what is this Bradley effect everyone is speaking of

Pakistan is (supposed to be) one of our allies.
10/7/2008 11:19:40 PM
^^ but, what if you have nucular weapons?
10/7/2008 11:20:10 PM
Strictly speaking, mcaain's rules about "telegraphing punches" are not holy edicts that should be unquestioned. I frankly don't see why either candidate has to be against the other on the pakistan border thing in the real world. In campaign world, Obama is taking the position to look tough. Mccain is taking the position just to differentiate himself somehow from obama.I personally would favor acting autonomously to get Osama, but both approaches to Pakistan and bin laden can work.
10/7/2008 11:20:41 PM
to sum up everything I hear that comes out of Obama, I have came to one conclusion that I agree with..."We don't have time for on the job training" - McCain, couldnt have said it better
10/7/2008 11:21:52 PM
I think Obama came off as more of a "realist" in this debate compared to McCain, who started all his responses with some "well, i want to do what's right for the american people" bullshit.

Stop the Presses!!per CNN Obama is Black!

most of the polling is done on land lines, which means most young voters are not reflected in the pollsdamn, this thread moved fast.. i was referring to someone on the last page[Edited on October 7, 2008 at 11:27 PM. Reason : THAT ONE]
10/7/2008 11:26:33 PM
Yeah, I don't believe my place has a land line. If so, my roommates haven't mentioned it.

None of it really matters, but I thought McCain won tonight. His answers were more thoughtful and i thought he did a good job of making the case that Obama's foreign policy views really do sound naive. Either way this won't win him any states and probably won't change the fact Obama is the next President. Hoo-ray. I'm going to bed.[Edited on October 7, 2008 at 11:32 PM. Reason : ``]

i can play the media bias game toofox news pollmccain 86obama 14"mark it zero dude"mccain 2obama 0
10/7/2008 11:32:51 PM
10/7/2008 11:36:02 PM
^^was that an online poll on a conservative website, or was that a "a nationally representative poll of uncommitted voters" like CBS held that showed Obama as the winner?
10/7/2008 11:38:29 PM
^neither are worth shit.
10/7/2008 11:43:07 PM
i didnt really like this debate...was at work and tried to keep up but it was so boring
10/7/2008 11:44:45 PM
I thought it was pretty even, but I'd give a slight edge to McCain, mostly because Obama went over a lot of the time. Most of their points I've heard before or read in blogs. It'll be interesting to see what the independent analysts have to say about some of their points. And McCain said "my friends" way too much[Edited on October 7, 2008 at 11:47 PM. Reason : .]
10/7/2008 11:45:38 PM
i counted at least 3 times obama said "number 1"
10/7/2008 11:46:28 PM
but tha polls are made by them scientusts??!?!
10/7/2008 11:47:06 PM
10/7/2008 11:47:59 PM
yeah thats like 3 straight times someones said something like that and then the fox news poll actually say the opposite
10/7/2008 11:48:48 PM
but fox news is the most biased shit ever, you cant trust their polls considering you all say you cant ever trust anything from them ever, why start now[Edited on October 7, 2008 at 11:49 PM. Reason : rednecks]
10/7/2008 11:49:26 PM
10/7/2008 11:51:15 PM
Hahaha. Here come the poll deniers to McCain's rescue.

you guys talk shit about mccain all night but when i offend the dalai bama i'm a trollfuck off already you hypocrites

More from the CNN snap poll:

it's so neat to. Have such real time objective evidence of total domination available to us.
10/8/2008 12:00:45 AM
42,000 people who watched the debate on foxnews ... 42,000 registered voters essentially....the cbs poll of "uncommitted voters" are also the most likely to NOT VOTE in the electionHOWEVER

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WI0iIOqPGakMcCain denies Obama's handshake
10/8/2008 12:01:51 AM
^^ yeah youre right...mccain is SOOOO gonna win^ it did look like mccain was just trying to "introduce" him to his wife. but its pretty obvious that mccain REALLY dislikes obama...so it could have been a snub/partial snub]
10/8/2008 12:03:26 AM
I just read on a blog that they did shake hands, the camera just didn't catch it.
10/8/2008 12:03:31 AM
Keep clinging to that
10/8/2008 12:04:06 AM
looks to me like obama dissed mccainmccain patted obama on the back to initiate contact, first suggested he greet his wife, then mccain takes 2 seconds to wave to someone yelling at him and obama walks awayMCCAIN DISSES OBAMA
10/8/2008 12:06:04 AM
Who, me? I'm not clinging to anything, just trying to get the facts straight. Obviously some commenter on a blog isn't authoritarian, but I don't want to start shit where there might not be any.
10/8/2008 12:07:32 AM
wow; i guess this is why they call it politicswho cares if they don't like each other; they both have been slinging mud for weeks about each other and are very opposite on many issues. would it not be natural to assume they maybe don't like each other? don't understand this country. we can't stand everyone famous for being so politically correct all the time and using "coachspeak" or whatever you want to call it and not say what they truly feel. then if someone ever says or does something that is not what you would expect everyone flies off the handle calling the person whatever for that situation. they don't like each other and maybe didn't want to shake hands before the debate. who really cares?
10/8/2008 12:09:44 AM
historical voting tendencies do not favor obama on election dayim sure obama's local affiliates in every district will be organizing mass transportation or bussing for black voters in predominantly black regionsif the grassroots supporters can manage that in the swing states, and actually get the registered minority voters to the booth, than its over for mccain IMO
10/8/2008 12:10:14 AM
10/8/2008 12:10:56 AM
83 percent of people thought mccain was prepared for the job??
10/8/2008 12:12:02 AM
^if theres one thing mccain definitely has over obama its experience[Edited on October 8, 2008 at 12:13 AM. Reason : *i'll await people to bash this comment as being biased as fuck*]
10/8/2008 12:13:36 AM
^yeah but it is experience in a dirty government ran by GWB and mccain loves bush in every way so his experience is actually a negative
10/8/2008 12:16:15 AM
obama was in the same dirty government
10/8/2008 12:16:53 AM
obama rose to power through the oversight of the most corrupt political machine in our nations history ...dead people voted for kennedy ... voter fraud tactics is just another chapter in the Mayor Daley handbook guide to politics
10/8/2008 12:26:49 AM
do you realize how silly that sounds?
10/8/2008 12:28:44 AM
10/8/2008 12:29:14 AM
More people though Obama won because... drum roll... he is a nice big charismatic smile. Ahh I love politics.
10/8/2008 12:29:32 AM
i for one love john mccains temperament lol
