Love it. Every time.
11/29/2012 11:17:53 PM
The only thing I would not like about "missing out" on Dykes is how pathetic we would look yet again
11/29/2012 11:24:53 PM
I'm not real good with faces..... who is that?
11/29/2012 11:25:59 PM
bill belichick[Edited on November 29, 2012 at 11:29 PM. Reason : no need to be a dick]
11/29/2012 11:28:11 PM
^^its understandable, since he only smiles about 0.1% of the time
11/29/2012 11:31:26 PM
We will know by Monday who the new head coach is per chancellor Woodson. Even sooner if it somehow gets leaked to the media.
11/30/2012 4:18:53 AM
did he say that publicly?
11/30/2012 4:33:27 AM
It's nearly impossible to recognize Bill Belichick without his cutoff hoodie.
11/30/2012 7:40:34 AM
I'm hoping holding off until Monday means we want to talk to Doeren and/or Grantham on Sunday. But more than likely it's just getting everything lined up for Dykes.
11/30/2012 7:41:25 AM
So what is LATech's kick return to block in the back ratio?
11/30/2012 8:27:16 AM
i'd be more concerned with the ratio of last minute punts to punts directly at the best running backs in a given conference
11/30/2012 8:33:02 AM
Any reason as to why we aren't considering Chad Morris?
11/30/2012 9:25:39 AM
^I'd assume money. I'd like to know more about LAT's punts, more specifically, those in the less than 10 yard category.
11/30/2012 9:31:02 AM
Dave Doeren on Pack's Radar?(top PP story)
11/30/2012 9:34:11 AM
^^^ Yow apparently interviewed him. I'm guessing he wasn't her top choice after the interview.Maybe I'm wrong, but the fact that nothing has been announced yet leads me to think that Dykes may not be the #1. Maybe Yow is waiting until after the MAC title game to talk with one or both coaches.[Edited on November 30, 2012 at 9:36 AM. Reason : 66]
11/30/2012 9:34:47 AM
^heard that yesterday as well
11/30/2012 9:35:18 AM
Just based on gut feeling, my two favorites would be Kirby Smart and Dave Doeren. I don't think we can afford Smart, but Doeren makes less than 500k is a reasonable possibility. My buddy was giving me a rundown on Doeren and I like what I hear. A young coach who has seen some success and actually IS a head coach. The more I look into Dykes and Morris, the less I like them. I've seen enough abysmal defense as an NC State fan.
11/30/2012 9:35:57 AM
JT3bucky credibility watch. This has to be done to be fair to PigPen
11/30/2012 9:49:18 AM
If Debbie wants an SEC tied coach w/ SEC recruiting ability or at the very least experience recruiting in that territory, I think we will not know until Sunday at earliest...probably into middle next week...Debbie's probably waiting for the conf championship games to finish and likely for bowl games to be established. If she's going for SEC asst coach...that coach probably wants to wait out the BCS selection process and what not.
11/30/2012 10:13:20 AM
so this is gonna drag into January?
11/30/2012 10:19:25 AM
nah, once georgia beats alabama and kirby smart's ccc invitation is approved, it's done
11/30/2012 10:22:54 AM
^lol...i just think that we were premature to expect a hire this week anyways...stoops to kentucky wasn't all that surprising to be this fast because FSU should have no issue w/ Ga Tech.
11/30/2012 10:26:04 AM
I think we just found our DC or possibly our HC!!!http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/college-football/story/_/id/8692724/monte-kiffin-resign-usc-following-bowl-game
11/30/2012 11:35:06 AM
Is nobody here talking about Georgia's DC, Grantham? Saw his name pop up on ESPN rumours, where he was described as "one of the top recruiters in the nation"I guess LudaChris already mentioned him, but he's not being talked about like Smart, Morris, or Dykes.[Edited on November 30, 2012 at 11:56 AM. Reason : .]
11/30/2012 11:38:41 AM
Grantham came from the cowboys a few years ago, I doubt he's one of the best recruiters in the nation. Athens and their ladies are some of the best recruiters in the nation.[Edited on November 30, 2012 at 11:42 AM. Reason : ah i see from your username you probably know where he comes from]
11/30/2012 11:41:45 AM
Yeah, I know he went up to the NFL before comnig back to college, and he was rather successful everywhere he's been on the college landscape.Seems like a better candidate the Dykes or Morris. [Edited on November 30, 2012 at 11:46 AM. Reason : ^ yeah, didn't want to say that out of the gate, so it didn't just look like a homer pick.]
11/30/2012 11:44:49 AM
Dykes and Morris stories are old news, folks.Get me some new shit
11/30/2012 1:06:37 PM
Exactly why I posed the Grantham question.
11/30/2012 1:13:42 PM
I vote Mike Bobo from UGA if nothing else than for his name.
11/30/2012 1:22:54 PM
There is some chatter we are looking at an African American coach.Looks like Dykes didn't kill it in the interview. Not a lot of solid info this whole search which is a good and bad thing. no public rejection.
11/30/2012 1:32:11 PM
Too much admiration for the programs down the road?
11/30/2012 1:43:32 PM
Bill Cowher back to the Steelers... Mike Tomlin to NCSU!
11/30/2012 1:54:11 PM
Here comes Black Santa.
11/30/2012 2:02:54 PM
grantham?
11/30/2012 2:03:11 PM
dowager countess for HC[Edited on November 30, 2012 at 3:35 PM. Reason : or is debbie yow the dowager countess in this example?]
11/30/2012 3:34:48 PM
Lol back at the walter inside sources
11/30/2012 3:36:53 PM
So I guess we will hear more after the MAC championship game. Any thoughts on the Kent State coach other than letting his team get smashed by UK? (I think I read somewhere that he was possibly gonna interview next week, I'll have to double check that.)I like this Doeren guy though.
11/30/2012 4:14:06 PM
Doeren would be better than hazell
11/30/2012 4:33:26 PM
We're considering coaches from the MAC?
11/30/2012 4:36:36 PM
Id prefer the MAC than conf usaDo you know how many great coaches cane from the MAC?Urban MeyerBrady HokeBo schembechlerI could go on. They call it the cradle of coachesAlso Doeren was an awesome DC at wisconsin and was responsible for JJ Watt's transformation as well as recruiting some of wisconsin's better defenses[Edited on November 30, 2012 at 4:44 PM. Reason : V]
11/30/2012 4:41:56 PM
Also, Brian Kelly coached in the MAC too.
11/30/2012 4:45:10 PM
11/30/2012 4:51:00 PM
I think I could get pretty excited about a Hazell hiring
11/30/2012 5:04:33 PM
11/30/2012 5:15:11 PM
a nice rebound coach...a few years to recruit big guys...then let someone else who is MUCH younger take over[Edited on November 30, 2012 at 6:35 PM. Reason : kiffin! he's only 72]
11/30/2012 6:35:01 PM
Fumbled punt return and a 12 yard punt for Northern Illinois. Yep Doeren it is.[Edited on November 30, 2012 at 7:30 PM. Reason : ]

11/30/2012 8:02:47 PM
She'd be wearin one of these, amirite
