To be fair this one was all on slow Per.Costa obviously should have gotten a straight red in the first game before Gabriel ever did anything.

Sure but I still don't understand the logic besides obvious personal preference. To say the team at the top of the table is going to miss out on CL at this point is naive to say the least. To then go on a put a team three spots below the 4th spot as replacement for the team at the top of the table currently in the 4 top spots is even more nonsensical. Literally, West Ham makes much more sense based on recent performances if you are so hell bent on having Leicester out of it.

Also on the topic of Leicester, here are the next three for them:Feb 2, 2016 2:45 PM ETLeicester City v Liverpool Feb 6, 2016 7:45 AM ETManchester City v Leicester CityFeb 14, 2016 7:00 AM ETArsenal v Leicester CityIf Leicester picks up 6 points here they are taking the title race to the last day. Also I am pretty sure City and Arsenal have CL to consider between these fixtures so it will certainly get very interesting. I am predicting a loss at City for Leicester and a win at the Emirates. Arsenal have Leicester followed by Barcelona in mid week and then a trip to Old Trafford. Tough week there. I imagine February will be make or break time for Wenger. If Leciester get all 9 here that would for me mean they are winning the title, hope it happens but not likely. I predict Leicester will likely get 4 points from 9 and be in second with City and Arsenal dropping points elsewhere. I think besides the obvious best case of picking up 9 points they would be ecsatic with 7 (win at the Etihad and draw at the emirates) Both of them have a fixture congestion with the FA Cup and Capital One Cup respectively so Leicester has a distinct advantage here. I think City plays 4 matches in 10 days (4th match being Leicester so it will get tough). [Edited on January 26, 2016 at 10:49 AM. Reason : a][Edited on January 26, 2016 at 10:50 AM. Reason : w]

How is it trolling if I simply don't think United will be top four? I didn't even mention them FFS. The fact that you think I was trolling United fans in the slightest says more about you than it does me. Such an entitled fan.
2/1/2016 8:29:47 AM
wow, I'm shocked by Pep to City. I read some very interesting and definitely true analysis somewhere about their fans not supporting the manager and it not being a done deal and that United had a real chance at getting him.And how could he pass up the opportunity to coach Marouane fucking Fellaini? Most effective hybrid striker/midfielder/shitbag in the Prem. Probably had a lot to do with Coaching Legend Ryan Giggs waiting in the shadows imho

In order to promote actual discussion how do the resident premier league fans think Pep is going to fair in the EPL? For me I think Pep is going to find a lot to learn in the first year. City will probably challenge and likely win the title (especially since I can see them getting some very good players this summer) but I wouldn't be surprised if it is a close fought race with Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and even Liverpool (depending on who they sign). I think the fixture list will work against Pep and also the fact that the premier league clubs are very rich from top to bottom. We have seen this year that clubs are doing really well attracting some serious talent. That said I do believe Pep is going to find it difficult to implement his possession based style in the PL. I think tactically this may be his toughest challenge yet to navigate a physical league like this one. I have a feeling he will start off really well and hit some major bumbs during the Christmas period. I have to say looking at City and Manchester its a sad state of affairs for the red half. Very clear now that the club owners don't give two shits about the club and only care about the money. Regardless of how City has risen via a lottery their owners at least have done fantastically well in setting it up to be run like a professional football club. I think its time United fans hit these greedy Glazers where it really hurts, in their pockets. Unfortunately the club still has tremendous appeal and will likely coast on that reputation for another couple of years before the revenue stream declines and fans start leaving. By then it will already be too late, wouldn't be surprised to see us turn into Liverpool. Football bloody hell.
2/1/2016 1:21:03 PM
Just to recap:1. Pep will have a "lot to learn" but2. He will win the league even though3. It'll be difficult to navigate a physical league and won't be able to implement his preferred tactical style because4. Bad teams are now signing good players and City will have to5. Fend off challenges against the usual top 3-4 competitors, except for6. Manchester United, who have only started caring about making money in 2016.[Edited on February 1, 2016 at 1:57 PM. City will compete next year because they are city not because Pep. Year two he will put is stamp on the team. Their squad needs a complete overhaul for his tactics. Of their first 11 I would say only Silva, Sterling, and De Bruyne fit in. He will have the resources but I don't think it can be done in just one summer. But once he gets to year two, Jose will be in year two and the birth of the new Invincibles will begin at United. ^ how considerate Also I still don't get why you think Leicester will drop out despite it never happening in the history of the PL at this stage. They just signed Remy too. The post was never about United making into the top 4, I just don't see how people think Leicester will drop out of the top 4, they may finish 4th but I don't see them going lower. There are 45 points left for all teams to pick up still. Leicester is already at 47. Last year 70 points was enough to finish in the top 4. Realistically Leicester only need to win half of their remaining matches to get to 70 points. I also think 67 points should do it for top 4 this year but for the sake of argument lets say 70 is the target, I can see Leicester getting that easily. Regardless that is why we have opinions....

for fucks sake how does Fellaini keep playing? This is going to be another shit match. Pretty much guaranteed to be 7th in about 3 hours once Liverpool and West Ham win. Fuck off Louis. [Edited on February 2, 2016 at 2:15 PM. Reason : a]

well fuck me whats happening here? I counted over 8 risky ground forward passes, a beautiful goal on the counter, not faffing about passing it sideways, and Old Trafford actually being entertained. Christmas has come late. I am going to enjoy the next 45 minutes (provided this keeps up) before the inevitable relapse to LVG football soon enough. We have been deprived of good football for so long I am actually shocked we can still play that way.
