I might be making a trip to the mall to get them this evening. I've been drooling over them for long enough, methinks it's time to just bite the bullet and spend the money.^ nah, the color difference really makes them stand apart, but that might just be me. 5^ I think you need both pairs! The first pair is like a throwback to someone's Grandma's closet, and the other pair is a throwback to the adorable saddle shoes we wore as kids. Or golf shoes. The colors are so different that both would be great to have. [Edited on October 6, 2010 at 3:08 PM. Reason : .]
10/6/2010 3:08:02 PM
i feel bad if i get them now b/c you "had" them first
10/6/2010 3:08:55 PM

10/6/2010 5:46:13 PM
my ballet flats got here today...all 4 pair of them too bad they didn't get here last week so i could wear the red ones to the football game which is specifically why i bought them to begin with
10/6/2010 6:47:25 PM
I bought these today and I wanted to share: I'm going as "Hipster Dorothy" for halloween. Blue gingham blazer, glittery red chucks, PBR can bow. Any ideas on what to wear under the blazer/on the bottom? I'd say skinny jeans, but there isn't anything skinny about me so that won't work.
10/6/2010 6:58:21 PM
haha i like the idea. i saw a white dress?
10/6/2010 7:09:32 PM
pretty
10/6/2010 8:06:32 PM
For the dorthy look i think white petal pushers or pencil skirt would be cute but in not a hipster so im not the best judge. Will you go halloween good will shopping with me? I need dolly ideas
10/6/2010 8:33:58 PM
Hell yes I'll go shopping with you
10/6/2010 10:13:47 PM
2^there's been a denim dress at the cause for paws on south saunders the last few times i've been. very dolly
10/6/2010 10:33:20 PM
OH MAN! I do not drool over clothes, EVER but jeez I want these! good call, Joie.[Edited on October 6, 2010 at 10:39 PM. Reason : Ok, now that I think about it, I often drool over shoes.]
10/6/2010 10:39:29 PM
Hey thanks! Ill run to cause for paws tommorow and check it out. I think i could do a good dolly, have my best friend do my hair all huge
10/6/2010 10:59:38 PM
Changing it up. was in the crafty mood tonight so went shopping to make this. including handmade bow.

10/7/2010 10:10:27 AM
^^^^ i dont think thats wedding or 2nd empire appropriate lol, i guess i should have specified.
10/7/2010 10:13:01 AM
^^ I roll w/ thick headbands whenever the roots start showing. They hide everything really well. And I LOVE that wreath. I am going to force my husband to get all my Halloween decorations out of storage tonight.Andddd.....This is my Halloween costume this year:I only have to buy a wig and a vintage dress. [Edited on October 7, 2010 at 10:16 AM. Reason : image fail]
10/7/2010 10:14:10 AM
EMBRACE THE ROOTS, joie!!! I would corn row them just so everyone would know. Being 100% honest.
10/7/2010 10:14:21 AM
10/7/2010 10:17:16 AM
so I bought a dress that I guess you could say is... clingy (but fits)any ideas on what to pair it with? I think it's still a little too warm for tights... it's a navy blue scoop neck dress with long sleeves (pretty plain, I posted it in here a few weeks ago)found it:and if someone wants a pic of it on me to help out some I can PM it, don't want to post it in here because, well, it looks much different than on the model (I have more stuff in areas she doesn't)... doesn't look bad but still a still self conscious about it[Edited on October 7, 2010 at 10:45 AM. Reason : .]
10/7/2010 10:33:32 AM
^ Maybe a long necklace or scarf with either ballet flats or tall boots
10/7/2010 11:26:57 AM
I meant more of a way to deal with a pooch rather than dressing it up.. guess I should have clarified
10/7/2010 1:23:29 PM
long scarf as a belt?
10/7/2010 1:27:08 PM
corrective undergarments. they work wonders
10/7/2010 1:29:15 PM
Spanx plus a scarf. I also like those long, drapey cardigans to cover up clingy clothes.Or just return the dress and go one size up.[Edited on October 7, 2010 at 1:49 PM. Reason : .]
10/7/2010 1:49:11 PM
Second the spanx. I just bought a sweater dress myself and really liked the way the smaller size fit but bought a larger size to make up for any shrinking. Although it doesn't look as sexy as the smaller size it isn't as snug either
10/7/2010 2:14:29 PM
That's a good point. Shrinkage could be dangerous if the dress is already snug.Plus, you'll prob just be a bit more comfy if it's possible to trade for one size up.
10/7/2010 2:16:58 PM
Oh the dress certainly isn't snug. It's just a matter of being a very stretchy clingy material. Almost like that jersey material. The dress is definitely one of the most comfortable I've ever had...I was thinking about Spanx but aren't they kinda steep? Are they worth it?I'll send a PM of it on to you ladies that responded thankssss <3
10/7/2010 5:28:21 PM
Spanx are worth every penny. The off brands work just as well. Shop around and see what discounts you can find.I love Spanx when I wear clingy dresses. You won't have noticeable bra and panty lines if you choose the right Spanx. And it's nice to have a very smooth silhouette when you sport a clingy dress.
10/7/2010 5:31:24 PM
I have the off-brand, and they work very well. Haven't used the real thing, so don't know if they're worth it.
10/7/2010 5:35:13 PM
My friend just sent me the link to some Spanx stuff and I didn't know they were only like $38 for a basic pair.. I'm pleasantly surprised! She said they're worth every penny I think I'll get a pair yay because I love that dress
10/7/2010 5:37:31 PM
Do want for my friend's engagement party next weekend.. but the price tag is
10/8/2010 12:35:00 AM
i'm not really into the feathery stuff, i'm sure you'd make it look good anyway though
