the only thing I have found an OTC pain reliever helpful for is preventing pain (ibuprofen or naproxen).

I have a high pain threshold, and all I can conclude is that by the time I feel anything, OTC drugs have no effect.

If it's bad enough for me to need something, I call my mom up for some vicodin, but other than that, I just don't take anything, unless it's to address the root cause (like flexeril for pain coming from muscular tension, or naproxen to address tendonitis)

All they do is make expensive pee
