I feel like Bloc would be the greatest sniping level ever if they had more space on the interior of the buildings - 5 or 6 stories instead of 2 - and moved the buildings further apart so that there was a wide no-mans land in the middle that would be difficult to cross alive. As it is now all it takes is one asshole with a P90 and 3 frags to clear out a building.

I didn't think points for kills changed within a game but they are worth more or less in different game types. i.e. free for all is 5 points, tdm is 10. I think headquarters is 5 too. sometimes it confusing cause you'll get a kill and have control of the HQ so it says 10.

also FYI assists are +2 points

if you shoot somebody or hit them with a grenade but then your squadmate finishes them off

^assists are not worth the same in domination and team death match, one of them is 2, the other i think is 1

^^^in domination, kills are worth 5 points, but if you kill someone while they're trying to claim a flag, you get 10 points

I think match bonus is calculated by a mixture of amount of kills you have/length of game/ranks of opponents/objectives completed. that's total speculation though

objectives completed definitely come into play...i've gotten 350-400 points match bonus before when i've had like 8:8 K/D in a game of regular team deathmatch cause I've also completed challenges on the mission

you can get diff points for assists too it seems. if you do most of the work you seem to get 2, if you hurt them but they die elsewhere you get 1.

Yeah, on regular it usually takes at least 3 bullets in the head to kill somebody, so I usually go for center of mass unless I've got the drop on them.

so i was just accused of being a cheater after a team deathmatch game.

i had 16 kills and 2 deaths with a chopper in the air, airstrike on the way, and a chopper waiting to be called as the game ended and all these bratty kids were yelling "He's a cheater! He had to hack the game!"...i guess they aren't good at timing their strikes and choppers.

One guy got killed 4 times with my same helicopter all in a span of like 15 seconds

That level is also a bitch when a chopper comes in. Despite its size the covered areas are relatively few and far between.

I'm really not a fan of it. It seems like it usually turns into counter sniping across the road unless its an objective match.

how do you guys plot your airstrikes? whenever i call one in i never seem to kill anybody, even if i have radar up and put the crosshairs over where everyone is. conversely, it seems like i always get killed by enemy airstrikes, even if it's across the map and i'm hiding inside a building

with airstrikes, I usually play domination, so it's pretty easy to get a couple kills there. Just knowing the maps, where the other team is and where they're likely to respawn helps a lot.

^^I usually wait for someone on my team to get the UAV online so I can see where the enemies are...if I die before I get the chance, I still have the airstrike and I just wait for a UAV again

What I usually do is look at the map to see where the enemies are, but don't click exactly on them, drop it where they're gonna be since the dots you see are only where they are at that instant, know what I mean?

somebody posted earlier in the thread that a good strategy was that once you got your 7 kill streak and unlocked the chopper, DONT immediately call the chopper...instead go out and try to kill people with your gun...then when you die, call the chopper as soon as you respawn...the chopper alone might get you back up to a UAV and the chopper combined with a couple kills can unlock another airstrike!

I got overkill finally today...




I love it. Went 20-2 in one of my first matches with it when I went Sniper RJ007? w/ MP5 on Ambush. I would've gotten more straight sniper kills with Stopping Power but being able to clear areas with the MP5 was awesome. Shotty/AR is really good for me too. Now I have to remake all of my custom classes

It does piss me off a bit that aside from the one challenge you don't get any credit for taking down a chopper.

I can't wait for some new MP maps to come out. I'd also love some downloadable weapons. I'm not very happy with the selection of SMGs.

i agree you should get 15xp for taking down a chopper. its kinda bs that you have 0 incentive as it is asside from not dying. the smg's arent that bad though. p90 and mp5 are both very awesome and the small guns (uzi/scorp) are good with the right class. the mini ak is the only thing that is kinda meh and even it has its moments.

I have a hard time adjusting to fps on consoles. I played a lot of halo 1 back in the day but since then, and especially since hl2, I haven't touched them. that being said this game is amazingly fun, if not frustrating.

reaction time is completely critical in this game, though I like--and appreciate--an fps that will reward you if you have spent the time playing it.

the helicopters are stupid though...

the scorpion isnt even that bad, just that the mini uzi is pretty much the same thing but better. i find the assualt rifles to be the most similar and boring as far as variety is concerned.

the assault rifles are all very different, the only ones that seem remotely interchangeable are the G3, M4 and the G3COC or w/e since they can be semi-automatic. The power of each shot and accuracy from the hip or scope are significantly varied in my opinion.

I would say the LMGs like the SAW don't seem very different from each other, while the sniper rifles and shotguns have the most variety.
