Haha, well shit I guess if threads in sports talk didn't revolve around frats and party scenes I would've seen that[Edited on April 27, 2011 at 7:40 PM. Reason : asd]

If Harrow can't handle NC State fans Kentucky is definitely the wrong place for him
4/27/2011 8:20:21 PM
anyone watch CJ. i was impressed. Looks like he's maturing
4/28/2011 8:22:59 AM
4/28/2011 9:50:44 AM
I remember him being WAY worse than 25% from the arc...
4/28/2011 9:58:30 AM
Clearly, you remembered wrong. Giving talented players the green light to shoot the ball and make plays is important, especially for a new coach coming in. It shows Leslie that coach has confidence in him(whether it's warranted or not) and can only help matters at this stage.Leslie clearly wants to develop an outside shot if he wants to have any success in the NBA. Who knows, maybe he'll work hard on it during the off-season and get his 3pt% up around 30% or so. If a player like Leslie can just present the slightest threat to drop a 3 on his defender, then it just makes him that much more of a mismatch. Having said that, I'm sure if he continues to be abysmal from the arc that Gottfried will reel him back in.
4/28/2011 11:18:05 AM
Hey, anytime you can have a 25% shooter taking more 3's, you've gotta do it.
4/28/2011 11:24:59 AM
I thought he took way more than 28 threes. Maybe it's because almost every one he took stood out so much because they were fucking horrible shots.I mean...if he can improve his shot, then by all means, take more shots. It's not like our big men have never improved the outside shot....HELLO KENNY INGE....
4/28/2011 11:44:11 AM
actually, they weren't all ill-advised shots. but a lot of them were.
4/28/2011 12:00:12 PM
Hmm, I was one of Leslie's biggest advocates last year, and even the ones he made seemed ill advised.
4/28/2011 12:06:29 PM
i think the only problem with leslie was that he looked hesitant when he took them, like "i know i shouldn't do this, coach is gonna be on my ass, but, im wide open". You could tell he had like a thought-moment as he was shooting. We need more than Scott Wood to be a threat, which will actually open up Wood more if there's someone else on the team (not saying it has to be Leslie of course).
4/28/2011 12:17:49 PM
Isn't Tyler Harris supposed to have a good outside game? I could have sworn I read that he was one of those guys who grew late, and as a result was a shooter that grew in to a bigger body. With both him and CJL working inside and out, we could have a pretty dynamic offense next year.
4/28/2011 12:41:53 PM
The only reason the ones he made seemed ill advised is because we were so caught up in our mindset that he shouldn't take them at all.We all went, "Leslie! What are you Thi-... Oh, ok, good shot I guess. But don't do it anymore!"If he had made 3 more threes last season, he would be at 30% which is close to average for non-snipers behind the arc. I don't have a problem with him taking the shot if, 1. he's open and,2. We've at least tried to play some offense
4/28/2011 1:12:01 PM
Good pointIf he were a better three-point shooter, he would definitely be a better three-point shooter
4/28/2011 1:16:09 PM
4/28/2011 1:23:31 PM
If he had made 3 more threes last season, he would've shot and missed 9 more to keep his percentages the same[Edited on April 28, 2011 at 1:25 PM. Reason : x]
4/28/2011 1:25:48 PM
4/28/2011 1:34:18 PM
If the dude gets his 3 ball going, he could be a better version of jordan hamilton.
4/28/2011 1:36:51 PM
My point was not that if he were a better three point shooter that he'd be a better three point shooter... It was that his numbers aren't that horrible
4/28/2011 1:53:17 PM
I think that you made a great point
4/28/2011 1:56:37 PM
I think you made three great pointsUnlike CJ Leslie
4/28/2011 1:57:48 PM
:-/
4/28/2011 2:02:46 PM
4/28/2011 3:01:19 PM
The reason the 3-point percentage is higher than most think it should be is he took a lot of long range 2s that you might group in the 3s. However, after yesterday's press conference, he seemed more mature and I think he will be much much better this coming year.
4/28/2011 3:39:38 PM
4/28/2011 3:56:11 PM
After watching videos of Gottfrieds offense back when he was first hired, I don't think CJ is often going to be in a position to take a 3 honestly. He will either be on the high post at the free throw line or on the weakside block in half court sets. He may have a green light, but that doesn't mean he is going to get many opportunities.
4/28/2011 4:01:15 PM
This isn't about Leslie, but where is the Harrow news supposed to go?
4/28/2011 4:01:32 PM
Keep in mind that all of this hate is normal after someone leaves and establishment.
4/28/2011 6:40:59 PM
I don't hate Harrow I wish him well. I am pissed that he bailed on us and left us in a tough spot, but he's gotta make the decision thats best for him.He wasn't an ACC caliber starting PG last year, that much is clear. It seemed like he might develop into one but it wasn't a certainty or anything.
4/29/2011 11:57:08 PM
Since a missed 3 pointer usually turns into easy points for the opponent, you have to shoot better than 33% from 3 in order for that to be a positive play for us.Or we could rebound better.
4/30/2011 2:34:08 AM
i'm all for optimism, but this guy is retarded:
5/3/2011 12:00:14 PM
Exact same thing all of us were saying 12 months agoHe's speaking in relative terms, not absolutes, which seems to be the preferred method off TWW's worst posters
5/3/2011 12:02:46 PM
his article contradicts itself!he's all "Leslie was selfish and only concerned with his own skills in his presser"then he's all "Letting Leslie 'do his thing' they'll be top 4 and get a good NCAA tourney seed!"
5/3/2011 12:06:28 PM
ruh roh
5/10/2011 3:42:30 PM
well, i guess we know why UNC was not a good fit for him. but seriously, [facepalm]

“You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known. I don't like gay people and I don't like to be around gay people. I'm homophobic. I don't like it. It shouldn't be in the world or in the United States.”
