Some kid did that to me playing online a few days ago, after he intercepted it. I put down the headset and could still hear him laughing through it.

NCSU - 21CU - 24NC State dominated Time of Possession but came up just short as Clemson hit a 30 yard field goal with 3 seconds left. The Wolfpack's last ditch effort just went over the outstretched hands of Donald Bowens on the goal line, allowing the orange clad Tiger fans to breathe a sigh of relief.Clemson only attempted three passes all of which were complete for 73 yards and one touchdown. The real damage was done on the ground where CJ Spiller amassed 184 yards on 16 carries and 2 touchdowns. NC State had no answer for the speed that Spiller demonstrated, oftentimes looking as if they were standing still. For the Wolfpack, Daniel Evans went 20 for 26 with 246 yards and two touchdowns. Evans also threw one very costly interception in the Red Zone that halted what could have possibly been a scoring possession. Bowens had seven receptions for 129 yards, with a hail mary catch at the end of the first half that saw him stopped on the one yard line.Tom O'Brien seemed pleased with his team's effort in a game in which the experts had seen NC State as being overmatched. "The extra effort the team put into practice this week showed through the effort they exhibited on the field. They left it all out there. It was a tough game to lose, but hats off to Clemson for coming with a game plan and executing perfectly," O'Brien said after the game.NC State travels back to Raleigh to face the East Carolina Pirates in the upcoming week while Clemson stays at home for the fourth week in a row to face FCS Southeast.

yeah, no way I would have got that all the way back, CPU just runs the fuckers in a straight line haha
7/21/2008 1:59:04 AM
"often times looking as if they were standing still"lol, does ea servers come up with this stuff? omg the slants to andrew evans. I didn't think your offense would ever get off the field
7/21/2008 1:59:22 AM
haha I wrote that thank you because that is how I felt. But for real, it was a great game, and I executed everything I wanted to in that game, I just came up short in the long run. Makes me feel better about my chances in other games though. It was a great game and I enjoyed playing against you even if I lostOh and I saved a few replays, that I will upload when I have more time...[Edited on July 21, 2008 at 2:02 AM. ^^ I wasen't making fun of it, I thought it was pretty good lol I didn't think there was anyway ea could generate an article like that.
7/21/2008 2:06:44 AM
oh haha...I wasn't really upset, but I like writing things like that, it makes me forget about the pain of the loss http://www.easportsworld.com/en_US/video/4813124 yarder to open scoring from Evans to Bowens...I also saved the Spiller 40 yarder, the INT, the Onside Kick, and the Field Goal to win... I will upload those tomorrow
7/21/2008 2:09:59 AM
how do you do onside kicks? I have no idea what I am doing on them... do you let the power ball go all the way up (like a max strength "on side kick") or is that the same power bar as before where you would want a "10% regular kick"? and I usually put the cross hair up in the upper corner to try to hit down on it to make it skip and jump but it never works
7/21/2008 2:11:59 AM
I put the crosshairs at the top and then kick with like 50 -66 % power...I have gotten 2 out of the three I have done in games I have played...whether against the computer or human..

I think with the weekly previews, a different person can just do the whole thing every week, instead of breaking it up by sectionI'm not going to do the whole thing every time...I'm a Slave in name onlyFor the next week it will be guitarguy's turn...he hasn't participated in this thread at all and this will be a good chance for him to get involved
7/21/2008 4:17:02 AM
Well, Al Groh and his 1-1 Virginia Cavaliers have made it to East Hartford, Connecticut for their noon kickoff against the UConn Huskies. Coming off a 9 win season in 07, the cavs look to get on the right side of .500 this week.
7/21/2008 11:03:48 AM
lol upload that 40 yard spiller run.be very afraid...
7/21/2008 11:12:48 AM
ha. I should've saved his 73yd run against me. He's just too damned fast to the outside and the defenders never take the correct angles to make the tackle.
7/21/2008 11:16:12 AM
they do if the cpu controls them, If the player takes control they run straight towards the sideline and inevatively, behind spiller.
7/21/2008 11:20:45 AM
so whats the status on the league advancing? i've got a bye week so havent been paying attention since i already did my recruiting...how many more people need to play games or do recruiting? does it seem like we'll be able to advance the week tonight?
7/21/2008 11:58:06 AM
I ask the last person to finish up their week to post in here or send me a pm so I will know to move onIts a lot easier for me to check on here than fire up the xboxand if its during the day, I may have to wait until that night to move it alongespecially if I have to travel that day
7/21/2008 12:00:21 PM
FSU still needs to play their game, Maryland needs to play their game and recruit, Miami needs to recruit, Virginia needs to recruit and Wake Forest needs to recruit.

Final:Virginia- 20UConn- 7Mikell Simpson carries his cavaliers to a 20-7 victory with 29 attempts for 142 yds and 2 TD. The cavs pounded the ball on the ground and held the T.O.P advantage 13:46 to 6:19. Brandon Woods(UVA) comes up big in the 1st quarter with an interception in the endzone following a Simpson fumble. Overall, Al Groh is pleased with his team's effort but would like to see the turnover problems solved. UVA now moves to 2-1 overall and has an off-week to prepare for their trip to Wallace Wade to face the Duke Blue Devils who are eye-popping 3-0. good looking recapand as far as our impending showdownI'll set the early line at Duke -3.5
7/21/2008 12:57:53 PM
ha. we should start doing spreads on each ACC game. If the person covers, they get an e-cookie.
7/21/2008 1:02:51 PM
We could actually implement thatI know Jaybee along with myself bets college football regularly, so we could come up with somethingWe might want to wait a while though, to see how good each person instead of basing the spread just on the talent difference between the two teams that are playing
7/21/2008 1:12:11 PM
And I was know to shave points during my playing days.
7/21/2008 1:17:44 PM
I sent out the invites for the Sim only dynasty.
7/21/2008 4:11:53 PM
i did all my recruiting, but i wont be able to play my game til later tonight. bout to head out to see batman.
7/21/2008 5:17:17 PM
^don't you play someone decent?]
7/21/2008 5:20:53 PM
So miami has to recruit, FSU has to play and Maryland has to play. Thats all we have left for week 3.
7/21/2008 5:26:01 PM
The twerps play Cal.
7/21/2008 6:19:42 PM
Damnit I played my game last night, I'll get it finished up today
7/21/2008 6:21:48 PM
Remaining tasks this weekguitarguy - you still have 10 hours recruiting leftHaLo - you still have to put a whippin on FCS Easttracer - you have to play a quality OOC game versus Caleveryone else is ready to go]
7/21/2008 6:48:44 PM
We should have super sim'd the games and then played them to compare results. Everyone would've had restart warnings though.
7/21/2008 6:50:59 PM
since guitarguy is incommunicadoI'd like the approval from at least several of you to sim thru his recruiting if he is the last one left and sufficient time has elapsedHe probably has recruiting assisntance on anyway (its on by default) so it really wouldn't hurt him much
7/21/2008 7:04:04 PM
looks like the drive summary bug is still there from earlier builds. Normally don't pay attention to it, but in the game earlier, it showed that the drive was 100yds(I started with a return out to the 50). Anyone else noticed this?
7/21/2008 7:06:43 PM
Slave, I'm fine with that
7/21/2008 7:13:57 PM
btw, with Beasley, Palmer, Everett, Mangrum and Locust not making the grades to be on campus this year, does that mean that the NC State team can't use them, or are we past that point now?
7/21/2008 7:20:27 PM
One of my best friends is getting this game in the morning and I know has a 10mbps connection all to himself and I basically convinced him to get the game because of online dynasty. Can he join up here if someone becomes a hindrance? He doesn't have a job and is on all the time.iceman72[Edited on July 21, 2008 at 7:28 PM. Reason : .]

I'm 100% with the commish on whatever he does, unless its to the detriment of myself.
7/21/2008 8:01:51 PM
^i think guitarguys just total absence from this thread has been a hindrance. I mean....its been at the top of the board the whole time.....yet we never hear from him. So how the hell are we gonna know if hes ever around or ready or w/e
7/21/2008 8:19:35 PM
7/21/2008 8:24:48 PM
I think he just wants to play and doesn't want to do any of the work associated with being in our league, like game updates, recaps, previews, etc.If it keeps up we might soon have an opening
7/21/2008 8:37:43 PM
I am totally ok with simming all of his stuff if the others are done tonight and he hasnt communicated any information to us.
7/21/2008 8:52:16 PM
guess I'm going to restart my blowout against FCS-East now
