Heres another one. The height of hypocrisy: Trump freely admits prior use of marijuana and cocaine, doesn't seem to care that his daughter probably smokes marijuana, and yet sits idly by while non-violent people rot in prison for doing the exact same thing.Did I say Trump? I meant Obama.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/01/29/obama-says-marijuana-reform-is-not-on-his-agenda-for-2016/
10/20/2016 12:49:27 PM
Except he's pardoned hundreds of non-violent drug offenders.
10/20/2016 1:50:53 PM
a whole .1%
10/20/2016 1:52:38 PM
Just pointing out you might not know what 'sits idly by' means.Even in that article he said he'd sign legislation brought to him about it, but if he made it an executive order you'd be screaming and crying about abuse of power.
10/20/2016 1:57:37 PM
Obama's entire term has exposed how poor civics education is in this country. So few people seem to have internalized "How a Bill Becomes a Law".
10/20/2016 2:03:39 PM
By executive order, apparently.
10/20/2016 2:38:45 PM
No, a bill becomes a law when a single senator decides it will be law.
10/20/2016 3:51:16 PM
I hate to keeping coming back to Obamacare, but it's that time of year and it seems to be all over the news.In a speech today, Pres Obama admitted that health insurance premiums have gone up, "but by the slowest rate in 50 years, since ObamaCare was passed."So, while admitting to one broken promise, he actually also go caught in a lie. 2017 hikes are even sharper than last year.
10/20/2016 3:56:06 PM
everyone realizes a bill becomes allow when russian pupetteers pull strings
10/20/2016 4:05:43 PM
^^It isn't just about premiums. My deductible increased 1100/per person, on top of my premiums going up. That shit hurts.
10/20/2016 5:38:57 PM
But even if Obamacare was a disaster by any metric you apply to it, *Insert Shrike Mental Gymnastics* It was a success because I like Obama and the media says he is cool!
10/20/2016 10:26:21 PM
So insurance companies are realizing that actually providing a service to those who need it instead of sucking money from healthy people actually costs money so they are jacking up prices.Obamacare is doomed to failure eventually, but if that failure results in a single payer system that allows US healthcare costs to come more in line with the rest of the western world instead of the capitalist wild west it had become before, then ultimately Obamacare is a great thing.
10/20/2016 10:44:55 PM
There you go! You got the mental gymnastics.Even if it fails, its a good thing. This echo chamber is solid
10/20/2016 10:46:09 PM
lmao that was a perfect routine!"i'm glad we got obamacare instead of single payer so we could show why single payer is better"awaiting scores...

10/20/2016 11:50:10 PM
10/21/2016 1:18:06 AM
blame it on congressthe all democratic controlled supermajority congress
10/21/2016 4:08:58 AM
10/21/2016 8:52:06 AM
millions more people being insured isn't better? not being denied because of pre-existing conditions isn't better? your premiums going up negate those significant improvements?
10/21/2016 9:05:05 AM
free market was working just fine since insurance companies charged nominal fees and it was easy to get covered. oh wait.
10/21/2016 9:27:22 AM
"Obama will never be able to pass healthcare reform, ending his chance at a successful Presidency before it starts.""The Supreme Court will strike down the individual mandate and invalidate the law""Romney will easily defeat Obama by promising to repeal Obamacare""The exchanges will fail to sign up anyone, leading to death of Obamacare""The Supreme Court will invalidate federal exchange subsidies, sending the law into a death spiral""The law will fail to bend to cost curve or lower the uninsured rate."The only thing doomed to fail are Obamacare's opponents. Time, and time, and time again.[Edited on October 21, 2016 at 9:28 AM. Reason : .]
10/21/2016 9:28:21 AM
Remember when health insurance companies could deny you coverage bc you had a health problem??!!!!!Oh man those were the days!
10/21/2016 9:35:24 AM
I feel like there should be a more derogatory term than "partisian hack" for people like Shrike. Trying to discuss a proven failure like the ACA with him is like trying to explain academic fraud to a UNC fan barista brewing my coffee. You treat the DNC like it's your favorite sports team instead of actually having principals or values that you try and best match to a candidate. When the contractors that made the ACA talk about it requiring a stupid populace, they are talking about sheep like Shrike.
10/21/2016 2:06:23 PM
10/21/2016 2:18:21 PM
its not their fault tho. they arent being hacks on purpose. if you watch the news and read the papers, the media will make you a d hack bu default. you have to watch cspan and do a lot of homework almost daily to get the truth. people who get no information (aka talk radio)are often republican hackspeople who get the information the media feeds them are democrat hackspeople who do their own homework ade principled[Edited on October 21, 2016 at 3:05 PM. I agree 100%.Objectively getting news is a chore that most people don't have time for. It's unfortunate. The worst part is, when people are presented with information that conflicts with their existing view, rather than change their view they only become more entrenched. Humanity is doomed
10/21/2016 3:21:33 PM
Were Democrats this sad and pathetic during the Bush years? I don't remember blaming every L on the evil main stream media or the RNC colluding with the government, but then again I'm getting old and drink way too much brown liquor.
10/21/2016 3:28:57 PM
Yes.
10/21/2016 3:29:36 PM
Caring about corruption in our government is sad and pathetic. Okay
10/21/2016 3:30:50 PM
this JCE and Earl lovefest is adorable. It's also pathetic, but let love triumph.
10/21/2016 3:33:00 PM
They are basically living proof of horseshoe theory.
10/21/2016 3:36:30 PM
I like how a Marxist and conservative are seen to be in a de facto alliance just because TSB is such a disgraceful leftist echo chamber
10/21/2016 7:47:10 PM
So is there anything to that wikileaks thing I'm seeing on FB about how he had emails from Clinton's private server and needed to have it cleaned up?
10/26/2016 8:55:01 PM
nope
10/26/2016 9:11:44 PM
So it has to be a stain on Obama's administration that his DOJ and his appointed FBI hierarchy are basically rogue and taking potshots at each other through media leaks, right?
10/30/2016 8:11:38 PM
it won't matter in two weeksit especially won't matter in the years to come
10/30/2016 8:36:36 PM
Perhaps not. But Loretta Lynch is failing miserably at her job. Doesn't Comey and the FBI work for her?
10/30/2016 8:53:34 PM
Lynch pleading the fifth is a great look for "the most transparent administration in history".
10/31/2016 1:10:48 PM
did infowars tell you she did that?
10/31/2016 1:21:38 PM
did she plead the fifth more or less than 97 times?
10/31/2016 1:26:31 PM
Where is obama on standing rock?
10/31/2016 5:13:11 PM
11/1/2016 12:50:40 PM
Only in extreme cases of stupid (Shrike types) does that come into play. Though identity politics in general is a disturbing trend... Especially when new immigrants vote their ethnicity instead of policies.
11/1/2016 4:00:20 PM
^^ right and the FBI reviewed ~40,000 emails, congress did 9 benghazi investigations, the FBI is now even looking into Huma's emails (which doesnt make sense-- but neither did the benhgazi investigation), and Clinton hasn't been hiding anything. Even the wikileaks releasing podesta's emails has shown practically nothing against clinton.Meanwhile, we don't have any "secret" info on Trump, he hasn't released his tax returns, he came to prominence by lying about having secret info about obama's birth certificate that was found by a secret team of researchers. How anyone thinks Clinton is the conniving, plotting crooked one in this election makes no sense.
11/1/2016 4:09:38 PM
Moron, step out of your echo-chamber for 5 minutes. What do you not understand about "deleting"?
11/1/2016 4:12:33 PM
11/1/2016 5:05:26 PM
Again, I understand you hacks live in a fluffy echo chamber free of dissent... But let this one sentence sink in:What part about "deleted emails under subpoena" do you not understand??Also, lmao at hack spinning investigations as a plus.
11/1/2016 7:25:05 PM
You honestly think these new emails (that aren't even hers) have some sort of smoking gun that will finally land Hillary in handcuffs on her way to Federal prison? Serious question.
11/1/2016 7:32:54 PM
My post was directed at the hacks claiming an examination of the non-deleted emails mattered. As for the 650k emails on weiner' thing? No clue. I have no confidence in the FBI after the 5 immunities and no prosecution.
11/1/2016 7:47:10 PM
Because you're more of an expert on Hillary Clinton's emails than the FBI?
