^That movie freaked me out as a kidThe Foreigner (oldish Jackie Chan, Netflix) and Monkey Man (new Dev Patel, Peacock) are both pretty good turn your brain off action movies. Both want to have deep plots but they don't really hit and have some weird unnecessary points that don't close.

Twisters was damn good and way smarter than I thought it’d be

Thinking about taking my daughter to see it. Should she need to see the first one...first?

Back to Black was good, and sad

^^ other than a reference to Dorothy in the opening scene, there’s no need to know anything about the original to be able to enjoy itit is a bit violent, though

I thought Ghostbuster: Frozen Empire was not very good (I liked Afterlife that came out a few years ago)

Deadpool & Wolverine was very solid IMO, better than I expected going in.
7/25/2024 8:25:53 PM
I thought wolverine was dead

Finestkind was ok but not good

Deadpool was just ok for me. I kind of found it too cute a lot of time

^I finally got around to seeing it this past weekend. Unfortunately wasn't able to avoid some of the bigger spoilers, but I did enjoy the cameos. I thought the Deadpool trilogy as a whole are probably the funniest superhero movies ever made.

It just dawned on me how devastating it must have been for Lt. Dan loosing his legs, seeing the importance he placed on socks to Forrest and Bubba when they first met.

Saturday Night was pretty underwhelming
10/25/2024 3:32:45 PM
Well, yeah. It looked like dog crap in the trailer, which these days shows what they think are the best parts of any movie. The highlight was the guy who kind of looked like Chevy Chase.
10/27/2024 11:27:42 AM
I don’t think the trailer was bad at all
10/27/2024 6:35:02 PM
Yeah i am a sucker for period piece documentary type movies like this, i definitely can see myself watching it once after watching the trailer
