those I suppose.
9/16/2011 5:14:08 PM
tom brady and beanie wells for joe flacco and lesean mccoy?
9/16/2011 5:22:07 PM
^yes- we know you are a die hard Flacco homer, so fulfill your fantasies... (in all honesty, I wouldn't, but that is just me)
9/16/2011 5:37:29 PM
you get brady or give brady?if you GET him then yes...if you are giving him up and are that dumb...NO
9/16/2011 5:37:40 PM
nah, I'd be giving him up, I was pondering sending the offer back also asking for a first round pick next year
9/16/2011 5:42:22 PM
whatever then.the dude will prolly end up winning the league and you will have the last pick.i wouldnt do it. but if you suck off Flacco then go ahead.
9/16/2011 5:45:12 PM
lol the same guy just offered me (his) dallas clark and pierre thomas for (my) Reggie Bush and Mike Thomas (Jax)
9/16/2011 5:48:41 PM
BAAAHAHAHA and saps made the trade and gave away a round 1 pick and got a round 13 pick... what a dingus
9/16/2011 5:55:46 PM
Saps... wtf?Brady and Wells AND a 1st round pick for Flacco and McCoy?
9/16/2011 5:57:09 PM
i bet he just threw something whereever he is[Edited on September 16, 2011 at 5:58 PM. Reason : threw]
9/16/2011 5:57:52 PM
sorry I thought it was what was I asking for, not what I was offering, never traded draft picks before/wasn't paying full attention
9/16/2011 6:06:53 PM
he sent you a trade to fix it... accept it
9/16/2011 6:09:16 PM
that was fun to watch
9/16/2011 6:12:00 PM
hahaha wowwwwwwwsaps, dont do it anyways.
9/16/2011 6:24:06 PM
league is 2 qb, 2 d/st with upped points for D and has PPR & pts for return ydsOffering Ryan Mathews (I'm deep at RB), Devin Hester & Vikings D for Jets D. I feel like I'm offering too much, but would be surprised if Mathews or Hester started for me unless I have a rash of injuries. So I'm losing a little depth, but getting another 10 or more points a week by the D/ST upgrade[Edited on September 16, 2011 at 9:32 PM. Reason : 2]
