Every bit of my gut instinct tells CJ is going to Kentucky

We're failing in the twitter war. CJ is retweeting UK posts at like a 15:1 rate compared to NC State.

lol that is amazingly dumbI heard a rumor they hand-wrote Harrow a letter asking why he doesn't put more production value on his video diaries
4/14/2010 10:21:12 PM
But seriously, the last 30 posts on his Twitter are retweets of UK/NCSU/UF fans offering handjobs for his allegianceDude has an ego huh

still too much optimism in this thread.

people blowing up CJL's facebook wall is a double-edged sword.i'm sure he loves the enthusiasm and it must feel great that people are so fired up about the possibility of him coming to their school....but on the other hand, it must get annoying to see 40 year olds posting some wack ass shit every 5 minutes and trying to bash the other school(s)

he never retweeted mine...maybe he's only doing UK one's to stir us up
4/15/2010 9:49:38 AM
someone very smart got a hold of him and told him that if he wanted to jump pro after his first year, then he needed to create some recruiting buzz....So, he de-committed, and is now stringing along UK in order to get his name in the headlines.Do you honestly think he would get this much exposure and have this much name recognition without de-committing and playing the media machine? Not a chance.Well ... at least, this is the story I tell myself in order to keep hope alive... but its very plausible and If I was in his shoes, even if I knew I was going to commit to NCSU, I would have done the same thing.

Not that these guys are doing it, but if they are ON RECORD as finishing the semester in good standing it won't hurt them at all... Guys leaving early only hurt you if they drop out of classes after the season to my understanding.^^ That's hard to buy. This isn't all a complete charade. He obviously is very interested in UK at the very least and he is playing the recruiting game VERY close to the vest according to all the "in the know" guys...[Edited on April 15, 2010 at 9:59 AM. ^i agree..... these kids change their minds constantly.. i believe he's probably changed his mind at least a few times.... at first it was state, then kentucky, then maybe state again, then kentucky, who knows where he is at.you have to think with all the people constantly in his ear about things he has to be second guessing his decision. He may have already made up his mind, or he may not. I also wouldn't be surprised if he's trying to wait as long as possible to see where all the other recruits end up.
4/15/2010 10:09:54 AM
World Wide Wes just tweeted that CJ is considering taking the Brandon Jennings approach....going to play in Europe for a year. Jennings got a $1.6M contract with the Italian team AND a $2M contract with Under Armour as an 18 year old and now is making $2.2M with the Bucks as a 20 year oldi guess money is the only thing on CJ's mind
4/15/2010 10:21:46 AM
I guess you don't have a link for that...
4/15/2010 10:26:52 AM
No one is actually going to believe that.

I don't think there are too many people who know exactly what CJ will do, but I highly doubt that he'll play in Europe.
4/15/2010 2:44:43 PM
I highly doubt he will play for us either

Leslie interview from today, taken from Kentucky premium site:By LARRY VAUGHTC.J. Leslie won’t be making his college announcement while he’s in New York for Saturday’s Jordan Brand Classic.Guards Josh Selby and Doran Lamb — both Kentucky and Kansas targets — will make their choices known during a first-half timeout of the game that will be shown on ESPN2 starting at 8 p.m. Leslie, a forward who played at the Word of God Academy in Raleigh, N.C. where John Wall played, originally was going to announce whether he would attend Kentucky, Florida or North Carolina State after the all-star game. Now he says he won’t make a choice until sometime after he makes an official visit to Florida.Leslie is a talented defender at 6-8 and has a solid low-post offense to go with highlight reel dunking ability“I’m looking forward to playing in the game. I have played here in New York before and there’s nothing like it,” said Leslie Thursday. “It’s not that hard to play in these all-star games and not worry about recruiting. You just focus on the game.”He says he’s not leaning to any school — he originally committed to N.C. State before re-opening his recruitment — but he made it clear what he likes about Kentucky.“They have got a great coach. Cal is super and gets players prepared for the next level and makes great college players out of them,” Leslie said. “But that’s not the only part about picking a school. It still has to be a good fit. I think I can go in and contribute anywhere. My talent speaks for itself. It’s about finding where I fit best.”Wall has indicated that he expects Leslie to follow him to Kentucky.“That’s just John Wall talking,” Leslie said during media day time at the Jordan Brand Classic. “We are good friends. He’s one of my buddies away from basketball, too. It does influence me a little bit that he had such a good year there, but I also have to make sure I look at what is best for me. We talked a lot about that earlier in the year, but lately we have just been talking about outside stuff and not recruiting. He won’t pressure me.“I did enjoy watching him play this year. He got a lot better since high school and did a great job for Kentucky.”Leslie says he’s ready to get recruiting “over with” but he understands he shouldn’t rush his choice. “I am looking forward to having a good time here in New York, make my visit and then make my choice,” he said. He hopes to showcase his skills on ESPN2 Saturday night, too.“I can do a little bit of everything. I am real athletic and just like to do all and playing with all these great players is a chance to show what you can do,” Leslie said. “I’ve always dreamed one day of playing in the NBA, so this kind of shows me what that will eventually be like.”Of course, Kentucky is probably losing five players off its team to the NBA — as well as three seniors. “It could be a good thing for the next players because it leaves it wide open for playing time, but it could be a bad thing if coach Cal does not get good players,” Leslie said. “But he’s already got Brandon Knight and he’ll get more good ones, too.”Like him?“Brandon is trying. I’ve already talked to him a couple of times about it, so we’ll see what happens,” Leslie said.

Clearly lying. He barely knows Knight. Only played with him one time in passing. I can't imagine they spoke with each other on the phone.

i talked to gravis about this and he said cj leslie gave him a frowny face when speaking about knight and a smiley face when talking about harrow. we got this in the bag

^talk about under the radar, can't believe I hadn't heard about a high-major recruit right here in Raleigh...would be a decent addition for Arizona after missing on McCallum
4/15/2010 8:43:25 PM
yeah, where did he come from, a "6'8", 210, 3*, sg" in raleigh?it's coming down to the wire, and the 1st time i've heard of him is a quote from a uk board? weird.

i just heard brett favre was joining the basketball team
4/15/2010 10:02:04 PM
^^^ some snooping on hill reveals that he was a laurinburg prep kid. this new school he's at doesnt seem all that legit either (not saying it isnt, but the website is pretty amateur). he's an intriguing prospect for sure, really long and having any guard skills at 6'8 is worth something. surprised we havent heard anything about him since hes right in our backyard, but i can see how he'd fall through the cracks nationallycal might see chris douglas-roberts v2.0 but its hard to tell much from a 40 second youtube. doubt he makes much of an impact as a freshmanhttp://tucsoncitizen.com/wildaboutazcats/2009/11/24/potential-ua-recruit-hill-wants-to-set-record-straight/
