Crumpler vs. N.O. or K. Winslow vs. BALT. ?i know its baltimore but my gut is tellin me kellen will produce more than alge
9/21/2006 10:34:47 PM
pick one:Kurt Warner v St LouisFavre v DetroitPennington v BuffaloI have warner right now, but Favre can go nuts on Detroit if Grossman can. The other guy has about 4 rams players on his roster.
9/22/2006 12:04:30 AM
^^ I get the feeling that the Browns will be out of their game fairly early, and Winslow should getplenty looks. Meanwhile, if the Falcons romp all over the Saints... well, you don't get points for pancake blocks.
9/22/2006 1:35:15 AM
So I have Peyton Manning in one of my leagues, who has obviously scored me tons of points, but he is playing the Jags this week, and I'm not sure if he will score that much.I also have Warner vs StL and Vick vs NOSo of those three, who should I play?
9/22/2006 2:42:10 AM
i think you have to start manning every week no matter what really. peyton will certainly fare better than big ben did.
9/22/2006 2:47:56 AM
here is the official "your fantasy football season is fucked because of an injury" gif for use in this thread....

9/22/2006 4:03:28 AM

GURU:I got this trade offer this morning. I trade Carr and Gore to get Portis. This is a no brainer at the beginning of the season, but with Gore's hot start and the fact that we start two QBs in my league, I'm hesitant to make the deal. My other QBs are Bugler, McNair, and Frye. I'd personally rather trade McNair than Carr because both McNair and Bulger have the same bye week. My other RBs are Droughns and LJ. We start 2 RBs and a flex each week and having Portis and LJ would be badass assuming Portis is healthy.Any advice??[Edited on September 22, 2006 at 9:22 AM. Reason : sd]
9/22/2006 9:18:14 AM
^I'd say Gore's just as good as Portis at this point, especially since he has no injury concerns. Will M. Colston (NO - WR,TE) do much? I'm hoping for someone I can play at TE but will put up WR numbers.[Edited on September 22, 2006 at 9:50 AM. Reason : ]
9/22/2006 9:47:32 AM
no way id trade Gore for PortisPortis shoulder is fucked up, it might affect him for the entire season.Washington doesnt look like they'll be in the playoff race after week 5 so he could end up eating a LOT of pine this season.Gore on the other hand looks like he could potentially be a top 10 back, especially if he gets rid of his fumbilitis.
9/22/2006 9:51:06 AM
I have Gore AND Portisquick hint to anyone:If you have Peyton Manning, don't even keep a backup QB on your bench]
9/22/2006 10:03:16 AM
what about peytons bye week?![Edited on September 22, 2006 at 10:05 AM. Reason : NO PLURAL BYE WEEKS]
9/22/2006 10:04:26 AM
pick up a QB right before that week...you can find SOMEBODY whos playing against HOU or OAK or somebody decentbut if you have Peyton, play him every week and dont waste another roster spot with a backup who you only use 1/17 weeks
9/22/2006 10:06:46 AM
should i drop bledsoe or leftwich then (im not droppin both)[Edited on September 22, 2006 at 10:08 AM. Reason : ]
9/22/2006 10:08:37 AM
maybe try to trade leftwich for a good RB or WR
9/22/2006 10:12:24 AM
GURU: (maybe this is how i get your attention)this week, need RB adviceMcGahee vs the Jets....D. Williams against the Bucs....(how is their run defense?)W. Parker vs. Bengals (he hasn't scored yet this season)i need to start two - any help?
9/22/2006 10:16:48 AM
9/22/2006 10:17:50 AM
jdman, Since John Fox said specifically in his press conference earlier this week that DeAngelo was the backup and would be used in the mix with Deshaun Foster, I would avoid starting him this week. I addressed this question to someone else earlier, but the reasons were:
9/22/2006 10:23:16 AM
dweedle, is there a reason you want to dump one or the other in Leftwich or Bledsoe?unless there is a great waiver wire pickup out there, I would hold on to both, as they are great situational QB's, but neither can be relied on as a weekly starter.
9/22/2006 10:31:46 AM
well, peyton's my starter in any game he plays... i just dont see a need for 3 QBsthat is unless peyton happens to play like a chicago or a baltimore or someone like that the same week bledsoe or leftwich would play a houston[Edited on September 22, 2006 at 10:35 AM. Reason : ]
9/22/2006 10:34:44 AM
oh...I didnt see that part.definitely drop one. He's got more weapons, but lacks consistency. Regardless, I think you have to keep Bledsoe, if for nothing else other than his upside. Leftwich will be more consistent, but when Bledsoe is hot, he is one of the best.
9/22/2006 10:36:46 AM
well in the past 10 minutes or so i've discussed a possible trade of leftwich and another for one of his guys, so i might hold on to him for at least another day

Monopolzing positions. The key to winning the Fantasy Football Championship.gg.
9/22/2006 10:42:14 AM
another key to winning the FF Championship is having studs who have to play hard in weeks 16 and 17
9/22/2006 10:54:04 AM
Jameson, 3 QB's isn't all that bad since we're playing with deep rosters (21). They'll probably be useless since you have Peyton, but the space they're taking isn't that valuable. So what are you being offered for Leftwich?
9/22/2006 11:28:19 AM
What do y'all think of this trade?I get:·Jenkins, Michael WR ATL·Turner, Michael RB SDfor:·Cotchery, Jerricho WR NYJ·Jacobs, Brandon RB NYGI want to trade brandon jacobs away because he's my 3rd NYG player, so having Turner would be good, but is jenkins for cotchery a bad deal? Sure, cotch has had two good weeks, but at this point in his career, how likely is that to continue? I don't know.
9/22/2006 11:32:32 AM
^ I would not make that trade.Based on the first two weeks, he has to come stronger than Jenkins and Turner.Turner wont be getting the playing time he has lately...not all games will be blowouts.Jacobs actually ahs value, as does Cotchery. That trade is terrible.
9/22/2006 11:35:46 AM
That Trade is no good for you either way. Panthro is right Turner will not play as much and Jacobson will. And J-Cotch is rockin right now and prob will be more productive year round alot more than Jenkins. III
9/22/2006 11:46:10 AM
Yeah, i didn't like the jenkins for cotchery part of it at all. that trade will be denied. Now, does it make sense for me to keep jacobs if I already have Tiki barber? My problem is that I don't have another servicable RB (travis henry and chris brown are my others).
9/22/2006 12:02:09 PM
^ handcuffing your primary back with his backup is always a good idea.[Edited on September 22, 2006 at 12:28 PM. Reason : s]
9/22/2006 12:28:24 PM
Shivan Birdim not being offered anything for leftwichim trying to get Plaxico from Joe. He's on Joe's bench actually. Joe says he's weak at the RB position but he has tiki barber and warrick dunn for cryin out loud, so i said he could have my thomas jones he said he was gonna mull it over today[Edited on September 22, 2006 at 1:57 PM. Reason : ]
9/22/2006 1:55:52 PM
You're trying to get Plaxico?? Your WR's are fine and your RB's are terrible! Give Smith and TO some time. What's the deal with the D. Jackson for Berrian trade? I don't get it.Oh, and WHY DOES JOE HAVE SIX QUARTERBACKS???
9/22/2006 2:46:49 PM
i was gonna put Plax at W/R, but joe won't give him up so plax is a no go, so im getting jackson insteadi mean you can't really trade for a good RB, who's gonna give up a good RBlmao he does have 6 qb's doesnt he[Edited on September 22, 2006 at 2:54 PM. Reason : ]
9/22/2006 2:52:08 PM
a guy in our league has 4 kickers. claims he has them for "trade bait" and he wants a QB for one of them.
9/22/2006 3:44:50 PM
well, jameson, i'd definitely hold on to bledsoe seeing as he is playing Houston on peyton's bye week which happens to be the same as byron's
9/22/2006 3:48:53 PM
9/22/2006 4:14:47 PM
Just say no to Favre in a Dome.Go with Warner @ home v. the Rams.

9/22/2006 4:38:44 PM
no love for cotchery?
9/22/2006 4:40:09 PM
carson palmer against pittor warner against st. louis
9/22/2006 4:42:42 PM
dont think cotch will have another big week. definitely warner.
9/22/2006 5:36:04 PM
Not Welker, unless you get points for his return yards as well. He may get a few points for you, but Cotchery is the better play now, especially because he is going to be a goalline target for Pennington as well.
9/22/2006 6:59:23 PM
Hasselbeck, hands down
9/23/2006 3:58:21 PM
Joey Galloway vs Carolina's DefenseJerricho Cotchery vs Buffalo's DefenseI know coles for the jets got hurt last week so I guess cotchery could get more catches depending on how he is playing. Any opinions from the wise PANTRHO or anyone else? Also, GIANTS (vs Seattle) BENGALS (vs Pitt) OR RAMS (vs Arizona) DEFENSE THIS WEEK?
