I'm not sure what you did but it smells better in here already.

Page 18 is my favorite page in this threadSo how many launch games is everybody getting? The only one I'm getting for certain so far is Zelda, but I'm gonna get at least one more, probably a multiplayer game. Is WarioWare a launch title by any chance?
10/14/2006 1:09:09 AM
I don't think Warioware will be a launch title.I plan on getting Zelda and Monkey Ball (providing the previews look decent). I have a tendency to go overboard with console launches. I usually end up with 5-6 games, 4 of which I only play once or twice(I bought Kameo for the 360 for crying out loud). I'm gonna try to avoid doing this this time around.
10/14/2006 1:17:35 AM
I'm definitely going to get Zelda, and either Rayman or Monkey Ball. Jury is out on Red Steel and Excite Truck.

Yeah, I think instead of buying every game I'm remotely interested in at Launch and then being pissed off for the next 6 months because it takes that long for the "2nd wave" I'll just hold off and see what other games are worth buying. Plus it's not like I'm gonna play anything else besides Zelda anyways. At least not for the first month or so.
10/14/2006 1:25:49 AM
I got to EB Games 30 min before it opened - put down $50 deposit. It was a small price to pay for 100% guarantee that I'll have one on Nov. 19th. I sure as hell wouldn't have waited in line for hours in the early morning - but 30 minutes is a fair trade. I'm well aware that there will be plenty of Wii's to go around this Christmas season, but I wanted to make sure that I had one on Nov. 19thI'd say there's a 50-50 chance that retailers sell out on Nov. 19 - if they did sell out, I'm sure there would be plenty more in the warehouse - but I don't want to even run the risk of having to drive around to a couple different Best Buy's before I get one, or waiting until the next day when they can get restocked.I'm going to walk into EB games, pick up my system, then drive straight over to Best Buy and buy all my games and controllers. Then i'm gonna go home and play that shit while you assholes are driving star patterns around the triangle trying to find a big-box that has 'em in stock.[Edited on October 14, 2006 at 8:14 AM. Look I have no problem with your preorder. I really don't, you don't have to justify it.I just don't like it when people hold it over the rest of us who are fine with getting it on our own on launch day. I kinda think its more fun that way and well honestly, I just didn't want to give ebgames my money. It gets worse with the whole 'trying to do the whole 360 inflate and sell shit'. It all comes down to supply, and I think we'll be OK...all gaming publications are saying the same thing. Analysts say they are seriously ahead of schedule and will have much more than had thought. The reason it seems tight is because ebgames is limited their preorders to 8-30/40 or so per store which is not going to be accurate in terms of how many boxes are out there at all, not even close. My best friend is an editor and gamespot and he 'encouraged' me to just wait til launch day because we'll be fine.
10/14/2006 10:17:28 AM
and then you justify not preordering
10/14/2006 10:21:31 AM
well i think its fucking ridiculous to try and sell your pre-order or to buy two pre-orders because you think you're gonna be able to flip it for $texasand i did laugh at the girl who was standing in line because she was gonna give a wii to her brother for christmas.
10/14/2006 10:28:55 AM
that's true, i am justifying it. But I didn't have to, neither does he. The main point i'm trying to make is that we'll all have a better than average shot of landing one around launch, so if you preordered, super.....for those that didn't, our chances look good. That's all, that josh guy rampaging around in here trying to make the rest of us feel like we had to pay $texas or we weren't getting one this Nov was what I was mainly annoyed at.
10/14/2006 10:39:52 AM
I went to crabtree around 930am, saw that there was a line of about 13 people at each of the game stores and just left. not worth my time to stand there for however long and hopefully get one on nov 19th.
10/14/2006 10:41:37 AM
all these people that think their eb/gamestop preorders are "guaranteed" need to rethink that...theyre estimating the amount of wii's they will have...in reality they could get a lot less
10/14/2006 10:47:24 AM
only option, why not do it?fuckin haters.the people that pre-order will get the nintendo before any other customers (for eb/gamestop)
10/14/2006 12:24:50 PM
well if EB games doesn't have enough in stock to cover my pre-order, but best buy has pallets of 'em sitting on their floor, I'll merely cancel my $50 deposit and go buy from Best Buy. If they don't let me cancel my deposit, I'll still buy from BB, but I'll wait until EB games has the Wii in stock, go ahead and buy it from them and then immediately return it.Any way you cut it, I'm guaranteed to get a Wii on Nov. 19 and thats all that really matters.
10/14/2006 12:36:44 PM
you're still not GUARANTEED on nov 19
10/14/2006 12:55:55 PM
you're right, i guess.but i still have redundant means of getting one on Nov. 19th so I feel pretty safenot to mention, if that shit sells out in such a manner that both of my plans fail, then that Wii is gonna be worth a pretty penny and when I do get my preorder from EB, then i'll get to sell it on Ebay for $texasso you see, i still win[Edited on October 14, 2006 at 1:10 PM. 10/14/2006 1:34:09 PM
gg completely missing the pointThere's no need for her to stand in line for two hours just to get a preorder for a system that's not gonna sell out during the christmas season.PS3, yes. Wii, no.I'm sure this is a concept you don't understand.
10/14/2006 1:37:50 PM
I guess I did miss your point, because I just assumed that all that bragging you were doing about having a pre-order slot meant that you thought it was worth something. So I guess we're in agreement that your pre-order is useless. Cool.]
10/14/2006 1:41:30 PM
its worthless if your goal is to have a wii by Dec. 25th.my goal is to be playing it by the afternoon of Nov. 19thyou sound very bitter - is that because you're starting to wish that you could also be sure that you'll have a wii in your hands on release day?aw poor nacho man
10/14/2006 1:54:15 PM
So I guess it's ok for you to play it safe and get a preorder, but she can't huh? I see the logic there. You're special. And I'm not sure where you're seeing bitterness. I've gone over it several times in this thread about why I don't feel the need to preorder, if you care you can go back and read it. Bottom line is I feel like you and I have roughly the same "guarantee" to get one on Launch day. I'd even be willing to wager that I'll have my hands on one before you will.
10/14/2006 2:00:35 PM
ebay ps3 preorders taken down...wii preorders soon to follow
10/14/2006 2:18:06 PM
well, simple math dictates that I have more probability of getting one than you do, nacho manso stop bragging that its stupid to participate in a pre-order
10/14/2006 2:20:02 PM
I thought the same thing this time last year about the 360. And I never said anyone was stupid for preordering one. You'll probably get one on launch day. But I probably will get one too. And I won't have to wait until 10am when EB opens.
10/14/2006 2:30:35 PM
^^ Not so. You now only have on source to get the Wii. Nacho has several.
10/14/2006 2:36:01 PM
wtf?? I have just as many sources as Nacho and, due to the pre-order, I have an increased probability of getting a Wii from EB games, which Nacho doesn't have.Ergo, math dicates that I have a higher probability of getting a Wii.You're in college? sad day.

Excoriator you are a loser. lol. Bragging about my wee preorder peeps, ahh yeah! Can we please move the topic to something actually interesting? Anyone know when metroid is coming out? How bout the virtual service, what games are on tap, etc that stuff.
10/14/2006 4:11:38 PM

So since Rare is long gone, does that mean no Battletoads?
10/14/2006 4:37:36 PM
rare isnt gone, its key developers are
10/14/2006 8:29:23 PM
meaning gone from nintendo
10/14/2006 11:00:12 PM
so does it have enough internal memory to save a game like zelda? Or will i need to purchase an SD memory card as well?
10/15/2006 10:15:29 AM
Which Zelda? The original was 128K. OoT was 32 Megs so it should fit just fine on the included 512 MB of memory. Nintendo doesn't have plans to release anything for the VC beyond the N64 so everything should be fine.
10/15/2006 10:23:52 AM
zelda 2 was 256K O.O
10/15/2006 11:37:32 AM
i'm talking about the new zelda TP... can you save your game on the internal memory or do you have to buy a memory card? do i need a memory card to save games on Wii?
10/15/2006 11:48:27 AM
If the savegames for ANY game is greater than 512 MB they're doing something drastically wrong.
10/15/2006 11:55:45 AM
the memory that comes built in is designed to handle all your game saves, and the memory is expandable to accommodate the addition of virtual console ROMs as well512 MB is still a lot of space for game saves and/or ROMs
10/15/2006 8:47:19 PM
if you think youll get a wii w.o camping out for >12 hrs at best buy, youd be wrong.
10/17/2006 10:31:25 PM
New user name, same old worthless bullshit. You don't know anything for a fact Josh, quit acting like you do.[Edited on October 17, 2006 at 11:23 PM. Reason : and if camping out at BB is the best idea you can come up with, you don't deserve one to begin with.]

wow...I mean this must mean walmart, circuit city, target, kmart, etc etc won't have any wiis...Cause according to Josh Gamestop/EB and Best buy is all we got
10/18/2006 11:15:20 PM
Wii's will be gone in flash. Just like they were gona from all EB/gamestops/babbages in seconds. Industry accords with me.[Edited on October 19, 2006 at 2:25 AM. Reason : 6]
10/19/2006 2:18:00 AM
Well no kidding....but 12 hours at best buy...not needed. Could be any other retailer and only a couple hours if that needed
10/19/2006 8:52:32 AM
How do you know that for a fact? Please show us the proof.
10/19/2006 12:36:46 PM
The point that EVERYONE has been trying to make to you is that NO ONE HAS ANY PROOF ABOUT ANYTHING.So stop trying to act like you're the only one that knows what you're talking about. I've already given you tons of PROOF that that's not the case.
