i think that looks super cute. i think i'm going to try to do some more high waisted belts now that i'm a bit skinnier photo from previous page: ]

wait western is in?will someone post the big trends right now?
9/30/2010 12:21:04 PM
hahaha, that's the exact reason why I want to do it.. I can show off my hourglass figure now try it and take pics!the only problem I'm having is this belt doesn't have a tab to hold all the extra belt part.. so I kind of looped it around the main part (if that makes sense) by my arm^ yeah I've been poking around some sites this past week and they all have western inspired styles... try glamour.com .. I found a lot of neat things on there (including a few tutorials on how to revamp your wardrobe without going to the store)here's one of the things I found: http://www.glamour.com/fashion/2010/02/14-of-the-most-wearable-fall-trends#slide=1[Edited on September 30, 2010 at 12:22 PM. i guess i can wear my western clothes again without people looking at me funny...although mine are the real deal and not the trendy versions of them...so i would probably still get funny looks...i was country when country wasn't cool actually...after looking at that list....i have a closet full of stuff that fits....i've been out of style for years now apparently [Edited on September 30, 2010 at 12:29 PM. I think Samwise16 looks really good. But I'm afraid the outfit is a no-go.I know, I know, revamping the wardrobe without going to the store, but the outfit seems to be stretching it too much.
9/30/2010 12:31:10 PM
Can you possibly explain why? Telling someone an outfit is a "no-go" should probably be followed with reasons why.. Regardless, I'm wearing still wearing it today. I would've worn the pants, shirt, and boots together anyway - I'm just trying out the waist belt[Edited on September 30, 2010 at 12:51 PM. Reason : but thanks for the compliment ]
9/30/2010 12:50:47 PM
I think you need a more rugged belt with the shirt. Like, a light brown, braided suede belt. The belt shown doesn't quite fit the shirt you're wearing. But it does show off your killer waistline! I'm jealous of your rack![Edited on September 30, 2010 at 12:57 PM. Reason : j]
9/30/2010 12:52:45 PM
Sam, the outfit is just fine
9/30/2010 12:53:46 PM
^^Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking.I felt like the belt didn't work with the shirt or the boots. And a braided belt sounds awesome!
9/30/2010 12:56:20 PM
^3 haha thanks^2 ^ I do agree a braided belt/more rugged belt would be better.. I need to get an actual waist beltAt this point though, I'm too lazy to change so we'll see what kind of response this belt getsps it's brown, doesn't really show up well in the picture..
9/30/2010 1:06:46 PM
I'm not feeling the belt around the waist either w/ that combo. The belt is a bit too... shiny? for the rest of the outfit.I also think it either has to be a super tiny belt or a super wide belt with a longer solid color top to pull off the look.[Edited on September 30, 2010 at 1:50 PM. question about skinny belts around the (true) waisti have 2 skinny belts and the only thing i can think to wear them with are cardigans and i feel silly wearing a belt that high up with pants on so i only feel comfortable doing the skinny belt thing with a skirtbut i haven't tried my skinny belts and i've had them for almost 2 months nowadvice?
9/30/2010 2:48:21 PM
Wearing these right now so lite. I kinda lover forever21 fashion jewelry b/c its cheap and cute.
9/30/2010 2:58:50 PM
I may well have pictures for yall of me in that dress I was talking about the other day. (I went and bought two lol: black in my current size, and grey herringbone in the next size down.)I have an interview in the morning at a hotel, and plan to wear that dress. Probably, I'll wear a blouse over it, because my arms are still too flabby to go without, I think, but still.[Edited on September 30, 2010 at 7:18 PM. ha ha ha whaaaaaif "thigh-high socks" are one of Glamour's most wearable trends for fall, I'd hate to see what they consider unwearable
9/30/2010 10:10:49 PM
I have thigh high socks, but they are just for wearing around the house
9/30/2010 10:18:43 PM
yeah I'm kinda skeptical about those thigh high socks... but I did see one pair of cable knit thigh highs paired with knee high boots and I thought it looked really cutepages 2-3 have some examples but they're really all scattered throughout the cataloghttp://www.freepeople.com/september-10-catalog/

speaking of things that are in this season, i've seen a LOT more outfits containing black + navy blue pieces worn together (not even dressy outfits, just casual) this season so far. has anyone else noticed it? thoughts?
10/2/2010 10:31:01 PM

10/4/2010 11:09:57 AM
I'm a huge fan of thigh high socks ever since moving to up north. Target had a TON last winter that are super comfy and cute. My favorite are a pair of cable-knit winter white ones, but sadly I don't have a picture of them handy
10/4/2010 11:23:37 AM
the ones i posted are from target, only 5 bucks! and i got another pair that are blue and teal striped.
10/4/2010 11:45:17 AM
please don't say that...i already owe target my soul...i don't need to get more stuff from there [Edited on October 4, 2010 at 11:46 AM. Reason : sdfsd]
10/4/2010 11:46:30 AM
Speaking of target, tons of cute underwear up there right now on clearance! $2 each!!
10/4/2010 1:06:34 PM

10/4/2010 4:03:18 PM
^ LOVE # 1 and # 6. ::drool::
10/4/2010 4:10:11 PM
^ what size shoe do you wear again?
anywhere from an 8.5-10 depending on width, style, and quality...i usually settle around the 9-9.5 range though
10/4/2010 4:14:46 PM
10/4/2010 4:46:40 PM
now i want to go buy a little black party dress....specifically so i can buy those last pair of shoes i posted
10/4/2010 4:48:42 PM

10/4/2010 6:05:09 PM

10/4/2010 7:09:38 PM
"man"
10/4/2010 10:37:51 PM
^and I used to say Giorgio Armani Gio (I think that's what it's called)but last year Eric bought Armani Code and it is moneyyyy
10/4/2010 10:41:19 PM
if, by some weird series of events, i get invited to a christmas/new years eve party (a real adult one mind you) i'm going to wear one of the follow...orwith the second wrap...or maybe even this with the bottom wrap in the picture above or just a nice wide black belt...or finally this one...and finish off the look with these...i would feel like the hottest lady alive...now i just need a sexy man to take me to a party
10/5/2010 12:47:34 PM
I like the first dress best! The pleats on the other dresses are throwing me off. Love the shoes!
10/5/2010 12:50:50 PM
i may not be built for the first dress though...i'm very hourglass and that may not be too conducive to broad chest and hips
10/5/2010 12:52:27 PM
[quote]speaking of things that are in this season, i've seen a LOT more outfits containing black + navy blue pieces worn together (not even dressy outfits, just casual) this season so far. has anyone else noticed it? thoughts?[/quoteI almost wore a navy sweater dress, black net tights (not fish net, but a design) and booties today to work. I changed my mind cause I wasn't sure on black and navy, and I thought "ehhh, maybe not for work"I took pictures and will post later bc I want opinions. I may not wear to work, but I thought it was a cute outfit
10/5/2010 12:54:54 PM

Those boots kind of scare me... but if you can pull it off haaaayyy. They remind me of:hahaha
10/5/2010 3:13:35 PM
