Thoughts on the El Salvador game. Team looked totally out of it until they got down 2-0, U.S. was lucky to snatch up a tie from the jaws of defeat, and yes the "injuries" were annoying as fuck. They were dropping like flies. I didn't see a damn thing happen to their goalie and notice he didn't crumble up like a heap (for the second time) until they got their 2-0 lead. He must have been sure that they had it in the bag then. If they were legitament cramps that shit is ridiculous. Have they ever heard of stretching, bannanas, or gatorade?About El Salvador. I graduated with a degree in Spanish and my work brings me into close contact with many Salvadorans. I feel for those people. Almost every single one of them bailed on that place due to the violence of a civil war. Now though it is run by MS 13 and it is every bit as dangerous as it looked on tv. I hope the team and the announcers had some thick security getting back to the airport. Loved the homeade booth they made for the announcers as well. The sirens were annoying as hell and the huge pieces of trash flying by the screen didn't help. Anybody see the row of women they showed after El Salvador went up 2-0? Not very smart to dress like that in a country and in a stadium of crazed machista men. Coming from someone who lived in Mexico City for the better part of 2 years and who has traveled to San Salvador, Mexico City is as secure and safe as Fort Knox compared to San Salvador!

ohhh shit, this is reported starting lineup-------------Ching-----------Altidore--------------Dempsey---------------------------------Donovan-------------Bradley--------Mastroeni-----------Beasley----Bocanegra-----Onyewu-------Hejduk---------------------Howard----------------------Bradley proving me wrong before the game starts... I like this move. I'd like to see Spector in place of Beasley but I'll take Jozy in the starting lineup[Edited on April 1, 2009 at 7:07 PM. Reason : .]
4/1/2009 7:07:10 PM
sweeeeet goal from the US to make it 1-0good long ball from Boca, nice flick from Ching, excellent cross from Donovan, and Jozy can't stop scoring goals for uscan't believe he started Pablo over Torres though
4/1/2009 8:16:24 PM
just got back from work. anyone have a first half analysis? it looks like bradley reads tww from what i see the starting line-up
4/1/2009 8:47:22 PM
T&T looks like they don't want to play, I feel sorry for their keeper... he's been yelling at his defense pretty much the entire halfwe should be up at least 2, probably should be 3-0Jozy needs to work on his celebrations though[Edited on April 1, 2009 at 8:54 PM. Reason : .]
4/1/2009 8:51:08 PM
LOL at argentina...they are idiots for hiring maradona. hes not a manager and he is in way over his head. they will make the world cup just on talent alone, but i wont be surprised if they get knocked out of the 1st round again[Edited on April 1, 2009 at 8:56 PM. Reason : 6-1 loss to bolivia]
4/1/2009 8:55:13 PM
$20 we see the GAM in the 2nd half and he scores a goal... giving him automatic callups to every game until SA[Edited on April 1, 2009 at 9:00 PM. Reason : fuck]
4/1/2009 8:59:37 PM
lol wut?
4/1/2009 9:06:51 PM
Eddie Johnson's the only forward on the bench I believe... I doubt Jozy will go the full 90
4/1/2009 9:08:05 PM
ok i get that.. but what are gam and sa?
4/1/2009 9:08:52 PM
haha, you've never heard the grown ass man quote?http://cravencottagenewsround.wordpress.com/2008/01/15/grown-ass-man-gam-coming-to-fulham/and South Africa
4/1/2009 9:10:47 PM
ahaha ive never seen that. wundaful
4/1/2009 9:14:50 PM
ok beasley is useless to us now as a team...hes 1 good thing was his speed. and he just got outran there...to me hes useless now if he cant burn people[Edited on April 1, 2009 at 9:16 PM. Reason : lo]
4/1/2009 9:16:28 PM
haha i was about to say, he got burned therebut how worse would Pearce have been owned
4/1/2009 9:16:54 PM
im sure pearce wouldve just pulled him down and got a yellow card. cynical foul
4/1/2009 9:17:18 PM
we're letting them hang around, we need a 2nd to kill off this game
4/1/2009 9:19:19 PM
pedro gomez sucks so bad
4/1/2009 9:23:17 PM
question. is ching playing this half?
4/1/2009 9:24:17 PM
he's only as good as his service... midfield has been nonexistent this half, which is why I would bring on Torres to get some more possession in that midfield
4/1/2009 9:27:17 PM
beasley thats what happens when you shy away from challenges...you are gonna get hurt again anyway wuss
4/1/2009 9:28:09 PM
ALTIDORE IS THE MOTHERFUCKING MAN!!!
4/1/2009 9:28:33 PM
fucking sickJOZY JOZY JOZY
4/1/2009 9:28:36 PM
if he doesnt keep starting Jozy after this game, i will no longer support bradley(unless there are good reasons, i.e. club wont let him play international or we already qualfied for WC and hes playing others)i dont care if hes 19, 12, 38 whatever age. he is our clear out and out top striker...[Edited on April 1, 2009 at 9:33 PM. Reason : #]
4/1/2009 9:32:11 PM
def not a foul there. should be 3-0
4/1/2009 9:35:42 PM
yeah Jozy should start no matter what our formation isI wonder what a Dempsey/Jozy duo would look like up top
4/1/2009 9:37:27 PM
torres looks really comfortable on the ball in the midfield. bradley had a good european and international season last year...but im wondering if he may need to sit behind torres for a while on the bench
4/1/2009 9:41:40 PM
L-O-L to that hat trickhonestly bradley tried to ruin that by passing behind donovan...and an ugly shot by jozy, but lol oh well. he deserved a hat trick[Edited on April 1, 2009 at 9:47 PM. Reason : g]
4/1/2009 9:46:54 PM
yeah, I LOLed
4/1/2009 9:47:16 PM
if Bradley sat behind Torres... who would play beside him? I think Edu should get more time than he does, I always forget about himI think there's room for both in the starting lineup... I've seen enough of Pablo and Ricardo Clark[Edited on April 1, 2009 at 9:53 PM. Reason : Edu]
4/1/2009 9:51:06 PM
my brother was at the game today and had great seats - he sent me a few pics from his phone - ]]
4/1/2009 9:54:21 PM
bradley would have to be the holding mid then...and i dont think he has the aggression for that. but from what i am seeing, torres and jozy need to be starting. and as crazy as onyewu can be sometimes, he is the foundation for our defense. i know a few ppl on here have bashed him, but he is a clear winner in the air for 50/50s. he makes bocanegras job at not making mistakes much easier..
4/1/2009 9:54:45 PM
hopefully Bradley stays in Germany to develop that part of his game... that's why I thought it was a great move for himyeah, the Boca/Gooch pairing should not be messed with until it lets us down, IMO
4/1/2009 9:57:03 PM
I should have went home to watch this instead of going to the baseball game tonight.
4/1/2009 10:38:29 PM

4/9/2009 12:13:56 AM
yeah I'd like to see at least a damn friendly thereI didn't think it was wide enough
4/9/2009 7:40:05 AM
This would be cool, but is CFS even wide enough to host the World Cup?http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/story/1498869.htmlThey have a ton of stadiums on the list. I think part of this is just to remind people that we do have soccer to watch and play in the USA. If we get 2018/2022 This would be a good guess on some of the host cities,ChicagoLos AngelesPhoenixDallasHoustonTampa Bay/OrlandoWashington DCNY/NJSeattle/StanfordNew EnglandThere will have to be a few more, but I don't see Raleigh hosting.[Edited on April 24, 2009 at 12:11 PM. Tonight I watched NY thrash San Jose 4-1. I didn't realize Bobby Convey is playing at San Jose now. He didn't do anything tonight either.
