even if this movie sucks it's still going to make a hundred million profit by the first week, we are all tools of hollywood
7/5/2008 7:27:09 PM
dudeit's batman.
7/5/2008 7:49:05 PM
is this movie going to destroy box office records?
7/6/2008 12:40:44 AM
it is the only movie that I am not waiting to see at a 1.50 or DVD. I mean opening weekend I'm going and I think a lot of people are the same way. So yeah.Tomorrow the DVDs come out. I'm buying it. Rarely would I buy a DVD without seeing it but damn!
7/7/2008 6:43:18 AM
^^^^ meh, I havent bought into the hype AT ALL but I am just genuinely looking forward to the movie. I think I've watched a total of 2 trailers a total of 2 times.
7/7/2008 7:30:06 AM

7/7/2008 5:38:16 PM
^nice
7/7/2008 5:53:50 PM
hmm that clip makes it seem like they are weaving two face and joker together, I was kind of hoping they'd have their own seperate agendas
7/7/2008 6:32:34 PM
It is a storyline based off of the Long Halloween graphic novel. Dent, Batman and Gordon are on a mission to rid Gotham of its criminals but Dent unlike Batman wants to follow the law to bring them in. Dent is disfigured and turns into Two Face and changes his outlook and is willing to bring the criminals to justice by any means necessary including killing them. Which puts him at odds with Batman.
7/7/2008 8:13:12 PM
These clips are showing how many ungodly takes they did on these scenes. I think everytime I hear the same joker lines they're always different.
7/7/2008 8:21:09 PM
I'm surprised this shit hasn't leaked yet....or has it?
7/8/2008 6:52:25 PM
7/8/2008 8:22:02 PM
Eat your heart out Jack!!! LOL!!http://youtube.com/watch?v=fverNlrOKLUDef doesn't jive with 2008's take on the character but good for a laugh!
7/8/2008 8:31:41 PM
aww mannow i wont go into the movie FRESH
7/8/2008 8:42:28 PM
^^^Not so much in the Long Halloween storyline. He has some issues with his father but they don't play up a hidden violent personality waiting to come out. Dent is a parallel to Batman but does his crime fighting within the confines of the law. When he becomes Two Face he still has that crime fighting aspect but it is distorted by his disfigurement. The split/violent personality concept for Two Face came from Batman: the Animated Series.[Edited on July 9, 2008 at 7:36 AM. Reason : forgot something]
7/9/2008 7:35:52 AM

7/10/2008 8:24:41 AM
lol pg-13 woesif they ever went full throttle on the bible as a movie, that stuff would be rated NC-17
7/10/2008 8:27:42 AM

7/10/2008 11:56:20 AM
^And I would see it. They need more realist Bible movies...I am going to take a couple hours off of studying for the Bar to see TDK. III
7/10/2008 6:14:58 PM
HBO's First Look the Dark Knight at 10:45 tonight. Please post some details for me. Digital cable here but skipped on the movie channels
7/10/2008 10:18:12 PM
Nothing great, just the same clips that have been posted here. Then the crew talking about how awesome IMAX is.
7/10/2008 11:20:54 PM
I heard they are selling 6:00 AM showing tickets some where today on the radio.
7/10/2008 11:29:30 PM
^^Makes me feel better. I thought there might be some new stuff. I'm surprised they have been as open publicly to this movie as they have. They are usually under such tight raps but even going back to the filming in Chicago they let a lot of the local news media outlet get away with stuff. I still remember for Begins how they went under the whole "Rory's First Kiss" name and everything was so top secret. This being said though I fully expect some huge twists as to what we are "expecting" IE: a Ducard is really Ras Al Ghul type moment.
7/10/2008 11:40:35 PM
^^ i've had my imax tickets for almost a week
7/10/2008 11:43:31 PM
^^ Those 15 minute teasers on HBO never really tell you anything new.
7/10/2008 11:53:07 PM
^^^ turns out bruce is still under the spell of the hallucinogen when it was FIRST administered to him in Begins. I mean, what else would account for crazy bat costumes and people running around in clown makeup like it was normal shit?
7/11/2008 12:28:34 AM
so is the joker just some crazy dude that puts on the makeup?
7/11/2008 5:33:44 PM
your answer is on the last page.
7/11/2008 6:00:22 PM
thats cool, I don't have a problem with that, it's hard to believe a chemical could really turn your skin white anyway[Edited on July 11, 2008 at 6:03 PM. Reason : k]
7/11/2008 6:01:27 PM
yeah i dont think an origin is even necessary. you knew from the end of the first one that he had began a rampage through town. So its best to begin the second with an absolute, no introduction needed.
7/11/2008 6:02:58 PM
I was suggesting on another board that he may be a prisoner who escaped from arkham, either something drove him crazy there or he is just trying to reinvent himself
7/11/2008 6:04:13 PM
the chemical did not turn his skin white in the first batman movie, either... it deformed his face, the "surgeon" tried to mend it, but it left him with that goofy smile...then he put on makeup
7/11/2008 7:13:00 PM
nah whenever he had normal skin he would rub off his makeup to white underneath, remember in the museum when he has some drink thrown in his face
7/11/2008 7:28:16 PM
yea, his skin was def white in burton's
7/11/2008 7:32:39 PM
I've never seen a movie in IMAX, is it really worth paying 2x for it?
7/11/2008 8:15:06 PM
"Batman Unmasked; the Psychology of the Dark Knight" is on the History Channel at 9 on Wednesday.
7/11/2008 8:24:32 PM
^^ i think its SO much worseSpiderman 3 was almost unwatchable since you couldnt tell what was going on at all, but maybe Christopher Nolan is (and i suspect he is) more talented at making an iMax film
7/11/2008 8:25:48 PM
oh yeah you're right about the normal skin being his "makeup" and the white underneath..my bad
7/11/2008 9:15:46 PM
Spiderman 3 was unwatchable period, so that doesn't count
7/12/2008 12:23:15 AM
Theres 2 types of IMAX screenThe one where its like a normal screen in shape, just much biggerand the one where its curved and the screen is literally all around youI saw Superman on the former and it was badass...there were like 4 scenes where you put on 3d glasses and shit looked like it was coming right at youI couldn't imagine seeing a real movie on the latter...its cool for nature shows and such but it would be hard to see all the details in a serious movie
7/12/2008 12:27:00 AM
I like watching movies at the IMAX, but just make sure you sit in the back because the first few rows are hard to see what's going on.
7/12/2008 12:28:04 AM
^^yeah the latter they consider "omnimax" i think. There is one at Discovery Place here in CLT. I couldn't imagine seeing TDK there. I've seen tons of "nature" films there, including everest which rocked, but i dont think i could ever see a feature on that screen.
7/12/2008 1:23:56 AM
^yea, I saw the last Harry Potter on it after I had already seen it in a regular movie theater. It was IMPOSSIBLE for me to tell what was going on and I had already seen the damn movie.Never go see anything in an omnimax that isnt formatted for it.
